Changelog:
---------------------------------------
F.A.Q:
-------------------------------
kbzona said:
*** UNOFFICIAL TWRP port for use only with LG Optimus One phones ***
Introduction:
---------------------
TeamWin Recovery Project, or twrp for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features that we deemed missing from current recoveries. After a lot of hard work for weeks, we are happy to announce the release of twrp in anticipation of unrEVOked & AlphaRev's revolutionary release.
Key Features:
---------------------
- Clean, simple, intuitive Menu System
- Ability to save custom recovery settings
º Default partitions to back up
º Default zip folder location
º Default color theme (lots to choose from) (Thanks to ffolkes!)
º Default Time Zone (for more accurate time stamps; US time zones only for now)
º Zip Verification
- Ability to select which individual partitions to backup, and restore.
- Ability to choose compression or no compression backups.
º Compression takes longer of course, but you save roughly half the space. EVO3D's stock system uncompressed is ~800mb, 380mb compressed. You choose.
- Ability to auto reboot after successful flashes (for the lazy)
º Home - Main Menu
º Menu - Advanced Menu
º Back - Up a Menu Level
º Search - Select Current Selection
- Battery Level and Timestamp
Known Issues:
---------------------
- None so far!!!
Disclaimer:
---------------------
As usual, use at your own risk. TeamWin is not responsible for anything bad that may occur from using twrp. We do however take responsible for the awesomeness that comes with it. Don't be a d3rp and use twrp for bad. With great power, comes great responsibility.
Special Shout Outs:
---------------------
- TeamWin
º Assassinslament
º toastcfh - for his under appreciated dedication to the community.
º agrabren - for his leading the way to freedom for numerous devices with fre3vo.
º Dees_Troy, joeykrim, shift, vividboarder, onicrom, netarchy, kevank, myndwire, bigbiff, dkelle4, shinzul, spiicytuna, eyeballer, OtisFeelgood.
- Amon_RA - for his great Recovery for which we gained a lot of inspiration from.
- Koush - for his dedication to the community and ClockworkMod.
- unrEVOked for their great work and dedication to the community.
- AlphaRev for their great work and dedication to the community.

Looks pretty good on a quick test. Nothing missing, except for the SD partitioning. The key bindings are much more logical, though it takes a while to get used to. Menu sorting much better.
Thorough testing later, maybe tonight.

I think this should be implemented in the recovery.. SDPART. Read the first post for sdpart, the cool thing about it is that you can partition the sdcard without loosing any data.

[MOD]Dual-Boot Roms[New ROM Added][OxygenRC3, PCF v5, more coming after weekend...]

Hi, I'm making a dualboot mod for our poor GT540 So we can change ROM with one click.
Now I'm able to boot from second os from sdcard. Now i have to optimize some things(e.g. installing rom from zip, installing update zips from recovery, ...)
Installing;
1) Creating Partitions;
Open up a partition manager then delete all of your partitions then create new 3. First partition will be fat for sdcard data music, picture etc. Second will be ext2 and will be used for /data partition and third one is for /system partition.
Video tutorial:
2) Download ROM from below(more roms will be added soon!) and place it in your sdcard.
3) Install it like usual rom installing...
ROMS:
Utopia v1:http://d-h.st/bw2
SDSL v2:http://d-h.st/XjS
Wupload deleted the other roms I'll try to upload all of them...
ZIPs:
Gapps:http://d-h.st/HKV
LG_Ime_Keyboard:http://www.wupload.com/file/2629890007/lg_imedual.zip
Credits:
Thank you nutterbg!(For giving me the idea of mounting.)
Thank you Pcfighter!(For making that great rom!)
Thank you Mikegapinski!
Thank you DevSwift!
Thank you Miroslav!
P.S:I think second OS is booting faster but im not sure. I will test it later.
It would seem it fails to provide a shell. Maybe searches for it in the new location, and it's not there? Make sure it's accessible in both places. Otherwise maybe try to mount system so it can use the shell, and then try to remount the new one from sdcard. I don't know...
I moved my all system files to the new partition so there is /system/bin/sh. I'm gonna try the mount the original then the sdcard one now.
Edit:
I did and now i get "- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: I/O error (5) -" what should cause to this?
Edit 2:
Now i can get shell. But not going then. I have to work out...
Ok i made it Now i can boot as normal. I can use it normal. But installing script must be changed. When installing a rom with recovery you must change a line. So this is not ready to use
If Windows mobile can dualboot android using Haret, I believe Android can do something similiar Keep up the good work guy
This looks great man, but this will be able to make a dual boot with a windows rom?

