Hey Guys
Just updated from 4.2.2 to 4.3 and now my SMS just sits on sending unless I make a phone call 1st.
Then as soon as the call connects all my SMS's send at once.
It is fine after that unless I reboot my phone, then I have to initialize it again by making a call 1st.
The APN's are all correct and the same as they were on 4.2.2.
1st time for me experiencing this, any ideas on a fix?
Cheers!

I am using Android 4.3 since it's released (few months).
I never experienced such thing yet but as long as i know and probably your firmware is messed or it was not updated correctly (maybe missing some code or binary), You have two choices...
1- Backup anyway your want and reset.
2-Backup anyway you want and flash a new firmware.
Yeah tried twice and same crap
I am rooted but running the generic international stock 4.2.2 and both times the SMS issue arises but works perfectly on 4.2.2.
Everything else is working g perfectly.
Still have root after the update.
Perhaps I should unlock the boob loader (lol) and flash a custom rom?
hello everyone i have a sprint htc one m7 running 4.4.2 sense 6...
recently I decided to factory reset the phone and after the reboot i wasnt able to get past the setup wizard because it got struck at the hands-free activation screen because i use my phone in india...
so i rooted the phone and flashed twrp recovery.. and through TWRP file manager i deleted the HTCSetupWizard.apk and HTCOmadmspcs.apk which seems to have fixed the problem....
but now after about 6 hours the phone has started shutting down automatically and after startup i get a notification from an app called "Smith"..
please suggest me a way to fix this problem.... all help appreciated... thanks in advance
I have a strange problem with my Sim unlock Moto X xt1056 (Sprint). its running Android 4.4.4. with root and bootloader unlocked. The problem is anytime i try to uninstall any app, the phone reboots. Whenever ever i try to clear data too it does the same thing. And also whenever i go to settings and try to go to the Security menu it just FC. this was happening when i was on 4.4.2 so i thought upgrading will solve the issue but it hasnt. Any help please.. thanks.. :crying:

Hi devs,
I am also having the same problem with my moto X 1058. I have tried different custom ROMS but its same. Did a Factory Reset but no use. Even wiped internal memory and data partition, but still its the same. My scenario is exactly the same as mentioned in the thread. I m running cm12.1 on my device now. It is having no other issues (so far) besides these problems.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Hello everyone! ive been running with this issue for some time and after diggin and trying i managed to turn wifi and bluetooth on everything was working perfectly in android 4.4.4 but the Motorola OTA came with lollipop and while updating as expected it couldn't finish causing the phone to hardbrick, after that i managed to save it thanks to the tutorials here in XDA but now im facing this problem with the wifi.
Hope someone can save me from this hell.
I updated my moto x4 from Oreo to pie using flash using boot loader. my boot loader is still locked and software status is official too. It still is unable to update to January security update. Please help !!
yes I have also facing same issue... i have also try by safe mode but shows something not right .... reconnecting to server... might be Moto update Services try to connect moto server which has not able to connect due some issue in server... hope so this is issue...
you can connect to moto support team let me know what they are say for this issue.
They told to reset and try again.. to do that I got to backup my data which LL take time.. so on hold as of now
Yup, same here. I got the Android 1 Google Fi model (Bootloader unlocked, unrooted). I'll try again in a week and see if it resolves itself.
And another ~ bought 2, mine showed the update 3 days before my wife's but won't start (download and install now, via wifi only and it reverts back to the settings screen). She got the notification last night and it took first try. First time I've had this issue in the 4 months I've had the phone, just glad I'm not alone here....
Since you're official/fully stock, there's not really any alternatives besides factory reset or await for full image is available to manually flash via fastboot method. You do not need to unlock long as you stick with motorola firmwares. Links in FAQs thread.
Nothing new here? Mine keeps nagging me to do the update, start it and it shows getting to 17% on step 3 of 6, then just kicks me back out to the setting screen.
This is my first android phone (from a flip), couldn't get lineageos to work with my provider (RedPocket) and have neutered as much of the google crap as possible. Right on down to disabling all permissions for Play Store. Could that be part of my issue?
It has been nagging me since last few weeks, no solution apparently
New Update:
Could actually able to fix the issue by installing a vpn and set it as a USA based server.
My phone was bought in US and I was using it elsewhere. After using an USA based IP it downloaded the update and voila.
