Hello Galaxy S6 Active owners.
I'm planning to buy S6 Active very soon, because of its great battery.
I'm expecting atlesat 6-7hrs of SOT with this smartphone, under heavy usage.
I know we wont have root / custom roms / modifications for a while, but im really curious how does the battery perform on stock rom without any modifications (for now).
Could you please share your battely life experience ? Screenshots of your S6 Active SOT / used apps under wifi / lte , etc.
Thanks in advance ^^

please i need all information about your experience of this phone ..( network - camera - speaker - how fast -...etc)
and is there any phone better than this phone cost between 280-300 $

Hello and welcome,
I am no expert but have experience on several android devices of the mid range. From Xperias to the galaxy advance and the htc hd2.
When I purchased the s3 mini I didn't expect any major difference from previous devices, well was I wrong this is definitely a fast smooth operating device with no major issues bugs or lag. Only I found missing was the ambient light sensor where you need to adjust brightness manually.
My battery also is fine lasts easily one and a half days with normal use, only thing I found eating lots of batter was wifi.
My humble opinion.
thanks ..
how many hours battery last with screen on when drain from ( 100 % to 0 % ) .. with normal use like browsing internet or send messages ?
because i read a lot of comment on websites that the battery is don't last 1 day with normal use !!!
please i need advice from many people who use this phone to know if there is any common problem that don't appear in all brand ?
i am waiting your opinion
thanks
Yes but allmost every android phone has this issue it also depends if you are using 3g, apps running in background, etc.. also there are many custom roms that are based on samsung s3 mini stock rom that has much better batery life.

Battery is really great, I'm constantly on 3g, wifi and mobile data on, chatting on whatsapp, browsing, texting, few calls, maybe a game or two for a few mins here and there and it always lasts about day and a half, maybe with sync it would last me a day or under with usage above... phone is smooth and never had any problems with it

really fast phone,no lags, smooth, no bugs until now(i have it nearly a motnh). battery lasts easily 1 1/2 days with normal use(wifi, browsing etc). nice screen, bright colors , nice pictures, very nice video reocording... overall o very good, money worth choice...
Ok I've seen many posts on battery life and I've tried numerous things but my battery seems to drain about 1% every 10 min without use. Can someone give me a decent guide for the S4 Active I537?
Running Hyperdrive rls 17.1 on rooted I537 w/ safestrap.
See attached image ... 12 days 6 hrs!
Pure stock firmware. No root/tweaks/mods. The phone was idle/standby most of the time, with occasional game play. Wifi and mobile data were off most of the time.
This is the best I have seen from an Android phone so far. I tried this on other phones and they died in max 4 days.
Anyone else experienced similar battery life on this phone or another phone?
[Mods, please move this thread if this is not in the appropriate section]
Thread started to show off and discuss the battery life we are getting on our device. I'll try to get some screen shots soon but I just got my s7 edge a few days ago. I love it! Currently I'm bone stock and with a lot of YouTube, Amazon, Web surfing, and some minimal gaming I'm getting on average over 7 hrs SOT! I'm curious to see what others are getting.
Just found this subject in the questions and answers forum. Sorry apparently my xda app or data connection is acting up not loading everything. Please close this thread.
Welcome Samsung Galaxy S9 owners!
come and share your thoughts and reviews about the device here. :good:

Hello Kabayan!
Loving it so far, great upgrade from the S7. That being said, the battery on my S7 is slightly better, probably due to the smaller display.
Running well on SoldierROM 2.1 + Xposed and Magisk.
Install Naptime + Greenify = Better battery life

From s7 to s9 is really a great upgrade, but I came from s5 and it's totally a big jump. Though, battery is almost the same with s5 (when I first got it). Camera is incredible, but when HDR is a little bit tricky, I am using the GCam port to use the HDR+ function and the photos definitely blows me away. One thing worth mentioning is the new stereo speakers with dolby atmos support! These are incredible, and now I've got to rewatch all the marvel movies so that to enjoy truly the experience with speakers. So far so good, but I don't look on rooting my phone atleast when samsung still supports this phone for software updates
@kyooo totally agree with you bro , me also im kinda craving to root this device but i think its better not to due to security patches and samsung experience update , im kinda bored on android stock i think samsung ui is improving

Yep that's what I exactly thought of. I hope though that Samsung would fix battery drain in the exynos models, it sucks hard. I would get around 4hrs of SOT with heavy usage at WQHD+ and around 6hrs of SOT with social media apps only in power saving mode with only speed limiter on. But I dont want to use the power saving feature unless Im going on a full day without charge.
I think samsung will release a patch on drain , some says it something to do with poor cpu governor , if its only a software issue i believe samsung will fix this on their next update btw i got 6-8 hours sot with aod turned off and fhd+ turned on ive also set location to battery saving not precise location ,

Yeep it's actually the governor, the person behind anandtech's website made a kernel which tuned down a little of the cpu power according to use and it turned out really well when it comes to battery life.
8 hrs is impossible to me, I only got 6hrs max with power saving mode on. Is that an s9+?
Hello, have you guys received the BRE5 update yet?
