Hi xda people .
I need some help with my Xperia Z , yesterday i flashed a Rom 5.1.1 slim official and gapps .
after the flasing was finished via phils recovery and gapps zip flashed , the phone rebooted like normal .
it was loading the apps and stuff to be ready after the first install , then the phone went burning hot and restarted ( just to be clear the phone was not connected to a usb and it was not charging ) , and after that i have no success in flasing a stock FTF with flashtool or repair with SUS.
the phone Fasboot still works / Flash Mode works / but when i flash a stock system the phone dont boot past the sony Logo , it switches on and straight after the logo i can see the screen flash 2 times and it switches off again and restarts
pressing the Vol UP and holding the power button down 20 sec have not helped also .
can some one please help me :crying:

Firstly, make sure you cool down completely your device, after that give a try to fastboot flash any rom you desired. Maybe your phone is too hot and it doesn't boot-up/work?
I got the tft flashed , pure v 3.1 lollipop 5.0 2 . But the phone works only on a charger , if i dont the phone starts boot looping , battery shows 89% , if i open camera or any other power demanding app the phone dies again , cant do a battery test phone restarts .
small update
Battery level is at 100 % ( Green Light was light in the morning ) Phone turns off after removing main charger from wall / / phone dont turn on when using regular usb2.0 cable and connected to computer , ( using usb 3.0socket with extra power ) phone turns on then .
When Phone Charge level is at 80 % phone turns off again , then i went to recovery ,battery level is shown 100 %, restart system again need to connect to wall charger again and switch on phone, after boot when when system is loaded to desktop phone show charge level 80 % and switch off again soon after that.
battery is calibrated using a app from play store ( now the phone holds the charge but still reboots when the charger is not connected ( Need to plug in the charger again to boot the phone back up to desktop.
remove cable again , after about between 3-10 mins phone is off again , try to turn it back on cant wont go past sony logo starts boot looping , connect charger again all seems good until removed again .
Battery health status is shown (good)
Flashing any other ROM or original TFT for android wont help
the issue is still there the phone dont boot to desktop unless a power cable is connected
now switched on the phone again with 100 % in the battery , wifi and other stuff switched off
made a test phone call to a friend all working fine no reboots , but why on earth the phone switches off again when it reaches below 80 %. or when i connect to a wifi or mobile network try to make a picture instant reboot if no charger is connected.
im out of ideas :silly:

hi ,,
so one day I was using my Xperia z and all of a sudden it powers off ,, tried to power it back on it goes into a bootloop , flashed a stock rom without wiping data and it worked , next morning I woke up and the problem returns , but worse .. the power button doesn't do anything , when I plug the charger in , it goes into a bootloop and I can't power it off ( by holding power and vol + until it vibrates 3 times ) , it powers off for a moment and then powers back on to a bootloop .. so the battery is continuously being drained .
and when plugged into a pc it goes to flashmode without me holding any button ( red notification light then green ) , and it still bootloops even in flashmode but it takes about 2 minuets between each boot ( doesn't bootloop when flashing a rom ) ..
I can also plug it into fastboot mode .
so now ,, I need to access the data in the internal memory . and i believe I can only achieve that by one of two ways :
1- by somehow charging the battery so I can power it on and get my data .
2- by accessing the data through fastboot or flash modes .
by the way , the device was on stock and wasn't rooted or modified . only updated over the air or pc companion .
thanks in advance
seems that an expert is needed
anyone
Charge using USB /pc. As soon as the phone bootloops, keep the volume - pressed (flash mode). in this mode, the phone charges without boot looping. I've had a phone whose IMEI and radio got wiped out during an interrupted update. Got phone recharged by this method & flashed a stock ftf for return & warranty purposes. Can't guarantee data retrieval though....

I don't need to press anything as the phone goes into flashmode once plugged in .
so it actually charges while in flashmode :victory:
My Xperia T (Sony Stock 4.3 with locked bootloader)died the other day - think it may have been battery related as my son was playing some games on it . Since it shut down it will not boot properly . When I tried to charge it - I get a red LED in top left hand corner , the SONY logo , then after a minute or two I get the phone symbol with a yellow exclamation mark . I have left phone on the mains overnight - no difference - it just loops as mentioned. If I try a repair thru PC Companion or Sony Update Services it fails to update although it does detect phone and start when I press power + volume down , I get the green LED as well . I have tried FLASHTOOL , this appears to work as I can put the phone into Flashmode , and flash the ftf file . I have tried different ftfs (4.0.4, 4.1.2,4.3)The logs says flash has completed and that the device should be disconnected and unplugged . Once I switch on , it just loops as mentioned - SONY - Yellow Exclamation . If I run SONY Update service it detects that I have latest OS - Android 4.3 installed so something is accessible . Just wondering if anyone knows how to recover to factory defaults or any other tools to recover the phone . I cannot access fastboot (power + volume up ) does not work . I also had a CWM recovery partition installed(previous ROM Miui JB for locked bootloader ) but this is no longer accessible . I have also disconnected the battery and left overnight .
Any help much appreciated
Dear Guys, please go through below, as this is not usual bootstall.

