@kentax You'll need Layers Manager from the Play Store.
Find the Overlays HERE.
Here's the Instructions for installation.
Step 1: Find a theme(layer)/themes(layers) you want to install.
Step 2: Download the apk or zip. (If it is a zip first extract it to somewhere)
Step 3: Copy the overlay apk into /sdcard/SykoPath-Overlays/Other Overlays. (Or copy them to the appropriate existing folder based on what they do)
Step 4: Go into the Layers app and click refresh.
Step 5: Scroll to the Other overlays section. (Or the section that belongs to the folder you've put the apk in)
Step 6: Press the "Open Category Folder" option.
You will now see a list of overlays that you have added, if an overlay is activated it will have a blue background.
Step 7: Long press on the overlay you added - this will open a FAB menu.
Step 8: Click the icon that looks like two pages overlaid. (You can also click the menu button and select 'Copy Ovl(s) To /vendor/overlay')
Step 9: Select if you want to reboot now or later.
You might want to visit the Official RRO Thread.

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam works together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
SlimLP is currently in alpha/beta stage, some custom features are already in place, but much much more is planned for the future.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
SlimLP is the project name for SlimRoms based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and offers the following original features:
Slim Dialer
A full replacement of the official Google closed source dialer with added features. - We've got you covered.
Privacy guard
Disable unnecessary permissions set by app developers. - Privacy is part of the experience.
Slim Center [WIP]
Downloads, contact information, system app removal. - More fun than you can shake a stick at.
System-Wide Keyboard Controls
Rotation, cursor control, optional emoticons..etc. - You'll be tapping away to your heart's content.
Custom Shortcuts [WIP]
Hardware keys, Navigation Ring, Navigation Bar, Lockscreen, Tiles, Notifications etc. - Customize it the way you like it.
GAPPs
Our resident Gapps guru, @dankoman, is still working on our custom Gapps. For now please, use those provided here.
NOTE
I only accept proper bug reports. This means you always have to attach logs and use DevDB to report bugs instead of cluttering the thread.

1. Unlock bootloader (backup whole internal/external sd + TA-partition to your pc, because unlocking wipes all)
2. Put files on your phone, then flash random custom kernel like Hodorkernel
3. Now you boot in recovery and full wipe flash rom, gapps and maybe supersu (not sure if the rom is prerooted)
4. Reboot & enjoy

It's not just this bug (which I "discovered" while taking a makro of one of my drawings, like: 'what the hell this line is much too curved, I have to correct it.. Wait... No its not curved at all' )
No it's also about the dedicated camera-button not working correctly and all the cool things like time-shift and the like.

But what is the problem with AOSP, so it can't make use of hardware as primitive as a dedicated camera-button? it's one of Z2s hardware-features, and even recovery can make use of or to load fota-recovery.
(I'm not really asking for this feature, if Devs don't mind, then it's fine. Nobody forces me to use their work)

Flashed the ROM, been using it for the couple of hours and honestly it's flawless and super smooth. (Ask me, I use 1.5x Animation Scales).
The best part of all, U-TOUCH has been implemented and works just fine.
This is the very first build so it's very close to complete stock Android but that's very understandable. However, will certainly be looking forward to newer builds with more functionality included.
Also, flashed SuperSU to gain root access and no issues with that either.
However, MX Player did indicate some error (screenshot attached) but nevertheless didn't affect video playback.
Also, tried to change DPI manually in build.prop file which works on every ROM used but here somehow the default value gets restored on reboot.
Anyhow, fantastic ROM! Will be following the development closely.
Thanks a lot!
Smoothness is great on it. Bt has one major bug data not working

I was using NucleaRom Nougat previously and I'm sorry I didn't use SlimRom 7 for long enough to measure the battery consumption. Since the ROM is in very initial stages it lacks extra features like network speed monitor etc which I rely upon a lot.
But having said that, I'll be really looking forward to updates of this ROM since it's AOSP based and really very smooth and when Xposed framework for Android 7.0 comes out, it's going to be a delight using this ROM.
I think for the sake of getting the feel, you should try this ROM.
And I think battery life should be better than other ROMs since it comes with minimum preinstalled apps and services.

Q: Is this Android 7 (Nougat)?
A: Yes, this is Android 7.1.2
Q: What code is Oct-N based on?
A: This version of Oct-N is based on LineageOS 14.1
Q: Why isn't there XYZ feature?
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But all the others have..
A: ROM developers, build something they want to use. The ROM developer that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't include (or don't want to include), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Oct-N.
Q: What about root?
A: Root is removed by default (user will be able to flash which ever root zip they want)
Bugs:
Bugs happen. Our testers are very good at breaking things, but no where near as good as the rest of the Android public. In order to investigate and fix issues, we need the help of the users who are going to report them. The Android OS has many nifty features to help us in this, but only if we can engage the user to assist us.
Logs, Logcat, and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB)
Like any other OS, Android has multiple log files that are generated and record the goings-on of the system. As a user, you have two basic ways to view and pull these to send to us. Without the information in the logfiles, there simply is not a whole lot of information to go on.
Log file APKs
Team OctOs recommends SysLog from the Android Market. This application will allow you to selectively pick any (or all) of the system logs, compress them into a .ZIP file, and allow you to save, email, move to your Copy/DropBox/Cloud Storage account, etc.
ADB Logcat
The Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) is a powerful tool available from Google as part of the Android Software Development Kit (SDK). Used for many things, being able to selectively see, in real-time, what your device is doing cannot be downplayed. While there is more setup involved, if you are doing consistent ROM flashing, you really should invest the time to get setup properly to do it.
ADB Logcat tutorial here: How to create a logcat log
Basic Instructions:
1. Download ROM .zip file and MD5 file, and grab your favorite Open Gapps package http://opengapps.org
2. Reboot to Recovery (Note: Use Reboot to Recovery from Power Menu, Hardware-based boot to recovery, or adb reboot recovery - ROM Manager or similar software is NOT supported)
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses - We do not support flashing on CWM ---
The Oct-N ROM installation script will automatically wipe /system, /cache, and /dalvik-cache. There is no need to do these before or after flashing the ROM unless you are instructed to by your Gapps Provider. When dirty flashing weekly updates, you MUST reflash Gapps along with any other files, apps, custom mods or kernels etc.. (anything that resides in system partition)
3 Flash ROM, GApps and any additional .ZIP files
4. Reboot

The foundation of the Android OS is the fact that is it open-source. We have all code we use internally in the creation of Oct-N available on our GitHub repositories.
Unless otherwise specified, all Oct-N builds kernel souce can be found on github at Team OctOS