You seriously want Windows on our amazing smartphones? Oh, God forbid!
Really cool work Lotus! Keep it up!
BTW Does the phone feel slugish and laggy when using /data monuted on sd card or its normal?
@tminh, @ptbmr Now it only support android if someone make a kernel, system for winmo i will support too
@darko94 No its not laggy and i guess it boots faster with sdcard partitions but im not sure i have to try with same apps same things...
Sound cool, can not wait to you relise this mod.
Sent using Tt.
I did a test second os from sdcard booted in 1 minute the normal rom booted in 1:30 minutes. So the second os is a little bit faster Now im gonna try to make it boot with pressing vol up key to boot second os I hope i can do that
I need someone knows how to edit bootloader. Who knows? I dont know how to do...

Problems with data, 2G or 3G ?
You can try:
Disable your sim security before flash the ROM
Battery Life
Right now, our goal is to resolve all the bugs present in the rom, and then improve the rom, includes battery, performance, etc, but the battery is not bad
Camera
This is the most talked about issue...It is the main BUG we want to solve this rom, is not easy, but we are doing our best. Please be patient.
If you have any suggestion or solution, please share with us by PM, posting on the official rom thread or in our blog
Sod´s and random reboots ?
SOD = ScreenOfDeath or SleepOfDeath, where you cant wake up the phone again and have to pull the battery.
You can try:
1. Fix premissions.
It is a known bug, which happens more often in CM9 and CM7, we do not have an exact solution for this, but we will try to fix this bug.
Fortunately, rarely happens, and not with all.
FC´s (Force closes´s)
Is this normal state of the Rom, is under development, fortunately these FC's also not very common and not interefere almost nothing in the use of the phone.
How to use Supercharger Script:
1- Install BusyBox
2- Install Terminal emulator
3- Downlad supercharger and push to SDcard
4- Acess terminal emulator and write:
Code:
su
cd /sdcard
sh v6super.sh
5- Choose the options that you want
OR:
4a- Script manager from google play
5a- Open SM
6a- Choose the file that you have download before
7a- Check "Run as root"
8a- Choose the optins that you want
More comming
*Reserved*
For recovery mode ..
download adb ..
browse the dir. in cmd then
type: "adb reboot recovery"
Done!

some bugs
Hey, first i want to give a big thanks to the FOP team for making ICS available on OB, thanks so much guys! keep up the good work!
I have installed this room yesterday after lots of thinking and i have encountered 2 bugs..
1. The app 'Talk' always crashes, i can't open it, each time i try to open it it crashes. i do get notifications when i receive a gtalk message.
2. i can't turn on WiFi tethering, it freezes and never turns on.
Thanks for any help!
Greetings to the FOP Team,
First of all I would like to thank you for releasing a great rom. You have done a commendable job. i downloaded the FOP CM9 Nightly 6 yesterday and ever since then I have become a proud user of ICS 4.0.4. My Galaxy Note just upgraded officially to 4.0.3 but without rooting any android is just like an 18 yr old virgin!!!!:good: I am in love with the interface and especially the super sleek lockscreen. I liked the Trebuchet launcher as well but i ended up installing nova Launcher Prime. My first reaction was...... WOW!!!!! I understand the following concerns in the rom which are there but ironically do not affect me:-
Camera- I never use it as I have the Galaxy Note alternative
Searching for GPS:- I can live without using it
One very important aspect that I love about an Android is the ability to tether. Using CM 7.2.0 i used to WIFI Tether my phone's internet but unfortunately this property is unavailable with the current nightly, but I was extremely overjoyed to find out that tethering through Bluetooth is working. Infact i am using the Bluetooth tethering to post this message.
Finally, I would like to say thanks to the FOP team and to keep up the good work, I am sure that in the near future we will not only get a working CM 9 stable, but also infact a Jellybean CM 10 Nightly.
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lot of SOD
First of all, I want to thanks a lot all the FOP team for their fantastic work.
ICS is pretty fast, and there's really few issue for me. I use AutoKiller Memory for better ram usage, and it's working pretty well.
There's only one thing very annoying, I've got a LOT of SleepOfDeath, and the only solution for me in that case is removing the battery. It uses to happen ~3-4 time a day. I don't know why, but I hadn't that problem with nightly 2 (the previous version of FOP I used). Waiting for nightly 7, maybe it will solve that
Anyway, great job !

