Hy everyone.
I have kindle fire HD 7" ( 1 gen if i remember right). It is successfully rooted, and has CM 12.1. Being not able to install "Google Play Game" app, i read that the solution can be to reset factory settings. And i did it. So what i have now: it's loading with yellow label, than with blue. Than it show Teamwin logo, and going looping (logo periodically redrawing).
The system have sound that some device is connecting, but i can't find it in Device Manager. Adb devices says that there no device.
What should i do now ?

I manage to resurrect my Kindle. So what i did:
- I loaded to fastboot, using handmade factory cable (actually i just closed first and fife pins);
- Then i switched to normal USB cable;
- Since PC didn't recognize device by default, i went to Device Manager and set "ADB fastboot driver ... " to my unknown device;
- I find new version of TWRP and flashed it using fastboot.
After that, it rebooted, tried to access to TWRP, installed some script and rebooted again. After that i have only CM12 logo. So, i rebooted to recovery, and successfully entered there. And it even automatically mount it as storage to PC. But i have cm12 already there, so i flashed it with Gapps and everything are working perfectly.
Hope this will help someone.
P.S.
I even managed to install Google Play Game app. It didn't install through Play market again. I just download official apk somewhere else, and install it through file manager. And its working now
Hi..
I have exactly the very same problem....
(see http://forum.xda-developers.com/kin...lp/kf-hd-7-tate-recovery-loop-cm12-1-t3138998)
TWRP loop after CM12.1 factory reset.
I tried the same things. Today I received my fastboot cable. I just tried to flash TWRP 2.7.0.0 from CM. But this results in the very same TWRP loop. Which TWRP version did you flash?
Where did you get it from?
Thanks!
---------- Post added at 11:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:15 PM ----------
Ok...
I am one step further now.
I did a
Code:
fastboot -i 0x1949 -w
to format userdata and cache. Now it boots into my TWRP 2.7.0.0.
Lets see how far I come now....

You need a fastboot cable to do this. It is not working with a regular USB cable!
When plugin in this cable your device should switch to "fastboot" mode...
It can be seen with a orange "fastboot" label on the screen.
BTW:
In the meantime i flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 from hashcode here in the forum. Then I reinstalled CM 12.1 and I am now back in business for some days now...
Oh yes tablet is back wohoooooooo thanks man!

Hello,
Let me start by saying I have looked a searched through several other threads but cannot seem to find anything that mimics my problem 100%. I had rooted the Kindle Fire HD 7" a few weeks ago and have been going along with no problem. One day (cannot remember what I installed) the KFHD crashed on me and wanted me to Restore the device in a "download mode" type of screen (used the volume buttons to select restore and power to confirm selection.) The device restarted just fine and was working normally. I went through the KFFirstAide root process again, root checker told me it was rooted. Starting using the options in KFFA to diable OTA, install play store, install google apps, installed Holo Launcher.. Some of the programs did not seem to install properly and didn't like the way things were behaving so I went to the Settings/Device/Restore to Factory Defaults...
After that process finished I am not at an Android setup screen. It has a blue Welcome at the top, select Language below that, Start below that, and a green outlined Android guy below that. When I hit start it says Just a sec.... and eventually get the message Setup Wizard has Stopped.. I can no longer see Kindle Fire ADB in the Device Manger.. Nothing seems to work on KFFA.. I have tried using the fastboot command in a command prompt (says waiting for device) and never does anything..
Basically I would like to know, what steps I may have to take to get the device to load properly again, and hopefully root the device again. IIRC the software version I last saw was 7.3.1...
Thank you for your time and assistance and appologize if it has been discussed before, but I just couldn't seem to find it and not sure what this problem is called to be able to properly search for it..
Before. it says "waiting for device", you should have the kindle powered off and disconnected from the computer. Plug it in after it says "waiting for device" and it should boot into fastboot.

Yep, it is powered off and the cable is disconnected. I plug it in after it says waiting for device and it powers up to the Welcome Setup screen.the command prompt on the computer still says < waiting for device >
When I hold one of the volume buttons and press power on it says Safe Mode at the bottom of the screen. Might there be something I can work with in that? Is there another boot method similar to "download" mode on the GalaxySIII?

Sounds like you just need to get a factory cable and use that to get into fastboot mode. If the device is not recognized by adb using the fastboot cmds will not work on the 7" variant, that only works on the 8.9".
Is there a way to make on or do I have to order it?
Just ordered a factory cable ... what should I do when I get it?

You can get fast boot on the KFHD7 using the stock cable and adb by issuing the adb commands then running "adb reboot bootloader" I think it was. I did it this afternoon when coming off the stock ROM to cm10.1
Edit: n/m, I though he had adb but it wouldn't boot fastboot on a restart with the cable. Guess it doesn't help his case if adb itself won't show.

