instal stock rom ..
The phone should boot ok if you remove the sd card or take away the extra partition you made on it.
To get foldermount to work ok i think you need to install the fixed recovery, not sure wich one it was though.

Just install fresh stock from or else repair using Sony's pc companion.

install latest recovery buy NUT and flash reboot fix

install latest recovery buy NUT and flash reboot fix zip through recovery mode
Only way to recover Bootloop is repair via Sony PC COmpanion or install ROM using flashtool.
I have run through this issue in past, and was able to recover using PC companion.
Related
Formatted /system, /data, /cache and reboot. Thats why stuck at sony ericsson logo. xRecovery doesnt work.
Tried SEUS: Latest already.
PcCompanion: No update.
Any FlashTool can i use to flash it?
You can find everything here:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12442257
But why did u format system??Never do it again.
(In the system there are the os,and the recovery's files.if u delete these, dont wonder if your phone doesnt boot)
Sent from my X8 using XDA Premium App
heheh you shouldnt delete the /system
try this with this rom (2.1.1.A.0.6 Nordic firmware with latest SE kernel and baseband)
if i restore a rom, it doesnt format previous rom, so some system files are unreplaced.
so i format it. after that i have to restore a rom, but i was trying to restore a zip but failed, on curiosity i reboot and see. xD
Solved, use flashtool to install 1.6 and update with seus to 2.1. then root and install xrecovery, load modded rom.
Who told you that restoring doesnt deletes the previous rom? It does!

no one told. i experienced it myself.
i added some files in /system, after i restore my backup, system files remain unreplaced. so format it and everything is new.
I had similar experience with my X8, also formated system.
But it's not a problem to fix with SEUS.
After getting message that my Software is latest, I just click on INSTALL at the bottom left part of SEUS window.
And then I have to follow instructions.... and original Eclair will be installed!
/System/ is a virus as system32 at windows ;+)

i need some help
I tried to change my Gingerbread from V28 to V25 as I was told on the forum that it would run better. They recommended that I install CWM. I ran the installation and hit the restart but the phone wont start up. It must have been the wrong version for Xperia X8. Although it did say it was for all Xperia phones.
My Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 phone is stuck at the Sony Ericsson screen and I cannot get to Xrecovery let alone start up my Gingerbread.
What can I do now ? Running any software on the PC is no good as it says there is nothing plugged in.
I have made a copy of my SDCARD but how can I get it working again ?
@zhuzhang
I dont wanna be an enemy but you were here for sometime and complains a lot. I know you can figure out by your own.
@aindriu
That version dont use xrec anymore its cwm to avoid errors.
Bro, please don't revive dead threads.. ask your problem in a new thread.

Just for Re-read purposes, if anybody else has this problem I have created an easy guide to restore your x8 back to its original state
HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840124
Remember you must be on stock kernel and baseband.
Open Seus
Don't connect your phone.
Select repair phone.
Select your phone from the list.
Seus will download a software for your phone.
After that take out your battery nd insert it again. Don't power up your phone.
Connect USB to PC then press back button on your phone nd connect USB on your phone wait till seus finds your phone.
It will install the software.
Hurrrrraayyyy...
Press thanks if I helped you.

Did you backup your previous ROM? If not then you could flash other ROM or fix with PCC, SUES or flashtool.

I am sorry, but I don't really understand you. I mean... Y U installed several recoveries? I mean, "PrimeHD90NA" is only working with custom kernel, if I am right (nAa kernel and Alfs kernel). So you just need to flash a kernel (whichever you want from the compatible ones) with flashtool and you got the recovery you need to install the rom you want. . . Maybe I missed the case a littlebit.
Hi,
I am using Xperia SP, C5302, with Android version: 4.3 and Firmware: 12.1.A.205. I want to install CyanogenMod 11 in my mobile.
Going though different tips and tricks, I was able to root my phone, as well as unlock the bootloader. However, I'm unable to install a custom recovery. It is advised everywhere not to proceed with installing any custom ROM without installing custom recovery.
Currently not able to install CWM recovery in my phone. Also when I tried to boot my phone into recovery, it is not working. Is it because there are no custom recovery installed?
If anyone can tell me how to install the custom recovery in my system, will be very helpful. I've tried installing ROM Manager from Play Store, but it is unable to recognize my device. Also Quick Boot app from Play Store is not able to boot into recovery mode. Also tried using Flashtool and fastboot, not working either. :crying:
Right now, I'm not able to proceed with installing CM11 ROM in my Xperia because I'm afraid I will not be able to boot into recovery mode and hence will not be able to complete the installation and ultimately end up with a bricked phone.
Any help will be greatly appreciated..!!

