I had an older version but used my computer to flash 2.6.0.0, which didnt do anything. i then flashed CWM 6.0.3.3 (touch) using my computer merely out of frustration last night. Here is the process I used for flashing both imgs in case you were curious: shift + right click in the folder with CWM img, fastboot flash recovery "name_of_the_recovery.img," fastboot erase cache.
Once again, this didnt do a thing, I just keep getting the same error when i touch "choose zip from sdcard" ---> E: Can't mount /sdcard/

[Q] Flashing kernel through recovery problem

Hi.
After unlocking my HTC, installing recovery and a custom ROM (ARHD 13.3) I have a problem with flashing kernels through recovery. Every time when it starts, phone reboots into system, just after the flashing starts, withough flashing the kernel. Any ideas?
Anyone? :-\ tried reflashing Rom with full wipe, tried other roms, changed the recovery...always the same.

Sounds strange! What kernel are you trying to flash? Did you also make sure your download's MD5 is correct; could be a bad download.
Yes, md5 sum is correct. I'm trying to flash anything strange is that after full wipe and reflashing Rom I can flash anything before first boot. After first boot can't flash zip files, like Rom cleaner or kernel. Phone always reboots just after flashing starts.
Once I've found that someone had such problem and formating something through adb helped...but can't find this info again
I tried flashing almost every kernel available.

I think Rom Cleaner should be flashed before first boot anyway, but not the kernel. Are you clearing cache and dalvik before trying to flash?
Yes. I even clean cache through sdk :-\ yep, the Rom cleaner should be flashed before first boot, but anyway it shouldn't reboot even later as I think.

Weird
Just for the sake of trying, a couple of ideas:
1- wipe the cache from recovery (not fastboot) and also wipe dalvik, then immediately flash kernel
2- perhaps there's a permission issue with the zip(s) / folder(s)
EDIT: perhaps you need to update recovery?
I reflashed recovery, tried CWM, TWRP...same on both think about going back to stock with RUU, then trying everything again from the start:-\
First advance...tried.
Second...U mean fixing permissions? Don't know if it's related to that problem, but of course will try.

Though I don't think custom recovery would have issues with permissions (since it's su privilege), it could be the folder where your zip files are doesnt have rw permission, and the recovery attempts to access the folder, is unable to, and therefore just reboots.
Try putting the zip file in a different directory (or maybe even the root folder) and try again.
In root folder? Don't understand where exactly...tried to place it on different locations in storage.

Obvious question, but the kernel is for your version of Android isn't it? You're not flashing a 4.3 kernel on to 4.2.2?
of course not I'm on android 4.2.2 and flashing the 4.2.2 kernel version
---------------------------
as for now everything's ok. Frankly speaking I didn't do anything new. reflashed recovery for the third time i believe, did the full wipe also few times, flashed arhd, rom cleaner and the kernel one by one and it works...for now
---------------------------
and no..it's still the same. After first boot, I rebooted into recevery, tried to flash different zip and what....and reboot just after flashing:/ it makes me sick...:/
Thanks to one and all. I was facing the same issue of being unable to install the Bulletproof kernel on my HTC One having ViperOne 4.2.0 custom rom and TWRP 2.6.3.3 recovery.
I followed the advice here and wiped 'Dalvik cache' and 'cache' and (without rebooting) directly dirty flashed the Bulletproof kernel which did the trick.
Hope this helps someone else too.
Got the same problem. Tried with TWRP 2.6.6.3, 2.6.6.4 & actual CWM with failed tries to flash kernel, bootscreens, themes & the 360 camera fix.
Also tried to flash these recovery via fastboot and at least the m7&m7ul versions.
It happens suddenly
Btw: i'm on an tampered,unlocked hboot 1.54
Any help or ideas are much appreciated

Like I mention in every one of these threads, Status 7 is, at least 99% of the time, a bad download. Redownload and verify the MD5 checksum.
The MD5 for the official nightly is "513639551c586888db38bc9b17c7dab2". Use this program to verify the MD5 checksum.

4.4 needs the latest CWM to install. Try using Philz Touch Recovery or install the latest img from the Clockwork website.
I don't know if any of you guys solved your issues but you need to download cm11 onto external SD card then download philz touch version of cwm also on ESD card. Flash philz touch in your already existing cwm whatever version that may be. I forgot if it will boot back into recovery automatically but get back into recovery. If you are soft bricked get back in recovery by holding the power and vol up button I think and just flash rom as normal wipe data/cache/dalvik etc. That's how fixed my status 7 and flashed OSE 4.4.2 and loving it. Hope I helped.

Can't Flash New Roms in TWRP (Status 7)

I have been trying to update my Nexus 7 to a F2FS file system with LegoKernel and a compatible rom. I tried downloading the latest version of SlimKat(10), but when I try to flash it in TWRP (after a cache wipe), I get a Status 7 error after a minute or two of the flash idling. Rebooting the tablet normally after trying this just puts me in a bootloop of the SlimKat logo. I was able to successfully push a zip of OmniRom via ADB, but the install fails immediately when I try and flash it. What should I do? My tablet is temporarily bricked, so the only way I can use it is via recovery or fastboot.
Actually, it seems that EVERY time I try to push a .zip rom to my device via ADB, it fails the install immediately. What should I do?

Hey man sorry you are having issues. Its probably something simple.... Did you install the all-f2fs recovery including flash formatpartitions.zip?
Also is the slimkat you are downloading from the all-f2fs slimkat thread. Not regular slimkat?

I downloaded the modified bootloader and LegoKernel from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2664392 , and downloaded version 3.10 (the latest version to date) of SlimKat's F2FS derivative from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678142
Okay, I was able to borrow a USB-OTG cable and try flashing a redownloaded version of the SlimKat rom, and this time, the install was successful! So, I reinstalled LegoKernel, as well, and formatted my device afterwards. Unfortunately, I am now greeted with the Google splash screen on startup.
Bump, because I'm still totally lost.
Bump again. No ideas at all?
The OP says:
"NOTE This kernel version doesn't support "All-F2FS."
Are you trying to flash an all f2fs ROM? Could be as simple as that.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678140 is where you need to go if you want all f2fs.

[Q] TWRP crashes when flashing supersu

Hey,
After a random reboot I seem to have lost my root. I tried first to re-download the supersu app from Google Play but it gave me an error when trying to normally install the binaries. So I tried flushing the supersu v1.93 zip file in recovery (TWTP), but the recovery just crashes every time in the installation and the phone reboots. I tried reinstalling it many times with and without the app already on the device and I also tried using the remove feature in the app.
I'm currently with ARHD, sense 5.1, android 4.3
Thanks for any help,
Dan