Early symptoms ( when i was running latest stock firmware, done through flashtool, xperiafirm, about 6 months back, no recoveries or any tools like xposed) the device is unlocked boot loader

4. then it started boot stall (only sony logo coming )
5. it came to present situation, after battery drain out, whenever i plugin charger, it shows sony logo and repeats (video - https://vid.me/qJro) - even i dont need to press power button
Things i have done
1. gone throug xda lot find lot of treads,
2. followed disaster recovery tread - used flash tool to flash ftf (ftf downloaded using xperiafirm, automatic unpack)
3. not working (tried again with data wipe) not working , still same old condition (data gone
4. boot into fastboot, flashed doomlords kernal, doomlord logo appears, again turn off, repeat
5. device directly goes to flash mode when plugged into system ( no need to press volume down!!)
5. i can go to fastboot mode by pressing volume up and pluggin usb.
6. as a doubt of power button physical short, i opened and remove power ,volume strip from board and checked with charger connect, still same issue, so no hardware issue)

Maybe the battery is dead or at least not functioning properly.

I even tried disconnect battery and direct power same issue,
So not a battery issue
Thanks for replying
Maybe since the battery is not functioning properly disconnecting and reconnecting won't solve the issue.
Hi Guys,
I really need your help unbrick my Xperia Z1 C902.
Here's what happened:
I tried to flash a custom rom that wasn't compatible VIA AROMA ( I had MiUi 7 custom rom ) and it is now dead. It won't boot. No sign of life. No Vibration when pressed vol up+Power . Hard reset ( via sim slot ) has no affect on the Phone. No recogniztion to USB on laptop ( tried other USB cables as well ).
I have left the phone be charged overnight assuming the flash took a toll on the battery ( it was about 30% when I flashed the phone )and in the morning there was a red LED. Assuming the battery had enougfh power I tried to turn it on, connect to Laptop, Fast boot mode, flash mode but with no luck.
Day2:
Left the phone connected to the stock charger for about 20 hours or so.
No LED lights. No vibrations. No sign of detection on the laptop.
Sony Companion will not detect my phone via fastmode as well.
This phone is out of warranty so I was hoping you can help save some bucks before I take it to the Sony centre.
I looked through XDA all day but nothing has helped me bring my phone back to life.
EDIT:
I have downloaded India Stcok ROM via Xperifirm and tried to flash it but the flashtool does not detect the phone. Fastboot and Flashmode both does not detect the phone. Strange thing is, when I plug the phone to laptop holding the Vol down button, a red LED blinks for few seconds but the fastboot does not work ( as my phone has bootloader unlocked )
ADB does not work - No devices connected.
If there is anyway I can flash or install TWRP recovery ( or any for that matter ), I have the old working MiUI rom in the external SD card.
I will owe you a beer or two and a dinner if you 're able to bring my phone back to life. Please I am desperate.

Hi.
You have flashing led that means there is some hope first press and hold hard reset button for 15-20 seconds under sim cover then realizes it. Now plug in charger and dont touch the phone before 4-5 hours. Let it charge even though red led comes on.
After that disconnect your phone and don't turn it on wait for 5 minutes.
Also do check if the flash tool drivers are properly installed (window 8 and newer needs you to disable driver signature enforcement) use flashtool version 0.9.19.0, dont know why but this version works best for me.
Flash *.108 firmware (available in xda) also do always check hash after downloading.
Now try to flash the firmware as normally we do and hope for the best. This method worked fine for me many times.
Good luck..! [emoji111]
The flashing Red LED is bringing back some really bad memories of my own Hard brick. Try what kathanpatel suggests first - holding the reset button down.
Are your symptoms identical to this?:

There is a link to a post with instructions on recovering from the hard brick. Good luck.

The red button in a sim slot won't have any effect unless your phone is connected to the charger (not computer). Connect the charger, press and hold the red button for about 10 seconds until there is vibration. Then immediately push and hold the power button for a few seconds.
