[Q] Are there any frame type cases for the Moto X?

Spotted this on the Razer site:
http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-accessories/iphone-5-protection-frame/
I've seen iPhone frame type cases, but was wondering if any such exist for Moto X.
What you are looking for, I think, is normally called a bumper case. The only one that I know of right now for the Moto X is this one: http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/For...-Hybrid-Bumper-Case-Black-Red-MHC-XT1058-01C/

No custom back cover ?

Anyone else thinks they should have offerd diffrent back covers like the moto x. Would have love to have it with the wood look.
Nope. That is only available on the Moto X.
Nope. That adds a lot of overhead to the phone. If you want it just grab the Nexus 6 Mini.

[YouTube] Motorola Moto G 1st and 2nd generation Flip Shells compared and reviewed

Hello folks
Okay. I have had a 1st gen Moto G since March, and have - last week - bought myself the superb 2nd gen Moto G. I have had a flip shell (turquoise) on my first gen, almost since day one. Now I have the 2nd gen, I have just bought myself a "Lemon and Lime" flip shell for it. These cases are very well designed, in most respects, but there are a few discrepancies and issues between the flip shells for each generation. In the video below, I show you both models, and explain as well as I can, the strengths and weaknesses in the design of them.
I hope you find this helpful... and possibly entertaining. Thank you :
Tank you so much for this video, it was really helpfull. I'm actually a fan of the flip cover, but due to the weak magnet I don't think I'll get one fot the Moto G2..

Replacement backs

Hey everyone,
Does anyone know where to get replacement back panel for the Moto X 2014? I thought I liked the leather, but I'm not sure about it anymore. I would like to try one of the plastic ones, definitely not the wood, I've been seeing some disasters from those. Is it possible at this point without contacting Motorola and their terrible customer service?
Before you post a lmgtfy.com link, I've looked already, and I'm not sure if I don't know what I'm looking for, or what, but I found a few sites...
etradesupply, and I think even Ebay have some parts that could be a potential replacement?
Edit:
Moto XT1095, if that makes a difference.

Double sided tape holds the shell on..I have attached a YouTube link, start at about minute 3:00 and you can see the removal process..
The new panel/shells that I have purchased from the eBay link I provided, come with the double sided adhesive already applied..just pull/peel off the plastic covering and apply to device..

Dbrand for leather
Can you use the dbrand skins on the leather? I don't see the adhesive sticking, but what do I know? Lol.

Thanks for the video. I can see why the wood backs are peeling now. I'm totally not going to replace mine if I don't have to, but nice to know about the Sim tray trick.

Just received my Moto G, is a case really even needed?

Love the device, just got it today. Am I safe without a case? If it drops do I risk major damage to the device or the piece on the back that snaps on?

Yes, is better. Just a bumper. To keep it safe.

I always use TPU cases. They are not very bulky, don't attract dust/lint and they provide some bump protection. Incipio makes a nice looking one (Motorola sells this) or there are plenty of generic TPU cases out there.

I find it one of the most slippery of all the phones i've owned. When i discovered a crack in the speaker seal, moto asked me if i dropped the phone. Never dropped, don't want to use it without a case. Absolutely need a good case. I made a mistake ordering a nice looking ebay case under $4.00. Now i want to spend $10+ on a quality case.

Haha, just wait until you try the Galaxy S6.
Give a try to Moto G Premium Quality Screen Protector : Anti Glare Matte edition
Needed? Nope.
Desired since you put some cash out for a nice device and you might want to keep it in great condition since it's mainly plastic? Yep, definitely.
As for recommendations, people need to choose the cases they find most appealing and at prices they can afford so I rarely ever go that far. There are quite a few cases available because the Moto G3 is a pretty popular device - the Moto G series are Motorola's best selling phones - so you'll find something to your liking at a good price if you spend time doing the research.

Now I hear the Moto G3 might be going away since Lenovo took over.

An hour after that misquote from CES someone else from Lenovo put out a press release clarifying that the Moto line of devices is not going anywhere - it's their best selling devices so even though Lenovo has made some stupid decisions over the years (what they're doing to ThinkPads is one of them) they're not THAT stupid as to dump the most popular best-selling hardware devices in the history of their Motorola Mobility purchase.
Another stupid thing? Dropping the Motorola brand name which will happen later this year.
I use a case mostly as a safety measure, but it makes it harder to use it one-handed. :/
Always use a case. The one time I had my case off (it was my old Moto Atrix HD) I dropped it and shattered the screen. I did replace it and had fun doing it but the g3 is a bit harder. I used to use a plain gel case.
