YMMV: Excellent Spigen Customer Service - G4 Accessories

Just thought I'd make a quick post about an excellent customer service experience I just had with Spigen.
I ordered their Slim Armor case and everything was fine: fit, cutouts, etc. Unfortunately, one day the kickstand popped out and I broke it trying to put it back in.
I emailed Spigen via Amazon and told my story, fully admitting I broke the kickstand and the damage was not due to a product defect or poor build quality. Spigen sent me two new kickstands at no cost, included a video on the proper way to install it, and within 7 days of filing the inquiry, I had the new pieces in my mailbox and a fully working kickstand case once again!
Of all the complaints of poor customer service for so many companies out there, just thought I'd post a positive experience in case it may help anyone else in the future.

Sweet!
Was it a direct purchase from their website, or was it through something like ebay or Amazon?

Spigen has good customer service. I had bought a clear case for my m8,and after a month and a half it was yellow. I was out of the return time, but they gave me a credit for the cost to get another Spigen case.

Have a link for the proper installation.

Bought it off of Amazon.

Review of Noreve Case for Dell Streak

I am surprised to be the first to review this product on the web, has anyone bought it? I have been resisting buying a case for my Streak for almost 3 months as I was waiting for the launch of Otterbox Commuter (yep it launched one day after I purchased Noreve, crap luck). But could not resist the temptation of a posh Noreve case with built-in kick-stand and detachable belt-clip, even though the price is steep.
Now I just received my Noreve case today, and my reaction is two-folds:
YES, I made the right choice!
High quality leather, build & design. Live up to Noreve's reputation. The case fits so seamlessly to my Streak that it feel like an integrated part of it.
Feels compact and still pocketable, though the general thickness is 2cm, and another 0.2cm for the kick-stand. Should provide decent protection from drops I think.
Built-in Kick-Stand is so cool, and does not add bulk to the case. Best kick-stand design among all Noreve's phone products IMO.
Flip cover folds nicely to the back when using the Streak in both landscape & portrait mode. No need to worry about a dangling flip when making phone calls.
Makes my Streak look like a professional digital diary. Way too cool to bring to business meetings than using a silicon or plasticky case!
Reasonable price (US$51.88 after 15% discount coupon) compared to other Streak cases, considering the quality and features. But see shipping cost below.
NO, I should have waited one more day!
NO BELT CLIP!!! Noreve's website claimed it is bundled, but it is not, and from the design it seems belt clip is not supported as there is no "screw" for clip attachment. I have send Noreve an email to question about that. A huge disappointment here.
Cheap packaging. Where is the posh gift box package that ships with typical Noreve products?
Ridiculous shipping cost (US$27.84). I received it on day 8, although Noreve's order initially stated "UPS Saver : Delivery in 2/4 days Singapore".
Conclusion, if it ships with all items as expected (belt clip, nice packaging, 2-4 days delivery), I am sure to say the money is well spent and I probably won't miss Otterbox Commuter. Unfortunately I have to live with some regrets for now.
Below are some pictures to share.

Thanks for taking time to do this
here is Noreve's response to the issues I reported:
thank you for your message. We had to remove the belt clip. The case with the device was too heavy and the belt clip was breaking too easily. We have to remove the belt clip on the website. sorry.
Packaging. As you can see the product is too big. We are working now on the same packaging as other products but it is not ready yet... so we are using this white box.
Shipping fees. 2/4 days is transit time. So it is the delay when the package is shipped, not when the order is placed. It was shipped on the 23rd. What you have to know also is that our country was blocked last week with strikes..."

So there you are, detachable belt clip is not supported but was previously advertised (see attachment), gift box packaging will be coming soon (not for early adopter like me), delivery time stated is only transit time not end-to-end.
Well I appreciate the honest & prompt response from Noreve, but that does not make me happy at all. Lesson learnt - it doesn't pay to be an early adopter/supporter. Life sucks.

As with the Tuff-Luv and Otterbox cases (and probably some others too) they forgot the cutouts for the proximity sensor. Seems like there is only one (in this case quite stupid) Streak case designer on the planet working for several OEMs...
that is not true. Noreve has cut-out for proximity sensor. I owned one.

Tuff-Luv fixed that problem as soon as they heard about it, their cases come with the correct cutouts.

Anybody ever use a case/cover from TETDED?

After a problem with my current cover, I continue my journey for a perfect case and stumbled upon this brand.
TETDED
The photos look nice but that price tags though. Not sure if the actual quality justify that price tags?
I'm interesting in this

Well it's genuine leather hand made so it's bound to be expensive. Looks good though.
Stay away from this company. The CS is very bad and the quality of their products are bad.
I've made my stupid decision to buy one of the leather case. The feel is leather but it is not leather and it does fit tight. My case came with defect. The "leather" is peeling off. It is actually a very thin coating. Mine costs $35 USD. I've got a real genuine leather case for my iphone for less than $30 USD before from another vendor, much better quality than this crap.
The worst part is..... I contacted their CS, they told me to ship it back at my own cost and they will repair it... that's right they said REPAIR it. Why should i pay $35 + another $10 shipping (They are located in HK, China) to get a damaged case?? It will prolly take another month to deliver.....what a joke. After a couple more emails, they agree to send me a replacement after I send the damaged case to them at my own cost.... again I don't see why I should pay any extra and wait for another month just to get another low quality case.
Shop somewhere else and save the hassle.

My i-Blason case failed me in only 8 months! Any other suggestions?

A few months ago I was looking for a case for my M8 that included a belt clip/holster and would offer some protection for the phone itself... but preferably WITHOUT a screen protector since I have never seen one, whether it's stick-on or part of the case, that didn't add a rainbow hue/discoloration or make the image look less sharp.
Ok, so everyone seems to go on about i-Blason. i-Blason this, i-Blason that, and it's one of the best selling and highest rated HTC M8 cases on Amazon.... and it was only $10, so I got one. Everyone seems to think they are great..... until something goes wrong that is. The belt-clip snapped today, and I figured, well, they do have a one year warranty.
... turns out, they only honor the warranty if you purchased it from their own site... at about twice the price. Their FAQ on their own website basically tells you "It's Amazon's problem" if you purchased it from them.
Ok... so i-Blason is a no-go. Guess I couldn't expect much from a $10 case..... problem is though, I seem to have almost no other options.
There are very few options that have a belt clip and aren't just a pouch/holster with no actual case, or a giant bells-and-whistles overpriced ordeal. I have only found three, and none of them seem any good:
First there is the Otterbox Defender. A brand I used to swear by..... until I had to do a warranty replacement on my previous phone, and was told it was on it's way...... then never heard from them again. And in the case of the M8 specifically, I have heard a ton of people say the M8 version of their Defender case is horrible.... and despite the overall positive score on Amazon, it's full of negative reviews. Also, it has a built-in screen protector, which o my previous phone drove me crazy with it's discoloration. The fact that this normally $50 case has been knocked down to $20 doesn't fill me with confidence:
http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Defender-HTC-One-Frustration-Free/dp/B00IL7BG5C/
Then there is the Puregear case for about $16. No screen protector and simple.... problem is it's TOO simple, there is barely any covering on the phone, especially across the front and most of the sides. It's almost just a place for the belt-clip to snag onto:
http://www.amazon.com/Puregear-Kickstand-Case-Holster-Combo/dp/B00JCS054M/
And finally, the last one I could find that was both a case and had a belt clip was the Encased "Pantera Series" for around $17. The case certainly looks nice, and promises a two year warranty. Problem is, the reviews mention issues like the case putting the window for the IR blaster on the wrong side of the phone, leaving the real IR blaster blocked, and blocking the notification led as well. Also, despite the two year warranty.... I couldn't find any information about their website no matter how much I Googled it! ... it also has a built-in screen protector like the Otterbox Defender:
http://www.amazon.com/Encased®-Pantera-Case-Warranty-Black/dp/B00PHL9DBE/
So, that's it. That's all the cases I have been able to find that are both a protective case and have a belt clip/holster, and none of them seem to be any good or fit the bill. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or have they used any of these three and can offer comments about them?

ZAGG Glass Curved now available but........

Called Zagg yesterday to ask about the curved tempered glass and the girl said it's been shipping for the past week. You have to call and order as it's still not available on their website. Now here's the kicker, It has a black painted border around the edges. :silly:
I asked if it sticks to the actual display area and she said yes, but did not sound too sure. It was $44.99 but she said she would give me 10% off and another $10.00 off discount. After hearing about the black "Painted Border" I did not order and will wait to see what others find out.
If anyone has ordered and received one please post some pictures and a review. Thank You.
Some have already had it and sent it back. See the TGSP thread. It's the same Chinese crap.

Yea, just saw that. Glad I did not order one.
Honestly I've given up hope of ever finding a decent TGSP for this phone. You need 100% adhesion to the screen for it to not look and feel like absolute balls every time, and so far all the TGSP are exactly the same garbage you can get for 20$ on eBay.
I tried a protection but it did not work
Anyone else tried the Zagg curved yet?
Must have lost my mind..........................Just picked one up at Best Buy for the Regular Edge at the everyday low price of $44.99 plus tax.
I'll see how it works out tomorrow. One thing that worries me is all the cutouts on the back are real sharp feeling. Hope they won't scratch the face of the phone.
So the Zagg glass for the edge isn't any good?
I saw these in the local EE shop on Saturday, and whilst I was there someone bought one and attempted to install it. Looked no different than all the others you get online to me (other than being more expensive), and it still didn't appear to sit on the screen properly. I'll stick with the HD Dry myself. If a premium company like Zagg can't get these things working properly, then tempered glass protectors on curved screens are a write off for me. The manufacturers just don't seem capable of getting them right but as long as people buy them they'll continue making them.

Any good tempered glass screen protectors available in India?

Hi.. Anyone from India who purchased a high quality tempered glass screen protector which fits perfectly on Oneplus 3? I purchased one from Amazon which unfortunately suffers from the same problem as others: Smaller than screen and leaves gap from the sides. If anyone has found a good screen protector which is available in India, please share its link.

Found one from Pleson on amazon. Claims to give full coverage.
Have ordered one myself. Will post impressions once it's delivered.
I can't post links since I'm new. Just search Pleson on amazon.

Please let us know about the tempered glass.
I'm ordering the orzly ones from Amazon international tomorrow. There isn't much options for us here.
What ? this is weird !
the best place to buy tempered glass is local phone accessory shop/market .
you'll get it for around 100-200 , you'll be astounded with quality of it .(i was the first time) .
@AP_on_xda, I'm not against you or anyone who buy things from local store.
Here are some pros of online purchase
1.low price-just go to local store and ask price of goods and then see price of same goods on online site. You will know how these local store are asking ridiculously high price for cheap product
2. coupons - you can get free coupons every where on internet which will further decrease price
======
And about these 100-200 screen protector
why these are so cheap comparing to good brand because they are of very cheap quality.
Oleophobic coating which is very important wans in few days and it becomes finger print magnet .
These are also not smooth as branded protectors.
Used several these low quality protectors previously and i always hated these because of oily nature.
And now purchased a nilkkin glass protector (for moto e) and my impression is wow! . they are very smooth,no finger prints ,better scratch protection ,
fits perfectly
Now after 6 month of use protector is in pristine condition
======
Currently using GadgetShield full body protection for OP3 (currently no full coverage tempered glass protector available on indian websites.once available l will install these immediately)
When someone ask me about which protector to use i always recommends good branded protector even these costing some bucks more.
And last question to anyone who uses these low quality protectors- if you are spending so much of money on phone then why you are not spending some more bucks on protection?

YES I agree with you !
i think my reply was misplaced .
i use a good quality Amzer screen protector Rs~300 .
what i saw once was my friend's Nexus 5
he had got tempered glass of 150 from local store .(in my city there's a famed *Black* kind off market )
and what shocked me was it's display's clarity .the tempered glass hardly affected the quality of the display.
although my screen protector (however more safe ) has around 90-95% kind of transparency.
it kind of degrades the display .
plus tempered glass is much more resilient to scratches (until the day it cracks).
Why my reply was misplaced?
because the OP wanted GOOD quality tempered glass(or something better)
My bad ,I didn't realise this .
BTW good advice @JumboMan
Ordered the orzly tempered glass from Amazon US. The ETA is July 28 if ordered now and it costed me Rs. 977 incl shipping. Seems like a fair deal for me. Will post my review after I receive it.
One more tip for Indian buyers, search and buy the orzly tempered glass from the Amazon US and not UK. The US one is ~RS. 300 cheaper to the UK one.
Orzly US Rs. 938
Orzly UK Rs. 1284
I also ordered the same from Amazon USA.. Do u have any idea whether we hav to pay customs duty here..i am purchasing from Amazon USA for the first time.. Thanks in advance

No, mate. The seller has to take care of everything and you still have Amazon guarantee. The only downside is that you'll have to wait a bit longer and there's no COD on international orders.
Ok so I finally received the Pleson TGSP today. The cuts outs align pretty well and the glass does cover almost all of the screen. The edges aren't really rounded or anything, just a slab of glass. One big complaint I have is that the middle part of the screen looks like it has a big oil slick between the glass. I've heard this happens because only the sides of the TGSP is adhered while the middle sort of hovers over. Hoping it will go away after a couple of days or I'm just gonna remove it.
I ordered the Orzly tempered glass from Amazon US.
I think its better to order from there itself since even on Amazon India people are selling them for a high markup around 1400-1600 (eg. the Nilikin one which btw doesn't cover the whole device).
One thing is your card may not be accepted there because of RBI regulations requiring OTP so make sure to use a compatible card there.

He probably wont. There's always problem with tracking on international orders. Don't worry. You'll get it within the stipulated date.
I got my orzly tempered glass today and it was damaged, filed a claim on Amazon. Hoping a replacement.

By damaged do you mean broken? Hope you get a replacement or refund. Btw i saw an Indian seller selling orzly on amazon india for 1300 rs some days back. Dont know if he has in stock still. One query. Did you pay any custom duty on the shipment? Thanks.
No. I paid 976 and got it. You don't have to pay anything extra other than some currency conversion charges which is negligible. Please post the link of the Indian seller.

Yes it arrived broken. No need to worry as we have Amazon guarantee. We can always claim a refund. But then the time we wait for it to arrive, that's something we lose.

That's sad. Why don't the sellers pack it well as it has to travel such a long distance from US to India.