Since your boot loader is still starting up okay, when powered up with the factory/fastboot cable attached it should jump straight into fastboot. You can then use the fast boot command line tool in the adb kit from Google to push either a backup you made previously, or one from a recovery thread back onto your device. Check in the android development section, there's plenty on info on using fastboot.

Ok. I will try that forum when it arrives.. To the best of my knowledge, I had not created a backup at any time so I will search out something from the Recovery Thread.
Thank you

I am just 100% confused now.. I have searched and searched and everything I am reading is just making me more confused.
The cable will put the device into fast boot and will show up in Device Manager as an ADB Device.. I ran option 3 on KFFA and I don't believe the entire system image downloaded as now I am stuck on a screen with a red triangle asking to reboot or restore the device. Neither option does anything.
I have looked in recovery threads for fresh stock images but only find links and directions to TWRP.. Which, if I understand correctly, needs a 2nd bootloader.. And still will need a fresh stock image from amazon. Also, in KFFA it says to connect the device with a normal cable, not fastboot cable, in ADB mode for TWRP and the second bootloader.. I cannot get into the KF to enable ADB like it asks because I cannot get anything to load..
I have downloaded kfhd7-amazon-os-7.3.1 from goo.im and it comes in a zip file. I am not really sure of what to do..
I looked in the Android Development section of this forum and there are only 18 threads that don't talk about fastboot either. Do I need to go to a general Android Development section, not in the Kindle Fire Forum Sections?
I just want to go back to 100% factory original and start over from there..
Also, the KindleFireFirstAide dropbox seems to be overloaded and suspended, so I cannot get the images from there at the moment through their tool.

You didn't need a fast boot cable. All you needed to do was setup ADB drivers and issue the command "adb reboot bootloader"

Even though the device was no longer showing up in the windows device manager as Kindle Fire ADB? The Kindle was being recognized under Mobile Devices.
I don't know if I will be able to do that now that I used Fastboot to reload Factory Reset through KindleFire First Aide (option 3).. I don't think the entire system.img downloaded before it tried to install it and their dropbox server is down now so I can't rerun the command right now.
Solved
Found a link, finally, to onemeila's KFHD System.img Restore tool... Used the fastboot cabled and got it installed and everything seems to be running flawlessly.
Same Story Here...

2.connect kindle to pc and boot up the kindle normally
3.extract the Zip and open tha bat file

Me too. HELP!!! :crying::crying::crying:
Guys! It's stuck on teamwin screen!
It's so disheartening to see this lay waste. Please someone please help me!
So i have just got my fastboot cable the problem is that every time i type in a command e.g fastboot reboot all it says is <waiting for device> if i type fastboot devices nothing is there but when i fastboot cable is in device manager shows it under android phone.
Edit: When i type fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product i get product: Tate-PVT-08
finished. total time: 0.004s
But any other command just gives me <waiting for device>
Im confused on what fastboot cable i should buy for my tate (Kindle fire HD 7") i have seen 79cm ones 3ft ones and other ones i don't want to end up buying the wrong one can someone help me Here are the ones i looked at.
also would i be able to use the fastboot cable even if my my kidnle doesn't connect to my pc and when i boot it up it gets up to the yellow boot logo then flashes then repeats this.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/3213...ICEP3.0.0-L&ff14=122&viphx=1&ops=true&ff13=80
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/79cm-Micr...-Unbrick-for-Amazon-Kindle-Fire-/251037283350
http://www.amazon.com/Fastboot-Motorola-Factory-Atomic-Market/dp/B00KYVEM1I
if you are wondering why i need a fastboot cable its because my tate is hard bricked when i boot it up it stays on the yellow boot logo then flashes then goes back to the yelow boot logo and just keeps looping.
Either of the two you've found should work. Assuming your kindle isn't damaged it will enter fastboot mode as soon as power is supplied to the cable (Yellow logo first, then the fastboot spash screen).

Generally Rom zips are not flashed in fastboot mode, they are scripted to install in a custom recovery.

