And it works really good!!!! =)
fantastic news, but did you really have to post it in multiple forums?
can someone close the one in the hero android development forum??
oh, and the one on the hero forum.....seems someone had a spamming moment!
I dont find the Spotify app from the market with the search. Is it area-related?
Only available in Sweden at the moment, it seems. If you read the triple post on the Hero-forum, I put up a link to the apk-file.
Kiitos! (Works great, tho offline sync seams to be bit slow atm.)

Also available in Norway....
offline sync is nowhere near as fast as the video demo for the iphone appears to be.
but then again, to sync 150 songs, you are effectively downloading them all, so can't really complain its not instant!
Also i'm in the UK on a t-mo G2...
and found it late last night when was browsing through apps on the market..
Spotify DOWN YO!
Can someone explain how its justified to charge £10 a month for this service? Is it really that good?
Allows you to sync your music to listen to it offline.
Yes, IMHO, that's worth a tenner a month.
Regards,
Dave
Is there any kind of trial available?
I'd like to see the full functionality before paying for a subscription.
Well, you can try the Spotify service directly on a Windows PC, but you won't be able to test out the Android client without a premium subscription.

Dave

I've being using it on my pc since the trial, but I wanted to see if reception was good enough for me to use this on my commute. I'm not quite sure what the offline listening people have mentioned is. Hence a few days trial would be enough for me to decide one way or another.
Offline listening means you can sync your playlists to your device, so you can listen to them without having to stream them from the net.
Your best bet is to buy a subscription, and cancel it if you are unhappy with the service.

Dave
£10 a month
Sorry to sound a bit cynical but whats up wi just plugging ya phone to pc and copy and paste
Copy and paste what? The desktop version of Spotify doesn't allow for offline play, so you've nothing downloaded to the PC.

Dave

I'm sure I'll sign up to this when I know I can afford it.
How long does syncing take? Would a playlist of 100 songs take hours?

[TV on my Droid]

Anyone know of any sites that stream TV feeds? A friend of mine got me onto vuivision.com which streams NBC, CBS, and ABC. I was able to watch the NY Giants give Oakland an asswhooping earlier. Would be cool if someone could make this into an app to give them more exposure.

Check here. I'ved done a couple for my friends but boards are hard to come by. I'm actually using a old 60GB iPod I had laying around. You can use a bunch of other stuff too. I've also tried it with my Palm Pre, Evo, and a friend's G1. The list of things able to jailbreak the PS3's are growing everyday. Just can't update past 3.41 I think and can't play online but I always used the 360 for gaming anyway. PS3 was strictly Blu rays and streaming but since the jailbreak I have actually played a few games.
Just go to game stop and buy used games. Or if craigslist don't work search for game stores in your area. Where abouts in the US do you live?

READ!!!!...Everyone start watching the event...READ!!!!

Its on Monday nights at 7 (i think) on NBC. There thinking about cancelling it because there's not enough people watching it. I know me making this thread will not change anything but its the most i can do. The show is very interesting and has a lot of potential and i would hate to see it not come on one day. I would be pissed if that happend and would probably turn into my little friend down there in my sig. So if you want to keep on living the way you are now i suggest you watch it this Monday.
Pass the word on... Tell your mother, Your brother, everyone you know.

How Much Time Have You Killed In Front Of Your TV? This Tool Tells You

WEBSITE: sivakodali.com/tv/
Me on Wednesday: Oh man! I’m going to be so productive this weekend! I’m going to work on all of my side projects!
Me on Saturday: Screw side projects! Lets re-watch all of Breaking Bad!
Do you ever wonder how much time you’ve spent watching TV shows? It’s probably a lot. But how much?
Two week’s worth? A month?
This tool crunches the numbers for you. Punch in a show you’ve watched, then how many seasons you’ve seen. It’ll tell you how much of your life each show gobbled up — and, more painfully, it’ll add up the total time across all your shows.
Have you seen every episode of Friends? That’s 5 days.
Sat through Lost twice? That’s another 3 days each.
Mad about the last thirty minutes of How I Met Your Mother? That’s okay — you spent 4 days of your life getting there, after all.
Don’t get me wrong: I love me a good TV show. I’ve watched all of the aforementioned shows in entirety at least once, and generally have a random episode of some show or another playing in the background while I work. But damn, does it add up quick.
As John Lennon is often (falsely?) quoted: “Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted.”
But he also, you know, started the freaking Beatles. No one on the planet can accuse you of wasting time after that.
Screw it. I’m going outside to build a shed or something.
>“Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted.”
good saying
I'm guessing when it says days it means 24 hours. Well it doesn't sound like a lot when you put it that way. When really Lost took me years to watch.

I personally don't want to know how much time I've already wasted, because I believe it's way too much

In certain places in Europe, not sure about other places, you have to pay a TV license fee to own a TV and watch broadcasts.

The BBC is funded by licence payers, not advertising. It means we actually have some say in the way our television is run and we also don't have to watch adverts immediately after the opening credits of a TV programme, and then every 10 minutes after that (on BBC at least). We do have other channels with advertising though. The BBC is still considered one of the best broadcasting companies in the country, for this very reason.
Owning a device that means you can watch BBC television programmes means you need to own a licence too. It is simply paying for something.
