Missing Native Libraries
Hiya,
This is caused by the Snapchat APK not having the libscplugin.so and libsccrypto.so native libraries within the armeabi-v7a folder.
These are required in order for the application to sign the login requests.
I'm not sure why they haven't included them in that build, must be something to do with the Android M ABI configuration.
I extracted the libs from the APK downloaded from Google Play with Lollipop and then Android M.
The Lollipop APK has all of the required libs in armeabi-v7a folder, and does not include an x86 folder.
However, the Snapchat APK downloaded via Google Play on Android M contains an armeabi-v7a AND an x86 libs folder...
The issue here, is that in the APK for Android M, the libsccrypto.so and libscplugin.so do not exist.
This is what is causing the force crash when you press the login button.
No idea how long it will take Snapchat to fix this, but since this is a preview build of Android M, it could be an issue with Android M itself, not sending the correct device information to Google Play.
Cheers,
Liam Cottle

You kind of have to go with the expectation that some things just won't work right when running a preview
I was having the same problem, but the newest version of Snapchat (9.13.0.0) and the beta (9.13.2.0 beta) work fine on Android M Preview 2.
I have tries the latest beta. It doesn't seem to work for me. I've only been able to get 9.9.00 to work for me. What's your setup. I'm running stock preview 2.
I'm on stock m preview 2 latest beta works fine
Okay so I discovered that it won't let you log in on the latest but if you're already logged in then you can update the app and it should work.
So just download 9.9.00 and log in then update.

I did this on Preview 2 without realizing it and it worked, but then installed it from the Play Store after flashing Preview 3. I ran into the same problem on the new preview, but the same workaround solved it.
I just did a 100% fresh install of Android M-preview3, and here's the steps i took to get Snapchat working on my phone.
Downloaded Snapchat from the Play Store, v9.14.1.0
Tried to login; Force Close!
Uninstalled v9.14.1.0
Downloaded v9.9.0.0 from Apk Mirror
Installed v9.9.0.0
Tried logging into the app... Login successful!!!
Went to the Play Store and updated the app to v9.14.1.0
Ran the app... No force close!

How'd you manage to login? When I try to it says that version of Snapchat is no longer supported

I've got the same problem, looks like Snapchat doesn't support the old versions anymore, so you are forced to update the app, but when you do it you can't log in because it crashes.. You have to wait until Snapchat fixes the bug. I am going back to Lollipop, can't live without Snapchat

I am, until Snapchat publishes an update or there is another solution, but I think that this workaround was the only one..
Has anyone else discovered a fix for this?

Hi Guys,
I recently updated my LG P970 to Android 4.0.4 (rooted) and I installed Instagram from the Google Play Store however when I try and upload an image it will allow me to crop it but when it comes to selecting the filter the image doesnt show up and when I try to exit the app freezes. I done some searching but found no direct answer. I tried installing an older version of Instagram (3.4.0) however when I try to login it just tells me to update to the latest version.
Any idea on how to fix this?
Cheers!

Hi! You did not do it correctly.
Step 1: update it to the latest instagram and login using your account.
Step 2: install the apk file of 3.4.0 version of instagram (the OB will ask you if do you want to replace the file that is alrrady install, just hit ok). After the install, thr instagram should work again.

Download the apk, install it. Avoid play store, it's going pointless crap errors. As for the second part. I heard that Broadcomm released some drivers, so there is a chance, but I might be wrong, or even if I'm not, it can take quite some time to start working with them.

Hi,
Is there a workaround to get Facebook app to work on our Teclasts?
Thanks.
I had the same problem after I've updated the facebook app and messenger in 28/1 , then the apps didn't work .
I solved the problem by downloading old facebook.apk version , I went to the site http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/facebook-2/ and went back to the non Alpha version released in the middle of last November . I did the same with messenger and the apps worked again .
For the Facebook app : http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/faceboo...-apk-download/
For the Messenger app : http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/faceboo...-apk-download/
So I guess there's something wrong with the latest versions of the apps with Mirek's Rom or other Roms . I've reported the problem to the support center hoping for a fix soon .
Thanks for your reply.
Is there a option to prevent app by app automatic updates on Google Play?
Thanks.
In google play app , in the site options choose setting then you find the first option Auto update apps , press it and choose Do not auto-update apps . You can manually update the apps that you want when there's update available for it .
I think the problem happens with latest Mirek's roms because when I used the stock rom the problem didn't happen .
The facebook app also doesn't work with the latest clean stock ROM for the X98 Air III (M5C5).
The app starts but immediately closes again. Any tips?
Am having the same problem, has anyone got a fix??

Did you find a way to get Facebook to work?
Actually, I got Facebook working from the Play Store by performing a factory reset and not running the Market Helper app this time.
I suspect Market Helper does more bad than good because it's not able to emulate a tablet or phone with an x86 processor and it causes the install of the (wrong) arm version.
Got it to work like the above post, play store is downloading arm
Here is the link for working Facebook

Suddenly it started to be pending on app update or install recently for no reason. By deleting the app data, the Play Store resets its stats and it become possible to install any apps for some while until it begin pending again. Anybody has the same issue and resolved it yet? btw, I am with 7.0.20.0a or latest flyme beta.

There are some steps to follow to install playstore and google plays services correctly on chinese and betas. You can get it from flyme forumn. Search it. So do that. The issues are mostly in flyme 7.Installation error like 901 occurs. Eventhough large apps installation still got issues. Now i only download applications from playstore.
Thanks! It seems to be working correctly now. They are talking about the glitch in the android 5 codes used in it but I think we had been having no chance to do with the android 5 codes by following your guide in this forum??. Anyway I am glad to know that the google installer 4.4.6 also works with current flyme versions more correctly than the method starting from installing the flyme 6 Chinese rom.

Omg, I mistakenly thought you wrote it. And the version mentioned there is 4.4.2. So the newer 4.4.6 version is for flyme 7.:silly:
