Did you perform a full wipe? Try to re-download the roms and try flashing in on system 2

So today I decided to restart my phone and it was stuck on the white HTC screen for a good 30 mins (boot loop..)
I went into the recovery and tried to clear the cache thinking that would fix the issue.. but I get this error
E:Format_Volume: make_exf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmc/blk0p35
I have tried flashing different recovery versions onto the device and I am still having the same issue. When I tried to wipe data/factory reset i get this error
E:Format_Volume: make_exf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmc/blkop34
E:Formatting /Cache...
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmc/blk0p35
also E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log and E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
keeps appearing...
I have the boot loader unlocked and installed ClockworkMod 5.5.0.4
I never had the device rooted (well I tried but was unsuccessful and never spent more time on it) and was using the stock ROM.
I have tried installing [ROM] RumRaider BETA 11 - 2.3.7 - SENSE 3.5 in hopes of it overriding my problem but that failed too...
I have tried recreating the SD Card partition (internal) in recovery but that didn't work either
Any other ideas? All i wanted to do was perform a simple restart and my phone shot itself in the foot....
Any ideas??
I'm guessing noone knows a potential fix?? after 500 views... ><"

It would seem that your device is either not fully rooted, or you installed an earlier cooked rom, no names, that included the stock recovery & boot image. The solution is to take yor unlock.bin file & place your device in fastboot & then either manually shoot the .bin file or use it with HTC Supertool. Then Immediately flash akernel (boot.img) & then a rom.
im having the exact same problem. im going to try what gleon suggested when i get off work.

But when I trie to get a new rom, I get this error message: assert failed getprop( ro.product.device ) (I tried 3 roms)
Now I cant do anything because when I reboot the systeem it stucks at the original LG logo and when I flash a new rom I get the error.
I hope that you guys can help me?
Thank you in advance!

Don't use CWM 5.0.2.8e recovery flash something else to your phone, or you can open the zip of the rom you want to flash and remove the line from updater-script which responsible for the assertation.
Hey guys,
i just created this account because i'm really lost right now.
since 3 days i'm trying to flash a new version of cyanogenmod on my phone, but it always failed because of an TWRP error (error status 7).
it wasn't really a problem because i just flashed the working version(cm-11-20131222-Nightly-i9305) back on and everything was alright.
but now i accidentally deleted this version and the cyanogenmod site doesn't list it anymore.
i've been trying to install a new version on the phone with always the same error no matter which version i try.
after i looked it up here, i deleted the assert part in the updater-script. doesn't work either.
so i upgraded the TWRP to the current version via Odin because i read it could help.
and now it only saids:
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed.
E: Error executing updater binary in zip <PATH>
Error flashing zip <PATH>
and i can only boot into the download or recovery mode now.
i hope anybody can help me with that. i also could offer the recovery.log from TWRP if it would help.
Wrong forum, i9305 has a specific section where you're most likely to receive an answer. Report your own post and ask a moderator to move it.
Usual advice is to flash a full stock rom using odin then start over, check the md5 of any downloads.
Hello
I received a notice to install the new KitKat on my rooted HTC one with TWRP 2.7.0.0
"OTA_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTC_Europe_4.19.401.11-3.62.401.1_release_356395e7z2lsr0msqontmw.zip" 3XX,XX MB
When I tried to install the update from the recovery it tells me that no MD5 file was found
then
E:Signature Verification failed :1
and update is aborted ...
How can I solve this problem ?
Should I save a backup before starting solving ?
Will I lose my files ?
And thanks by the way

There are many threads to do with this subject already.
You need stock recovery to install OTA. Find the one that is for your existing OS and flash it. Redownload the ota and it should install. If you have made any mods to your existing rom, that can also prevent the ota from installing properly.
Any yes I would make a nandroid first!
Ah that's all I needed !
this word key : Stock Recovery !
Thanks a lot my problem is solved and I'm eating the Kitkat now thanks
I had to "FIX Fastboot for win 8.1 x64"
Then "S-OFF my phone with hboot 1.55"
Then Flash the recovery with "Stock Recovery signed"
Last but not least,My kitkat is awesome !
Solved
when I try flashing a custom rom it gives me an error saying "failed to mount '/system' (invalid argument). please help me as I have no OS installed on my device my device is the Huawei P9 (eva-l09). tbh im about to cry .

I guess you still can go to twrp right? Download official rom, put into dload folder. Flash with 3 button method. Hope it's work. If you don't understand about custom rom, why try to install it? Official rom is already good enough
