What does that indicate?

I believe the solutions must be the same for both cellphones.
Exclamation mark means phone can't reach Google server as if you don't have connection to the internet
Restricted WiFi
Almost always what it means is that you have successfully connected to a router but that router requires you to logon to their own web site before you can access the full internet. This is not the router password but a separate password or a requirement that you agree to some sort of terms and conditions. This might be true at a larger restaurant or business where you have to logon to their own web page first before going on to the full internet.
I personally hate this because sometimes it is not evident how to get to that initial website. What is supposed to happen is that if open a browser their web site should open automatically but sometimes is doesn't. Inconvenient if you what to use the internet for something other than web browsing.

First of all I'd like to apologize if this question has been answered.
I did do some searching around but didn't quite trust my finds since they we're on different phones/forums/etc.
My question is:
Is there any possible way to use my phone as a Wifi Extender or something similar?
I am trying to find a way to use my phone as a temporary "mimic router" for use on a different device.
My problem is the device I want to connect only accepts WEP, but I don't want to mess with my current router settings just for 1 or 2 devices.
Can my T-Mo Moto X be used as an extender.

Why not just use wireless tether? I think that should be sufficient. also I'm sure you know but making your phone tether or an access point kills the battery. You should just bite the bullet.. upgrade those wifi settings!! lol

I see. hmmmm.... well a quick google search just showed me some potential solutions for you. maybe give those a read and maybe you'll have your answer
p.s. some android phone can USB tether a wireless network they're connected too when a SIM card is removed or if you place a non working SIM card in.
Hope you get those devices connected!

Hey everyone!
Quick question, and it's probably more of a general Android Wear 5.1.1 question, but does anyone know if the Urbane can connect to public WiFi hotspots which require a sign in or have a splash page?
Thanks in advance!

I believe it can, but it will open the splash page on your phone to accept the terms before your watch connects to it.
Actually I just tried it and it didn't work
We have Wifi all around my work building and you need to accept terms on a Splash page before using it. I tried accept it on my phone then connect my Urbane to the wifi, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Anyone else have any luck?
Hello people!
Before posting looked forum andnot found something that really was functional for my business.
Well, I own a smartphone Moto X 2nd Generation, never updated, never did root or unlock the bootloader. So this week I decided to upgrade it to the latest version of lollipop 5.1, and made a hardreset ..
My mistake's there, I forgot the email that was used for the first did, he did very fast to just enjoy soon the unit. And just entering this confirmation loop problem, I tried another email that I created and nothing worked .. I tried to wait ace famous 72hrs after hardreset and anything else that tried:
*/watch-g v = lRxev6aVy (Youtube)
(I do not have the option of USB Enabled, then it did not work)
* Here in the region have some '' technical '' they say they do a process that '' decouples' google the device, wipe the description:

I wonder if here in the forum have this or another method that can solve my problem ..
Well, so far I have not had even a method that solves my problem , I'm trying in some way the flash unit , the most of such OEM options are disabled as well as USB Debugging, has some way to enable ADB or via fastboot via pc ?

No, it can't be done. You have to be able to get into the phone to turn on ADB.
There is no solution that you can do. You need to ask the previous owner to login then remove the account. You can't do anything yourself.

Have you heard of the method I mentioned above ? Sera that it is really possible? I think is something like this :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749921
There is no way around it. You must talk to the person whose account is on the phone. There is no other way.

Virtualization is enabled in BIOS (Dell XPS 13 9350). Not sure where to go from here. Have been searching the web for the past hour.
Any ideas?
Same issue here.
ASUS X99-Deluxe 3.1
Does the host OS windows have internet connection?
you could use adb shell (under the remixemu/platform-tools) and try to ping the gateway and dns to see what happens.

Also came here for a solution to this. My Host PC has internet access. Thought the Player would use the same automatically but it has no internet access.
Let there be networking in Remix OS player!
Same situation here.
Mine can access the internet connection from the PC but the Remix WiFi settings are non-functional. If its set to WiFi Off, I still can access the PC connection, if its set to WiFi On, I cant see any wifi networks. In either setting I cant see any of the nodes on the local network. Maybe thats how its supposed to be for now...
I've alerted our developers about this and they'll be putting this high in their list of issues to fix. I'll update here when there's relevant news. Thanks!

And yes, the host has internet access.
Any News?
I have Lenovo Z470 i3
same issue
So there is still no solution? searched couple of hours until at least to find this thread, that I'm not alone with that.
Edit: Dell Latitude E6430 with i7.
Notebook has Ethernet access to internet via proxy or WiFi connection. Remix OS Player only has WiFi, turned off, can be turned on, but nothing happens.
Same as others above have internet on host and can use through host but is slow and won't turn on on player.
Same here since the beginning on Lenovo G580. I gave my laptop name cause some dit, but looks like more it's no connection for google play and not a problem with the hardware the player is used on. Most of my downloads were possible from web browser/else solution, but I can only remember few download/install/update with google play, except while on the lock-screen, I can see download and updates happening after launching the player.
Hope theses details may help.
Internet is key feature to your soft.
Same here, 1.0.104 build 2016092703 can't have any internet access. The only network option is WiFi, but it had nothing appeared no matter it was turned on or off.
Is there any FAQ about networking? In case if I missed.
Now working since last update.

Sorry. But my connexion is now working for any task from within the player, so I'm at least noticing people to re-download/install. I don't know from where the issue comes, nor if there are more than one with the same result, I'm not a dev.
Plus if it's related, I probably don't own the same computer as you do.
Anyway. Internet is working ^^' (there is an update to Remix Wi-Fi app too. This may be the reason ?)
And like AmoraRei says, remember to modify your antivirus/firewall/windows things rules or to create specific ones for RemixOS. People sometimes fail to catch the notifications about connection prevention, or are just in auto mode so sometimes there are programs that may lack full connection possibilities.

Actually, @codecop had the right idea to help us troubleshoot your (and everyone's) Wi-Fi issues. Can you guys follow his post (page 1 of this thread, 2nd post down) and share your info here in this thread? We'll troubleshoot through this info. Thanks!
Hi to All, I know this has nothing to do with phones, but there might just be someone here who can solve this anyway
My problem is that I live in an area in th Philippines, where Globe telecom is the only solution for internet, and a very unstable one. Sometimes the speed is all the way down to 80Kbps and sometimes it goes to 0.
This makes using a Chromecast very dificult, it's possible to use when the speed is fine, but a sudden drop in speed sends chromecast in buffering mode. I tried to get Google to help, to no avail - they don't care.
I would like to have it not searching for internet, as 99.9% of the time i use it for internal casting(Offline)!
Anyone have a solution for this?
My Chromecast is 3rd gen. According to this page https://www.techthatworks.net/electronic/what-generation-chromecast-do-i-have and use Firmware(checked that in Home App) 1.49.230269
Hope to hear from you smart people soon as this is driving me nuts, I'm back to use USB stick and not all format are supported, so I have to convert and convert and so on, in order to watch the clips.
Thank you in advance
Jan

Hi Peppe, why would it be illegal, I paid for the device - its mine I just want it to stop looking for the internet all the time, and do what it was bought for -casting.
Not possible, it's a real design flaw of the chromecast. I have slow internet and use it for internal casting too, very frustrating. Maybe get a bluray player or a roku they are better.
Thank you

The 3rd gen Chromecast will not boot or function if it can't hit Google's servers at boot. If it looses general internet connection, it will go to a "I've lost my brains" type of screen and not let you do anything. For a Chromecast, the internet connection is sadly required even if you're just mirroring locally.
