first of all otg is required hardware support and there isn't hardware support in Android one so it needs a lot of development and time and if they do develop otg Android one can't supply power there's a thread in general section look into it

Didn't he said it before ? He said the phone cannot supply up the power for the OTG. It means no.

I am not sure its impossible
There was a thread where someone did try making OTG kernel for LP
And yes, another micromax phone (idr the name) with same chipset and all does support OTG after kernel modification
Its jusy that you cant use it for a prolonged period or u can burn ur circuit

chipsets are same but hardware differs!!! got what I'm trying to say?? I think it is possible we just need some DEV attention and DEVS are busy in cooking and debugging roms and kernels so try to understand

I know that the micro USB port in p990 is unpowered, however pengus77 is working for USB otg in your kernel utilizing a otg cable with splitter USB.

I'm a contributor there. I'm just curious as to what parts they change. seeing as mtk devices are dirt cheap here, I might consider getting some to work on if their sources aren't desperately bad

Unfortunately the problem is MTK's sources are a disorganized mess, and in many cases, their HALs are just wrappers around a blob. The source we have for R819 is for 4.2 - while xplodwild got 4.3 partially booting on R819, so far, the display drivers just crash on boot on 4.4.

From what I've looked at so far in the uploaded patch file, it doesn't seem to be too good. I was expecting to see diff patches.. from what is included in it, it seems to be partial, and out of the camera, there are only headers.

Root your tab and install the trickster Mode.app. With this app you can change the Governore to conservative and Scheduler to cfg or noop.

I was able flash the Kernel but it didnt work as I told you, Im not into source coding stuff but practically it doesnt seen to work on the Official LMY470. Atleast you compiled it before anyone so thanks for that and keep working on it. Also, will a kernal from a stock OTG supporing device help?

I tried it with a normal OTG cable.
I used USB Host Diagnostics and Stick mount apps.
USB Host Diagnostics results are in the screenshot attached.
ES File Manager was able to detect something but couldn't open it.
I think power external power is the main issue here as someof my pen drives with LEDs didn't light up.

it is not possible because of below facts.
-It is the company who make a device project treble compatible. Micromax dont care about our phone.
- When buy mobile, mobile boot from Oreo OS. Yureka has kitkat or lollipop.
It's possible....but I think only few of us needs it.... nobody else cares......it needs knowledge and lots of hardworks for implementing treble in older devices....but possible.... another thing why the developers not doing this is because there is no support from users.....they are simply avoiding the developers......it takes many sleepless nights and all for making something....but many ones still not even hit a thanks
