Hello,
My mother's O2X suddenly stopped working. It shows the LG logo at the beginning then freezes before the splash screen finishes. The screen remains turned on but it remains completely black. I tried booting into recovery but that didn't work either. The last ROM it ran was one of TonyP's (I don't remember which one, but most probably a Kit Kat one) and there was nothing wrong with it until - you know - stopped booting. [emoji28]
I'm guessing it needs a new recovery + ROM, but I'd love to hear from the experienced before proceeding with anything that might brick it for good.

I've been flashing my phone a whole lot and haven't felt that p990 would ever be bricked.
Have you tried the AIO Toolkit? It's (4,1,1,2)
Entering SW Update or Black Screen connection is Vol down then connect USB cable.
(Sorry if you already know this, doesn't hurt to say though right?)
Perhaps try to reinstall the drivers?

Hello!
I've got a little/big problem with my phone...
first of all im using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1748984 instead of cwm.
And yesterday i tried to flash a new ROM. First all went pretty good, but the play store was bugged. So i did a new wipe and flashed again, but ofc it was stuck in the bootanimation, so i plugged out the battery... and now all that comes up is first the LG-logo, then the teamwin logo, then it's stuck showing the temwin logo... So i can't flash a new rom, i cant get into recovery mode and when i try to use smartflash on my pc the S/W upgrade wont appear while pressing vol down + pluggin the usb cable, instead the phone is black, the lg logo appears and then it's black again, and it repeats.
Any help or suggestions would be so nice of you!
never use that recovery method, always use CWM non touch version. i think you should nvflash
Use NVflash, me same one time!
Before using rhe nvflash method, try flashing CMW to your phone again. Go to Rusty's CMW thread in the Development section and download it from there.

My htc vivid stopped turning on for a good day.... Left it there on the charger. Still didn't turn on. Then one day out of the blue I tried it and it turned on again. I'm able to get Bootloader and Recovery to work. But there is another problem too it. ((When I try and reboot my phone my screen gets stuck on htc screen)). So I try and factory reset my phone another problem occurs it says "unable to mount /emmc" something like that. And nothing else mounts. So now Im unable to factory reset and im stuck with an htc screen.. I don't know what to do..
This is quiet frustrating. Ive spent all day trying to find something that works or that can help me and ive got nothing...
Can someone help me out?
Thanks.
Im using an HTC Vivid. Previous ROM that I remember was Pac-Man JB..
It stopped working one day randomly when my phone died...
You'll need to relock your boot loader and run your carriers ruu. Then, unlock your boot loader and flash a good recovery (NOT CWM). Then reflash the ROM of your choice
Hello guys, I have a big problem with my GT-I9001,
I have installed the clockworkmod and cyanogenmod by ivendor, (Alpha 7) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2000828
If I try to start my Galaxy it stuck's on the Splashscreen where I can see the Galaxy S Plus and the Cyanogenmod logo. After a few Minutes the screen goes of but you have to take the batterie out of the Handy to start it again.
If I try to boot into recoverymode, after the samsung logo the screen goes off, and again I have to take the batterie out.
At both Situations, if i touch the menu or return button it lights up, but not off anymore. At Situation 2 after a few Minutes.
The Download mode still works but if I try to Flash, for example with a Stock Firmware, it seems to go through with no problem, but instead of rebooting it only gets a blackscreen.
When i have flashed it and I start it the Splashscreen still has the Cyanogenmod logo on it, also if i flashed it with a Stockfirmware.
Another thing is, that if i try to charge my Smartphone, the normal shown batterie is stuck too.
Some people already mentioned the BroodRom, but on the download mode appears the Sentence: MMC boot: MBR read failed, and at Booting normaly is no change.
I tried to connect with adb to the Handy while it is on that black screen. It works, but if i try to enter: recovery --wipe_data, but in the cmd it only says: "/sbin/postrecoveryboot.sh not found" and nothing changed.
So this is the List of things that don't work or i already tried. I hope you guys will find a solution. If not i want to ask what Smartphone you would buy.
Problem found
I searched the whole net and i think i found the problem, It seems to be the memory controller.
I came to this because if i pushed something onto my Handy via adb it was there only till a restart. And some communities tell me, that the problem can be solved by exchanging the memory controller. But i don't think i can do that.
Hi all,
I use CM12 from MacLaw in combination with TWRP 2.8.1.0 recovery for about 3 weeks now.
Yesterday the phone didn't respond properly, was very very slow and I basically couldn't use the phone. It felt like the CPU was at 100% all the time, so unlocking the phone, calling and so was nearly impossible. A reboot (battery removal) didn't solve it, also the pin code for the sim card came after a few minutes while usually this will come right after starting.
So eventually I did a factory reset from the menu as I did on other occasions just to get rid of this kind of problems.
Well, right after the Samsung s3 mini logo I get the TWRP logo and it will be stuck in there, I see it blinking every few seconds and that's it. When I connect the phone to USB I hear it connecting-disconnecting every few seconds (bing-bong, bong-bing sound).
After a while I flashed TWRP using Odin again, this didn't give any problem but it will still hang in this TWRP loop.
I found some references to this problem but no real solutions. Someone suggested to use ADB but I don't know how to do that, nor could I find a suitable guide on this.
Can anyone help me? Or is it bricked somehow?? I suspect not, download mode is still working.
Thanks for any help!
Yeah, I softbricked my Moto G... and flashing stock isn't fixing it.
Today my Moto G battery was at 0%, so I started charging it again, after a few minutes the phone booted up, but, after it booted, the phone started shutting down (the same way the phone shuts down when the battery is empty) and the screen turned into black (but the LCD was still on), so I just Power + Vol Down and rebooted to the system...
...however, it didn't work, it starts booting up but never boots...
"Okay then, let's flash another ROM..."
When trying to wipe, TWRP returns "I/O error"...
"Uh... ok, let's try reflashing the stock Marshmallow ROM..."
No errors, but NOTHING CHANGES, after I boot up the ROM isn't even wiped.
So now I'm stuck with a phone that does nothing...
I already tried searching but I didn't find a solution, so... can anyone help me?
Hello MrPowerGamerBR, big fan of your work (Undertale Android port).
Just replying here to say that I've faced the same problem. I plugged in my G2 to charge, still at 0%, and it booted to system but shortly powered off. Now it doesn't boot at all. Error 43 on Device Manager (Windows 10). I've searched it up and it's stupid that this eMMC "problem" was something I could have avoided, should I had known in advance that this resulted in hard bricks.
Three years. Now I'm stuck with no phone. I should have known better to wait to charge it..
