So I've had my phone rooted for a while on 26A using Xdabbeb's VS980 2.20. Worked well, but I started having some issues. In trying to fix those issues, I backed everything up and used this guide to revert back to stock 11A (TOT method).
Reverting back to stock worked well. Verizon started pushing OTA's (which I haven't had for a very long time). I believe I got up to 29A. However, Verizon pushed one more OTA, phone rebooted, installed step 1/2, and then step 2/2.
This is where I'm stuck. After finishing step 2/2, the phone rebooted, showed the LG logo and stopped.
I can get in to stock recovery mode. The green android flashes on screen briefly, restarts, but it get's stuck on the LG logo when it restarts.
Download modes doesn't install drivers on PC to show as a COM port. LG Flash Tool can't find it when I try to flash anything on it.
Any ideas on what to try next? I'm completely lost on where to go from here. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
TL;DR: Stock LG G2 phone is stuck on LG logo after OTA update to 39A. Recovery isn't working. Download mode isn't working.

I'm exactly on the same boat. Were you able to fix this problem?

Unfortunately, no. My phone is currently on it's way to LG to see what they can do with it. I won't know any more until late next week .
Got the word back from the repair department. The LCD screen was bad or connector (pretty much knew that). Not sure if they got it to turn on, but they were going to charge $150 to repair/refurbish it (90 day warranty). I called to get more information but the person I talked to didn't seem to know any answers to my questions, so I gave up.
I opted to buy a new LG G2 from eBay for $195 (1 year warranty).
When I get the old phone back, I'll see if it boots.

So today I set about unlocking the bootloader and rooting my Moto X 2014 Pure Edition XT1095.
Unlocking the bootloader went just fine. Then I went to root it. I booted the pure2014sb.img but it didn't work. The phone would just hang on the Motorola logo. Then I read somebody later said that doesn't work on lollipop, so I booted the CF-Auto-Root-victara-victaratmo-xt1095.img instead. That showed me the rooting status page thing before it rebooted, and then rebooted again, but when it fired up after that it was still hanging on the Motorola logo.
Then I attempted this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56928477#post56928477
Now the phone will not even hang on the logo, it gets to the animated moto logo part and then turns off half way through. I cannot get back into fastboot state either. It just doesn't respond to power + vol down at all.
EDIT: Actually scratch the not being able to get into fastboot state thing. I just had to hold the buttons down for way longer than normal. I just kept holding them until it showed something. It ended up being like 15 seconds instead of 3-4 like usual.
Help!

Same happened to me early this morning when I was trying to install 5.0.2
You have to flash any firmware you want just avoid to flash the modem and there ate several post here in the general section
Just remember. Don't flash the modem unless is the same firmware you have or else you will lose signal.
Regards
Thanks for the input. I used the instructions in this thread to get my phone back to working condition:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/general/guide-update-xt1095-pure-edition-to-t2937074
I was unable to get it to pick up the 4.4.4 to 5.0 update zip in recovery mode, so I just used the regular OTA update to do it. After that I booted the CF-Auto-Root-victara-victaratmo-xt1095.img and it worked!

Great! Glad it helps
Enjoy the lollipop Sweet my friend.
First, my phone was completely stock and not rooted. I wanted a fresh start so i TOT'ed back to 11a (i couldn't get the KDZ method to work). All of the OTA's installed fine and after downloading and installing the Lolipop update, the phone got stuck at the LG screen and stayed there for 30 minutes. I powered off the phone and did a factory reset. Still stuck at the LG screen. I was able to get back into download mode and start over. Has anyone had any issue like this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hey everyone,
I dreaded this ever since I got my H811 G4 but I think I got the bootloop bug. I was on 20o for the longest time rooted. I just recently unrooted via Superuser and then I updated to 20p using LG Bridge last night. I was browsing Instagram earlier today when my phone suddenly crashed and rebooted. It then brought me to the LG boot logo, then Tmobile and would sometimes reboot from there or go to my lock screen, work for a few seconds, and then reboot. Has anyone found a fix or something temporary so I can back up my data and possibly downgrade back to 20o? Or does anyone know of a way where I can install TWRP from download mode possibly since I can't used ADB?
Hi guys,
So I had a stock T-Mobile LG G4 H811 that I had unlocked and booted into twrp version 3.1.1-1-g4. I wasn't able to actually flash recovery of this .img becuase of a write failure. So I booted into it instead and then installed it from within twrp into the recovery partition. The actual stock software was the ORIGINAL original, which I think was android 5.1.1
From there, I cleared the cache and delvik cache and installed the G4-H811-10N-xTreme-2.0 Rom. Now, I can't boot into recovery mode anymore, and all I get is the bootloop.. but it's not dead yet because it's a software issue on my part and not a hardware failure.
Any advice on how to get it to recovery mode or at least so I can boot into twrp somehow to try and get this fixed? I tried Power+Volume Down and then let go a sec and Power+Vol Down again and it won't work at all. Just goes straight to bootloop.
Thanks in advance.. I know I screwed up somewhere.. just so many loopholes, it's easy to miss.
Best,
Johnnie
Got somewhere, still broke
Well, somehow I managed to boot into recovery mode only 1 time and installed the stock Tmobile rom. It installed, but now I get a white T-Mobile screen on boot up and it stays there. I tried using the LG Flash Tool 2014 and the stock T-Mobile H811 10N firmware for T-Mobile, but all I get is connection to server errors and the software won't install to the phone over download mode. Anyone else have this problem? I've been trying to figure this stupid thing out for 6 hours. Also, I'm wondering if installing the stock firmware caused the original recovery partition to go back to stock too which is the reason I'm no longer able to boot into recovery mode? It just doesn't recognize it. Power+vol down and then vol down doesn't do anything.
When using the LG Flash Tool 2014, all I get is Connection to Server Failed, Try again. So I do, and nothing. It fails at 9%
Thanks.

try using LGUP
Hello all ,
Device is Lg G4 H811 with 20x firmware.
I was trying to root and flash a ROM, but I screwed up at some point and apparently fouled up the bootloader. I got as far as flashing SuperSU, but after that I could not boot into recovery using the button-press method. So I used ADB to send "Fastboot boot TWRP.img." The readout said something like "Downloading boot.img" and the phone now won't boot. It will occasionally get to the T-Mobile splash screen, but will go no further. Usually it's stuck at the LG logo.
I have factory reset with the button-press method, but it doesn't make any difference. I can get into download mode.
I assume I corrupted my bootloader, and I want to use LG Up to factory reset using the 20x KDZ from Mingkee. Before I make matters worse, though, I wanted to make sure I'm on the right track.

Nevermind. Figured it out and I'm back up and running. This is an awesome community, but sometimes there's almost too much info to wade through.
Glad you were able to get your phone back up and running because what you described seemed like a bootloop issue that LG G3 and G4 are so notorious for. May I ask what worked for you or how you fixed it? I have a phone that is acting same way and I put it away thinking it was bootloop. Thanks.