I've been playing this game for many hours today/yesterday, my experience is:
plug in fastboot cable, reboot KFHD7, at this point once you see fastboot displayed on device you can disconnect and re-connect with standard cable.
Use KFHD_SRT_v1.3.0 (search XDA for download), use option 3 "Factory recovery".
Use option 6 to reboot normally.
Good luck, John

An app in google play store wasn't installing correctly and I was told a factory reset would fix my issue but now when the Kindle HD reboots it stays on the blue screen teamwin logo and keeps looping. How do I solve this ?
p.s my fastbooy cable is coming tomorrow but not sure what to do with it

Hello,
Fortunately, i was in the same position as you and that too, for a whole year and 3 months. But I was a noob at that time. With your fastboot cable to be usable(no drivers needed but just a simple program), you need to get (Minimal ADB and Fastboot. The link is provided for download. Now you need to do some research. For me I found out that the main problem was that it was a TWRP problem and nothing else. So I am guessing you ahve the exact same. You need to go to CyanogenMod Wiki(discountinued so you'll have to wait until Lineage OS gets their Wiki up and then figure it out) and from there find your device and then the installation instructions whihc include the downlaod link for TWRP. From there download the recovery(it will link you to android file host or something like that). Now you can install Minimal Adb and Fastboot(MAF) and install it wherever convenient to you. Now you can place the zip file of recovery in the folder where MAF is installed and rename it to recovery.zip for your convenience. In that folder, open the exe that says "MAFAF" or something to that extent(dont' have it memorized lol). Now connect your fastboot cable to your Kindle and it should turn on with a screen on the kindle that says Fastboot and then Kindle. Now on your MAF, you cna check it's working by typing
Code:
fastboot devices
or
Code:
adb devices
. In theory, you should get something like " recovery (device number[random letters and numbers])". From this you can now type in
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.zip
as done to flash our TWRP recovery. When this finishes(shouldn't take to long), you can detach the fastboot form the computer and device. Next, hodl down power to turn it off. Wait like 5 seconds after shut down and then turn the Kindle back on. This should momentarily boot into TWRP and then it will take off into your ROM or whatever OS you have installed. Now you should have not jsut fixed your problem but got TWRP to work too and from there it is easy to do stuff without the need of a PC. Hope this helps and feel free to quote me with a post if something didn't work or messed up. Sorry for bad grammer and spelling. Thanks!

Sorted thank you!
I had a tate running candy lollipop for years, my kids had it and got a new tablet yesterday. I took the old tate and upgraded to crdroid, full wipes, was running fine. Then, me being an idiot I tried flashing magisk which resulted in the tate not booting past the yellow/orange kindle fire logo.
I had crdroid 7.1.2 and twrp 3.0 installed, cant boot to recovery, cant boot at all. Fastboot hangs on <waiting for devices> and I know I have fastboot/adb/sdk/kindle drivers etc all installed but still nothing. I dont care if I have to flash it all back to fireOS or whatever, just want it working, I did have a factory cable from 4 years ago but cant find it, probably lost...
Is there anything I can do with normal usb cables? Or do I need to order a new cable? Any key combinations to try? any simple reset tools? KFFaide doesnt 'seem' to be of any use as its asking to choose option 15 but I dont have that many options, but that is all set up correctly with the paths etc...
Cheers.

I had this exact problem and solved it. For more context I would read some of the posts before it where I explain my problem (start with Feb 10).

Cheers mate, I had already got a cable ordered as I figured there was nothing I could do with any of these 20+ usb cables I must have lying around my house
I'll wait for that to turn up and go straight to just installing the freedom boot img, hopefully it all works as the crdroid rom was surprisingly good in the half hour I was using it.
Cheers again.
IT WORKED!!!!!

I literally did the exact same thing as you. Flashed crdroid, flashed magisk later without thinking, stuck on the boot loop, unable to get into twrp recovery.
Got a fastboot cable, able to get tablet into fastboot, and followed Devo7v's instructions from the other thread that was linked, and afterwards I'm still stuck bootlooping, no access to recovery. I've tried so many different things. Can anyone help?

Update: (sooner than I expected)
After almost giving up, came across the Ultimate Unbrick Utility on Tekify (don't have enough posts here to link directly, yet). I was able to use it to finally reset my Tate to factory settings with a fastboot cable, and correctly boot. It bootlooped once before booting correctly.

Sorry, I havent actually logged on here for ages so only just saw this.
Mine was just really simple, D/L these 2 files:
boot kfhd7-freedom-boot-7.4.6.img
recovery kfhd7-twrp-2.8.7.0-recovery.img
from here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=34232
And placed on desktop, got SDK downloaded and installed from this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaNM-lt_aHw
Kindle fire HD drivers from THIS link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1890413
And rebooted PC, opened cmd prompt and entered: fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
Plugged in turned off kindle with the fastboot cable, cmd prompt acknowledged it was plugged in
entered: cd c:\users\ROBNEY\desktop
fastboot -i 0x1949 flash boot kfhd7-freedom-boot-7.4.6.img [enter]
fastboot -i 0x1949 flash recovery kfhd7-twrp-2.8.7.0-recovery.img [enter]
fastboot -i 0x1949 reboot [REMOVE CABLE THE MICROSECOND THE FASTBOOT LOGO DISSAPEARS FROM KINDLE SCREEN]
Then you can reboot to twrp (hold power and volume up, let go of power when kindle logo turns blue)
