Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for the feedback as well. I've been running it myself and so far found that FM radio doesn't want to work. Other than that I'm quite pleased.
Dude... Bluetooth working flawlessly. First AOSPlike L rom I found with working Bluetooth. I'd donate if I wasn't MC Hammer broke. Thanks.
I can download the file without any problem, but I can't view the md5.....any ideas?
Edit: I figured it out using the source code from the md5 file.
Yet another CM based ROM for our sprint m7. Wonderful. Great work man.
Only one thing I would like to ask as its not mentioned in op. Does the kernel support dt2w feature?
Thanks...

Not that im aware of currently but i do plan on adding some things to the kernel. Maybe I'll try to build a flashable to use on any rom, im not sure yet but Sprint is the oddball when it comes to kernels.
Hi
I tried the newer version. I did not due a full wipe. After install, I kept getting a message that Google play had stopped. I reinstalled Gapps, but it continued. I just went back to 2.7.. No more messages. Do I need to do a full wipe or is anyone else having the same problem?
Thank you
no mobile data on CDMA . When I went to check the APN's, I found the list to be completely empty
I decided to give 2.8 a shot and so far so good. To this point everything I've used (data, call and text) seems to be working well, but I haven't used it 24 hours yet and will post back if I come across any issues. I'll be trying GPS and the hotspot later so those are still an unknown.

Yes, I did a full wipe including system. Since my first post I also tried out the GPS and hotspot (internet included) and they are both working.
Think I should pass along that during the setup after reboot there is a process called something like cellular phone set up (not exactly what it's called but you will know when you see it). About 2 minutes into this set up it will pop up a SU request and if you're not paying attention you will miss it.

Kernel availability.
Are there any kernels that work with this rom?
The colors look a bit flat on the stock one would love to change that
Thanks in advance.
Experiencing repeated WiFi connection drops? This happens to me on all cm12 ROMs. I have tried checking the advanced wireless options to not shift to mobile ap when the WiFi connection is poor. When I check that option, it is stable only until I turn WiFi off and on and it starts again. I can't seem to find anyone else on the forum with this issue. It must be a cm bug. Anyone else with similar problems?

Tried the commotio rom for the m8 yesterday, it appears that vanir is using CM for the base now which kind of sucks because I'd love to have seen them stick with an aosp base. Still a cool rom though either way.

HI,
Are you confirming that everything works on the Tipsy build?
If so, what process did you follow? Am GSM international
Flashed tipsey m8 alpha v3.0 20151128-1701.zip and then flashed Banks 6.0, gaps and exposed v78-23. After flash and setup, then flashed extreme music mod and Dolby atmos 6.5. Could be your gaps?? Some aren't working I've found banks is the best . I'm using a Verizon model with a T-Mobile sim. Let me know where your getting hung up in the install.
Is this rom rooted?
Sent from my m8 using XDA Free mobile app
OK I got it to boot and so far no problems. I tried Banks gaps and open and many other's. Ended up going to there Google plus community and then there link to there download page for all ROMs by vanir. In it is gaps 60arm-DHO-Gaps.zip . I used that gaps with the build in this thread and it booted and cleared setup with no crashes.
Here is the link for vanir gaps from there community page on Google plus.
http://www.emccann.net/dho/5-Gapps/
As for the question above me asking if it's rooted. All these are rooted whether it has SuperSU installed on boot or not. Just goto about phone, hit build several times to get developer options up and then in developer options about five down will be root access. It's at no be default . You can change it for apps, or ADB, or both. It will prompt you like SuperSU when a app is asking for root permission. Same as SuperSU

I do not have my m7 activated on any networks currently so you tell me the things which don't work that I cannot test.
At this point I'm aware of the camera crashing and it has a red tint & sometimes purple.
Great to see this Dev again, really appreciated your other Roms; Candy5 is my daily driver.
(I do not have this phone connected so I can't test data)
Glad to see this up and running, I've downloaded it and flashed it with no problems (I flashed 6.0 Open Gapps 1/26, SU 2.57 and Xposed v79 with TWRP 2.8.7.0). I'm happy to report that all the settings worked with no problems or FCs system wise except FM Radio (Happens on all MM Roms for M7SPR like Vanir 6.0).
All kernel settings are there and I didn't get any random boots. Sound worked for me with no problem and no G-services random stops. Camera has its disconnecting (as stated) but was able to record a short video of ten seconds (didn't test any longer).
I would stay on this rom but it has the infamous Facebook/Messenger MM Custom Rom FC which isn't a huge problem for people who don't use it. :silly:
Thanks for this Rom, I can't wait to see future updates to test out :good:
a few screenshots pls
Flashing now; I've been on Candy5 for the past few months and loved it thanks a bunch!

