Woke up to my S6 Edge Bootlooping today. I tried flashing 2 different stock firmwares with no luck. The phone eventually starts up but has serious lag and I'm unable to use Wifi. Seems like the firmware restore isn't working. When I boot into recover I see the words "dm-verify verification failed. Need to check DRK first..."
PLEASE Help! I need my phone working for tomorrow.

Did you Odin those stock firmwares? Were you running something custom when this started happening? If so what?

My phone has had many differet roms on it(SRE, Frankin-Twiz*latest*, OC/UV Kernel, i9000 rom)
anyway, ive flashed back and forth several times between roms, after finding that i like Frankin-Twiz the most, i decided to do the Voodoo lag fix. It was running fine, then i saw that they released the OTA update for our captivate. I flashed back to FACTORY stock rom with the ODIN One Click recovery tool, and had it back to stock.
Now here is where everything goes to ****....
I clicked Check for update... it was searching, then it started to download... my connection failed with 3g(bad reception in my area) i tried to connect with wifi... and clicked check for update again... it said no update available.... so i figured "oh it may have downloaded" and clicked resume update.... the Phone said it needs to reboot, screen goes black, and NOW IT WONT EVEN TURN ON!!!! HELP!!! ive tried to reboot into download and recovery, but it WILL NOT TURN ON!!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!

Exact thing happended to me (and many others). It seems that if you cancel the download, then resume it totally bricks your phone. I'm going to leave the battery out overnight and try it in the morning before calling AT&T.
Happened to me too. Couldn't do anything with it after so I went to exchange it. The new captivate is... how do I say this. Much worse...
Won't lock onto any satellite (where my previous Captivate's GPS was great), screen looks... odd, and this update refuses to connect to the AT&T servers.
I'm actually getting pretty aggravated right now.
So my tab was running 2.2 and I wanted to switch it over to 3.0 beta. So i first started by rooting my tab with super one click. That went well and next I loaded Rom Manager. Afterwards I tried performing a backup and for some reason it didn't work. Well after that try my tablet got very very very slow. So i did a factory reset it was still very slow. I also lost all my data connections (3g, gps etc but wifi still worked)
Today I realized why tab would'nt boot into CWM so I ended up changing the Kernel all went well till I rebooted. Now my tab is stuck on the Samsung Logo when its unplugged and stuck on the charging logo with the little circle when its plugged in.
Can I fix this by using heimdall and flashing the stock rom? How do I know when its done charging?
Please help
the charging while off was a known issue for one of the CWM kernels. If you can get into download mode and use Heimdall to go back to stock you should be in good shape.
Ok so I just got in and reflashed with all the stock stuff. Now I get the battery charging level but the screen seems to be stuck at the VerizonWireless logo. I wiped the cache and data and still stuck on the VZW logo.
Thanks
K so now the tablet booted up but still my 3g doesn't work and the tab is still slow.
trying to unroot the device as well how can I? I hear the superoneclick does not completely unroot

You need to flash a stock modem. Check the modem list. Read the posts for I know that the modem on the op doesn't work but someone posted another file on the thread. It worked for me.

It just keeps on getting stuck at 100%

Did you flash the one posted in the modem thread and not original post?

You do realise that 100% is complete and you can reset the tab? If it keeps hanging after you reset from there then theres something not right with what you used or did...
Never had my gtab reset itself after flashing with Heimdall...
Hey everyone, so I just recently upgraded my Note 4 from KK to LP, but during the process, I had to flash the Baseband and modem before I flashed the LP ROM. I then flashed the ROM after I did that, and ended up with no network... I'm still able to make calls ONLY when I'm connected and close enough to the WiFi, texting is still fine I believe. So then I tried going through the process of downgrading to see if that would relieve the problem of my network issue, but it still isn't even working. Even after doing the process in reverse, flashing the baseband and modem before flashing my ROM.
I'd like to add that I did take apart my phone because my screen needed replacing, so I took apart my phone to see if I made my signal cables loose, they were, but then I popped them back in again, turned on my phone to see if that was the issue, and it still doesn't work, as well as my hardware back button doesn't work anymore so I have been using a nav bar to access my multi-window app.
I have tried flipping my signal cables, going from LP to KK, KK to LP, and reinstalling the firmware...
Edit: Whenever I factory reset in the stock recovery, I get an " Error:failed to mount /preload (no such file or directory)
Have you odin'd to stock lollipop?
You need to Odin stock firmware from Samsung, this will fix what you borked.
Then you can try again.

I've tried 2 fresh downloads of the stock firmware and it hasn't worked, but I will just download the file straight from Samsung this time to see if that could fix the problem. My new signal antennas I ordered from ebay are on the way and should arrive tomorrow. I'll then try that if this troubleshoot doesn't work because I don't have any 4gLte network at all, and it only pops up randomly and at certain areas I drive. I'm constantly moving and I could never have a stable connection, no calls, no text messages till I'm connected to the wifi:crying:
Edit #2: So I have installed new signal cables, and still not getting any 4G/LTE Network. I have constantly checked on my wires to see if it does anything to the network, but it doesn't. Still able to make calls on Wi-Fi only ): And I have used Odin to try and revert back to stock fully and no luck..
Hi guys. I am dealing with some serious problems with this Xperia Z1.
First of all my friend gave me the Z1 of some dude. That guy was modifying it - rooting, bootloader and everything - and said that NFC just stopped working. He tried so many roms and different configurations and nothing worked.
Finally he just ended up with returning to stock. And NFC still didn't work.
Then I gave it a try. Same procedure - root, unlock, custom recovery, custom roms, kernels etc.
Nothing.
I've read about renaming the usf folder to usf1 to get the NFC to work.
Nope. Phone just creates his own usf folder after reboot. I deleted that folder multiple times and it always comes back.
Finally I got to a point where I must force shutdown the phone because it just won't shutdown on its own or reboot.
Wifi stopped working on KitKat - on Lollipop the switch just hangs for about 30 seconds and then turns on.
What is also interresting I can't enter the Configuration option in service menu because it hangs and force closes.
Model is Xperia Z1 6902
Help me, please. I have no idea what to do.
Hi,
Seems something is wrong with the device wireless. Since neither the WiFi, nor the NFC is working, my S4 already showed a similar problem and was solved flashing another modem, have you tried flashing another baseband on your Xperia Z1?
All the best,

It turned out that I was flashing firmwares for a wrong model. It's not 6902 but 6903...
Fortunately I got rid of all the problems except the NFC ofcourse.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Can you give me more details about how is the NFC behaving? You press the button and it doesn't turn on? It turns on but it doesn't works? Because since the other wireless features are working I wonder if it's a hardware problem.
All the best,
~Lord

It's not possible to turn on the switch. But I don't mess with this bullcrap anymore; the guy took back his Z1. Probably it's just a hardware problem. Case closed.
Hello all. I am from the UK and recently purchased a sprint model phone. I wanted to remove handsfree activation. In order to do that i need a root. I rooted 5.1.1 with kernel SpaceX-Kernel-v0.1_N920P(official).tar and all seemed ok. Then i noticed that you could root marshmallow. I followed a tutorial on youtube and flashed two files through twrp no-verify-opt-encrypt.zip and SuperSU zip. I rebooted the phone and now i have a persistent problem. After around 15-30 seconds my phone shuts off and reboots itself. I have tried reflashing stock roms and the problem still persists. I have no idea if i have broken the phone as its usable until it shuts off . I went into the about phone section and it tells me the baseband and software versions are unknown aswell. Is there anyway to recover this?
Let the battery die completely and then it will work fine again afterwards