Thanks deathviper. Followed the instructions and got it installed. Also completed installing CM11 ROM in my Xperia. The link was very helpful. I also followed this link: http://www.teamandroid.com/2014/03/...11-xperia-sp-c5302-c5303-kitkat-custom-rom/2/ to install CM11 ROM in my Xperia SP.
Thanks again..!!

I've allways thought that a locked bootloader would break your boot to a non-stock kernel. I think I read it from doomlord.
Now I wonder if it only blocks fastboot...
Recently I saw a post about CM10.2 working on locked devices... Now you're saying the same, maybe it started working lately somehow...
Though... Sure you saw that work?
I'm about to relock my device and take my chances, should get to it
Update: You may not want to test something for the first time... This one is tested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649923
It's a much longer way. To start with you must get root and CWM recovery on 4.1.2, only to get ROOT on 4.3.

can some one help me in assessing that ( is my phone rooted properly),
however king root grants are successful.

u have to replace the provided su of kingroot into chainfire's SuperSU.
And how can this be done?
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Forums Pro.
flash SuperSU from recovery, it should delete kingroot and install SuperSU on it and then restart, open the app and then update binary normal way.

for your Z1 use Nut's dual recovery, its the best and easy to install and there is lots of instructions available ! you can get the package from nut's website, (http://nut.xperia-files.com/ click XZDualRecovery -> 2.8.20 -> take Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.8.20-RELEASE.installer.zip NOT flashable and download it...
installing SuperSU delete the one you have, you need flashable version wich can be located here https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
then just put it to your sd card and reboot to recovery, from recovery select install zip from sd card, select that supersu file you just put in there and install it, then just reboot and done.
Thank u soo much Migidid bro.....I followed the said procedure and successfully installed dual recivery and supersu, Thanks alot once again, i wanna donate..............love andorid...love sony
Just press thanks button and we're cool
Soft Bricked with same problem
i have the same problem, but after i restarted i am stuck in boot loop. please help me what should i do now?
Nevermind - used Flashtool and flashed fw.
Hi!
I have a Sony Xperia SP, and it was buggi and slow so i wanted to install cm12. After installing it said that i installed successfully bot the phone never booted again, so i reinstalled the custom sony rom. Something went wrong during reinstalling, and it aborted. Now the phone is stuck in a bootloop. At startup the sony logo appears, than the phone reboots. I think it's hardly bricked because:
-The phone is in bootloop.
-I cannot access recovery mode, because during rom reinstalling i lost my root privilege.
-Sony pc companion does not recognize my phone.
-When i try to flash the stock kernel on the phone, with flashtool (phone connected in flash mode), the phone always disconnects at Dumping TA partition 2.
-Cannot connect the phone in fastboot mode (not working with the right gutton combination).
-No software recognize my phone, just flashtool.
-ADB drivers didn"t work.
I tried everithing on win10, win7 and ubuntu 14.04 that i coud find on the internet.
Should i throw it down from a cliff, of you guys have any idea?
Try to flash your phone via flashtool v0.9.8.16
I can't beacuse flashing always aborts, as i wrote.
have you tried flashtool-0.9.18.6
New flashtool versions are different than old ones and do not work well at all, at least for me not
Good luck
---------- Post added at 09:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:28 PM ----------
Be sure to install drivers first and even test the flashmode before flashing anything if flashtool, to be sure that windows will not start to search windows update for drivers.
Oh GOD THANK YOU!!
It worked with flashtool 0.9.08.6 and now its working again.

Hi
You have to download towel root, to root 4.3, and install supersu to grant access. Then you have to install CWM. You can find instructions for that if your search how to root sony xperia sp. If your bootloader can be unlocked you can download and install the zip from cm site. If you can not unlock bootloader, you have to download and install something like ****UNOFFICIAL-lbhuashan.zip and thats gonna work. Cm11 and 12 works well on my device.
Good luck