Are these sufficient?
Seems like a great rom except for the issue I have with all 6.0 roms and that is no cellular service.

Who is your cell provider? I thought the RIL was working for sprint as stated from a tester but that could be wrong.
I'm a Sprint customer. I was able once to play around with my cellular settings and get it to work but after a reboot I couldn't get it to work again.

I didn't see any lag when I tried this rom out and liked the look and feel of it. I had to pass on it because of an issue with cellular service.

To everyone,
Remember what the point of this site - and especially a development thread - is (hint: it's not "I can haz super cool phone"). Developers take a ROM base of some sort and spend their personal time and effort to get it working on a certain device and carrier. The job of the rest of us is to help by being beta testers and posting logs of issues so the ROM can get better. Most ROMs start out with bugs and lags initially, especially ROMs not based on stock, but they usually get figured out in time. If you can help, great; if not, run something more stable like stock (there's no shame in that), but please do not discourage developers.
Thanks,

Just wanted to add a +1 to the cellular service issue, I'm on radio 1.01.20.1225 which I believe is the one from the most recent firmware but it's certainly possible that I missed an update. When I went to cellular service in settings I got an error when it tried to search for cellular networks and at one point the settings force-closed.
Other than that the ROM seemed solid and I was looking forward to using it, data was good and connected reliably, no noticeable lag other than what you would normally expect from a fresh install.
Thanks to the dev for trying to bring us Marshmallow, hiccups are to be expected and I will be following this thread closely.

The baseband for the latest firmware reading it from your device would be "1.02.20.0922" You can find the firmware from @OMJ in the development threads here. Also I'll be uploading a Cyanogenmod 13 rom for you all to test cellular service soon.
EDIT: And here is an unofficial cm-13.0 for testing the ril, cellular data. Let me know what you find?
You can use opengapps, banks, or whatever you prefer for 6.0.
Great ROM! Running well, except for auto-rotate seems to be broken.

Don't worry about it I'll test asap and report!
EDIT: just flashed, I can confirm that mirroring works as expected!
Ehi! These aren't real bugs.. But I want to report them anyway!
-White text on light background with some contextual headers
-Old KitKat signal icon appears while switching from WiFi to 3g
-Old aosp sounds (notifications, lock/unlock, etc) instead of marshmallow default sounds
Otherwise the ROM works flawlessy and without major bugs
Thank you!

Graphite, the windows navbar is from prime
Double tap to wake up the device ??
It's kernel related feature. Try Quanta/Taurus.

GMAIL App started crashing suddenly
I installed the latest build and the GMAIL app started crashing suddenly. I flashed CandySiX-1.0-mako-UNOFFICIAL-0213 & BaNkS_Dynamic_GApps_6.x.x_1-26-16_15-04.
Tried clearing data, cache, factory reset. It didn't resolved the issue. Reporting this issue for you to check the same. I am no more with this OS now and hence will not be able to provide you any logs for that matter. Thanks.

I'm using the same build. Haven't faced any issue. You need to look in to that. May be a clean flash would solve it
I'm also interested interested in the way you are flashing the ROM and gapps

GMAIL App started crashing suddenly
Some pointers. I remember this issue started suddenly the moment after the Layers were configured. Also tried specifically below things and even they didn't help.
1. Clean flash (factory reset)
2.. Installing just GMAIL app after a clean flash without flashing the said Gapps package
3. Installing the latest version of GMAIL app, above one was one version prior to this
4. Completely removing the GMAIL app and clearing the cache using Avast Cleanup
Hope this helps!

I have the rom installed as secondary with multirom.so i dont know how to change kernel in secondary rom.is there another way to have double tap to wake???
I can see the options in settings but every time i opened it goes off when i enter the settings menu again...why the put an option if it cannot be done?
I tried both taurus and quanta kernel and when rom is starting i have wired colors at screen.like negative or inverted from normal colors...

That's why the ROM has some CAF stuff inside.. I solved flashing the CM version of the kernel.. but I don't know if it is the best option...

Man, I'm building from the Candy source. Have not changed anything in that. So all the options which are there would come as they are. This is working on other devices but not working on mako as @str3tch72 said above this is related to kernel :silly:

Did you flash the right version? I have seen such issues when you flash CM kernel on AOSP ROM and vice versa.
