I'd like to know if there are other updates than those on Asus webpage. Last update I got is from 01/11/15 and it was android 4.4.2.
And what is the difference between ME70C and ME176C (or others which got lollipop)? Any safe root methods?

Currently i am runningEMUI 3.1 using the B851 rom (android 5.1.1). I would like to root my device. Last time i used Kingoroot, which had some problems (caused a lot of crashes, couldn't do factory reset). Anyone else knows about a good method/app to root my device?
Any news with this? Im looking for the same solution.

is there any way to install xposed on asus memo pad 7 lte ( lollipop 5.1 )
I cant use TWRP because no custom recovery for memo pad 7
I try to use flashfire but it did'nt work
I'm a newbie here, so please forgive me if I'm asking anything out of line. But I'm looking for a version of Nougat that will work on my memo pad 7. Does one actually exist, and if so, where can I find it?

There is an unofficial build of LineageOS 14.1 (based on Android 7.1.2) available for the MeMO Pad 7 me176c(x).
But it's an experimental alpha preview build so there are a couple of things that doesn't work (for now).
It's also your responsibility if things goes wrong during the installation or by using this ROM.

Is it possible to get Lineage 14.1 on an Asus Memo Pad K10A? I have one, it's upgraded OTA to Lollipop (5.01), but all the advise I've seen is for other models, and I'd prefer not bricking mine.
There does not seem to be an official TWRP for this device, and the directions for the unofficial one are another version. I'm pretty sure my bootloader is locked, though I think I can get root on it.
Oh, and for those who have switched to Lineage on the Memo Pad, how is your tablet running? Thanks!
I have a friend who wants to install an app that only works on android 5.0 (or lower) don't ask me why. So he bought 2 Fire 7 9th devices and asked me if I know how to downgrade to android 5.0 so he can be able to install his app. So, do you guys know a good tutorial teaching how to do it?

The stock rom is on 7.1.2 and you can't downgrade it to 5.0.0 and you may need to add the max API level to 25 which is nougat
