High battery usage from system - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all. I've been running total x 1.3 for a while and recently I've had terrible battery. So I always knew that lollipop had bad system to battery glitches but i've never seen this before. My battery is getting drained by massive system usage by the "logd" process. Could someone help me fix this crazy usage?

Increase battery life with android

Hi!!! I've tried lot of Android versions and the onlyone that doesen't freezes is FRX07 ( System Build ) by XDAndroid but my X1 start warming up and the battery discharges quickly.
battery usage says that the phone's standby drains the most of the battery charge.
anyone nows how to increase battery life with android?
And the the battery is even displayed as full...but with winmo I can see the real level of the battery, so it isn't a problem of the battery.
Now I've tryed to install JuiceDefender and the phone is a little less hot.
(I'm sorry for my bad English )
It seems to be a problem with all android builds, from my experience with Android, the overclocking of the processors is the culprit, (733+ MHz, from stock 528MHz) coupled with some of those ROMS being run off the memory card, switched to NAND version, and the major problem is battery calibration now, trying to figure out how to fix that,

Battery drain.. kernel (android os)

Hi everyone just got myself a HTC One and I've been experiencing quite bad battery life, usually start the day on full battery around 8am and by 4-5 it's dead or near enough, this seems quite bad for me since my iPhone with a much smaller battery lasted a lot longer, so I downloaded GSam battery monitor and something called kernel (android os) is taking 30% battery usage, is this normal or some kind of bug? I took some screenshots of the battery usage so if anyone could help me out or wants to see the screenshots please let me know, thanks
I've done a factory reset and also running stock version of android updated to latest firmware

[Q] Battery charging and usage

Hi Guys,
I received my phone yesterday and from my initial review I see the following in the battery usage:
I am on Android 5.0.1, stock no root
1. The battery when charging from the turbo charger makes the phone hot at the bottom
2. There is a fluctuation in the charge being shown in the notification area. I started charging at 70% and suddenly the battery percentage dropped to 65%.
3. The battery is consumed much faster by the phone
[Q]
1. Anyone experiencing such issues?
2. Does disabling encryption facilitate a battery improvement. Some users have reported an increase in SOT in Google Plus forums when they disabled encryption.
I haven't faced any lags, neither any performance issues, the phone is super smooth and lovely.

Phone gets warm when charging. That's normal and likely due to the increased amperage with the quick charging. I've never had the random percentage drops. And my phone battery lasts a long time. Currently 75% battery and 2h 15 mins screen on time. Decrypting will help battery life just by the nature of encryption. How much though hasn't yet been shown.

[Q] Battery drain

I am confused about battery life of my moto g 2014. They promises all day battery life which I haven't got except today, but my question is on battery analysis which is still weird. It should show which app drains how much battery, but total percentage of each app doesn't match with total battery drain, so is something hidden draining my battery or what ? I attached screenshots as well. Please help.

Are you using the version that came with your phone, or are you using something custom (i.e. CyanogenMod or Resurrection Remix)? Did you see what "supposedly" is the highest percent drainer under Settings->Battery?

Based on that, the only thing that I can think of is to turn down your display brightness (even try setting to auto if you haven't already) and if your cell service is often weak/non existent, then put it in airplane mode temporarily to turn off your cell radio (which will also kill calling and texting though). It also depends on just how fast your battery is draining. How much time are you getting with it on? How quickly is it draining (percentage wise per hour for example)?

It sounds like some of that is just the software then as well. Before I unlocked the bootloader and installed CyanogenMod on mine, I used to see it drain quite a bit faster (especially during standby when the screen was off). A big part of that was being able to change the CPU clock speeds (which I lowered on mine) and adjusting it to where many apps couldn't wake up the phone anymore. When doing heavy gaming though, it's pretty much always guaranteed to drain quickly.

I'm not saying the version you are using, but the actual stock software in general. It's definitely not optimized as well for battery life as it can be in a custom ROM and the bloatware doesn't help either. Using the phone for gaming will also take a hefty toll, regardless of what you are running.

Do you mean 10% per hour of screen on time or screen off time? If you lose only 10% for an hour of screen on, you probably get 8-10 hours of screen on time per charge. I only get less than 5.

p.s. idle 22% standby 22%...no gps, no bluetooth, no notification, just a few applications...I tried, after charging to 100%, leaving the phone for some days without doing anything (no wifi, no connection, no signal) and I was surprised to read such draining as in the screenshot.
Anyone can reply and help me? What's the difference between idle and standby? The phone has a stock firmware, never rooted
