I recommend emailing the app developer.
I noticed that Google Play Services updated when I installed. Did yours?

He is using a non updated app. Just install it from the play store.

Google Wallet for the HTC ONE.
-Easy fix for viper Rom
-Should work on stock rooted w/ wp . -removed Kernal
-Always save your original build.prop before modifying
Using Rom Toolbox
1. Open up build.prop editor
2. Change the following values
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
3. Save changes
4. Reboot device, install wallet and open
-wallet takes a couple minutes to initialize so be patient, it works great!
5. Restore your original build.prop
This method should work fine on stock rooted also as long as you have a kernal with /system wp removed.
Also, if you don't want Rom toolbox you can navigate to /system/build.prop and open the file in any text editor to make the changes.

Hey does this affect the camera in any kind of way? Like the face cam. I know there was an issue with the tint of the cam. It had a red tint on the evo lte when we started doing this in the beginning.

No.....once you get Google wallet initialized and working your gonna put your original build.prop back

Honestly I'm not sure where I got it. I believe that it came from Viperrom. Duce says that it wasn't added in d3rpONE (I noticed mine working while I was on d3rpONE, but I think something restored it from viperrom), and the only other ROM that I've run is Viper's.

ah i see. think you could send me the apk? seems like you probably restored your apps+system data from d3rp rom to viper, as im running viperrom too and not seeing any wallet app.
Here's the link for the working (non-modified) Wallet apk that I use, with screenshot showing it on my One.
https://www.4shared.com/download/NJgEOM_0/Wallet_16-R96-v16.apk
Just install the apk normally through a file explorer, no need to push with ADB, or do anything in recovery. I uninstalled mine and tested just to be sure.

Ok - so just to confirm (I'm a bit of a newbie) Google Wallet works on the HTC One, but you still have to root the device, yeah? Will using the DevUnlock tool from HTC work, or...?

I tried that, but when it starts up, it says that "Google Wallet is not yet available for your device or mobile network."
I'm on AT&T.
(I guess I'm in the wrong group? I had it running on my AT&T Nexus S just fine, but I really wanted to upgrade
Think rooting would help overcome the problem of being on AT&T? Not sure why it worked on my Nexus S, since it was on AT&T too... I may have bought it as an unlocked phone, originally...
Not sure if there's any difference in support between carriers. Sorry

Just get the GearManagerStub.apk file from https://www.mediafire.com/folder/id203nhlix285/Android#e7h23e12rzesi and drop it into /system/app - reboot and you should be good again.
So i installed the ps4 remote play app on the play store.
I have my ps4 connected with the PlayStation app but when I click "ps4 remote play" it gives me a pop up with "error 88001003" and I can't use remote play! Z3 users have reported that ps4 remote play is working so why is it giving me error?

Did you got all your apps installed from a previous phone? Maybe you have some utility like SuperUser downloaded to the Z3.

I've got the apk file using airdroid. I have an XT1254. Probably this is why the apk won't work on your phone. Find someone who has XT1032 and ask him to download AirDroid and you're done

Now the install process work but at the end give the message app not installed :/
( i post all in moto g forum ?)
It should be becasue I use a Droid Turbo and you use a Moto G. The easiest way to get the apk file is the AirDroid method. Check unknown sources in the settings. Download AirDroid. Open the app. Write the ip address to your PC browser. Then download the app's apk file.
You should ask a Moto G user

Does anyone have a link to a version of Google Contacts that works on an unrooted Fire? I'm running 5.1.1
I found this version but when I open it on my fire it says it isn't compatible with my device.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.contacts
Thanks in advance.
So is no one using a contact app on their fire?
I have it, but not using it. However, I have CM12.1 and another one with SlimLP.
If you have FireOS, probably are missing all the other apps/dependencies needed, which might be part of gapps. I would think...

Thanks Shabuboy,
I am running FireOS but I have gapps installed. It's odd that gmail & calendar run but not contacts. If no one comes up with a solution I may have to look at other contact apps. I hope that I can find one that syncs with Google.

Think it's more that most here are rooted and/or on third party roms, lots kept 5.0.1 too.
I've got google contacts but I'm on rooted stock and think I installed it flashing opengapps.

Google contacts definitely works on mine on stock (albeit having flashed much of mini gapps) doesn't show on play store on mine though.
There's only one version (1.1) on apkmirror for android 5.1+ the only other one is for 6+

It maybe possible to update in play store, once older version is installed.
Not positive about that though.

It doesn't appear in installed apps list on play store. Not sure if there is a newer non marshmallow one anyway though, guess it's not the sort of app that needs constant updates.
I was interested in looking for this kind of application earlier, but found that Amazon's default contact app was not so bad. If you need to use Google's, the latest version on apkmirror should be compatible.
