[Q] Hangouts has stopped notification - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Q&A, Help & Troublesh

Since updating my turbo to the ota 5.1 today, I periodically get a "unfortunately hangouts has stopped" pop up. It's odd because I have the app disabled. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I am not rooted nor have I ever rooted my turbo. Thanks in advance.

Many have reported this issue. You can go into your Settings/Apps/Hangouts and Force stop the app. I don't use Hangouts and had it disabled. Since I Force stopped it, I have not had the Notification pop up.

[Q] Why did Active Display stop working?

So I recently updated and rooted my T-Mobile Moto X to 4.4.2. Ever since, Touchless controls and active display would randomly activate themselve. In the case of active display, it would tell me what it is. So I got tired and I opened up Titanium Back up and uninstalled both apps. I reinstalled them again from the play store but the active display won't work anymore. It is enabled and I rebooted my device multiple times but nothing. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Problem with some apps

Hi!
I have a XT1097 with 4.4.4 unrooted and with lock bootloader, so basically, I haven't touched the phone.
The first thing I did was to activate ART.
There are plenty of apps that are "forcing close" randomly. Some of them are "Spotlight" from Motorola (when I download some of the clips the app force closes and I have to open it again), Safer Taxi is another app, Amazon App is another.
I'm having this problems because I have activated ART? does anybody experiencing this kind of issues?
Cheers
I have the same phone and activated ART, the only thing I found that force closed for me was I sideloaded the lollipop keyboard, everything else seems to work although I don't use the apps you listed.

[Q] Bone stock 4.4.4 force closing apps

I have a gen 1 moto x that is bone stock and force closes most apps. Yesterday it was unable to charge on all but one of my chargers. The phone is near non-functional with how regularly apps stop working. Any ideas, suggestions?
Thanks!

[Q] Hangouts keeps resetting "ring for incoming calls"

Am I the only one whose Hangouts keeps resetting the flag "Ring Hangouts for incoming phone calls"?
I normally trying to receive my Google voice calls in hangouts to save my 100 minutes. But it gets reset every once in a while.
Typically after reboot, but not 100% sure.
I have SMS integration disabled and ROM is full stock, not rooted.
Anyone seen it and has any idea of how to fix?

Any chance you guys found and answers/solutions on this issue? I've been having this issue for a while, finally getting around to researching it and I haven't found much of anything yet.
had this issue and found old hangouts on google and it works fine. will wait till new update hits with possible fix i hope.

Sluggish response apps not responding

Lately my phone is sluggish. When I open an app it is a delay of about a minute and when playing a game it constantly freezes and all apps give a pop up message of the app is not responding to wait or close the app. Is there any way to fix this?
My Moto Z3 Play started doing the same thing. I click on an app and it will take several minutes to register, all kinds of not responding messages (system ui not responding, etc). I tried a factory reset thinking it was a bad app I installed, but after the reset the phone it's still doing the same thing. My Z3 is basically unusable. The fact the phone is doing this even after a factory reset means the issue/bug is tied to a moto or google system app that's not going anywhere after the factory reset.
Edit: I even did a fresh install with a Moto stock rom via fastboot commands and the pre-installed moto and google apps are all freezing (waiting to respond error). This is definitely tied to the latest moto or google app update.