Wow, this was the main reason i wanted to flash another rom on it.. Now the only big thing that remains is the camera, but they're already on that.
I want to give a bug thanks to the devs for this ROM, even though it's only in a beta stage it's still amazing how fast and smooth everything works.. I haven't even flashed supercharger on it! Great job so far devs!
i think this guide is very helpfull to provide a better experience with FOP rom and FOP based roms.
Because contacts is chrashing when going in to dialpad.
Use this
Tried and it's working.
Hope it works for you :fingers-crossed:

It is the recovery.img outputted by cm-10.1 build
So, if you have a shared boot/recovery kernel, it will work only on cm-10.1 ROMs until someone repacks it for stock ROMs
If you have a dedicated recovery partition, you can flash without much trouble, in theory...
But, I am not responsible of any damage. This is mainly for devs or advanced users knowing what I am talking about
Consider it as really early preview until it is better tested.
@[NUT] compiled open source version and all was working he said. So, I do not expect big issues

Happy to see you back @shoey63
You did a huge debugging and contributed a lot to make this project last, when it started timidly a year ago
What you can do is:
fastboot flash it or in cwm if possible
Boot into recovery. Give me a feedback and then flash back your kernel for your daily ROM
But don't kill me if your XperiaZ dies
All good Phil:thumbup: Just need touch working

Re-packed As reported, touch does not work.
I'll see what else is not working.
Also, the Aroma File Manager needs an additional zip no?
EDIT: Looks like the touch is registered. I get a haptic feedback when I tap anywhere on the screen. But just can't use it.

Great it boots and works
Maybe touch needs extra kernel enablers or echo to some /sys/.../touch path
Unless the device has flipped x/y axis. In that case, touch events should register but not considered most of the time
If screen reacts to touch under some parts/scrolls, it is second case, else first

Seems like the first case. It does not react except for the haptic feedback. However, when I open the log in the advanced menu and it prompts to press any key to continue, touching the screen registers as a key press and it returns to the previous menu.
EDIT: I could upload TWRP recovery which has touch working if that would help.

XZDualRecovery 2.7.10 BETA contains your PhilZ Touch Recovery. It (not very surprisingly) has the touch screen bug described as above by others. This version is now working fine on locked bootloader devices, except the bugs of course

Thank you a lot (out of my :good: today)
I will look at touch later
Le me know about any other bugs
Meanwhile, can someone repack with twrp recovery kernel and ramdisk files (init, *.rc and files in root) to see if it fixes touch
That's to be sure it is not a kernel issue not having touch enabled

Ok, I replaced the init, *.rc files and same problem. No touch response. Anything else I need to replace from TWRP?

[GUIDE] How to install s7/n7 port roms on note 4 SM-N910S/L/K

I recently bought a note 4 and it turned out to be a n910s. There arent many 910s devs around so i decided to look around on how to boot these roms on our device. These are my findings and i present it as a guide so that other n910s users can benefit from this too.
All credits go to the original devs of the roms/kernels
I will not be responsible for a bricked or broken devices
These are the same exact steps thats i did, if you follow them in that particular manner youll have a new rom on your device in no time
HOW TO INSTALL S7 ROM ON N910S
To my knowledge the only s7 rom that boots up on the n910s is the DN5 rom. Here are the steps to do so
1.Download DN5 rom from the E-Team website http://electron-team.com/sm-n910c-2/
2.Download the latest firmware for the n910s from sammobile https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910S/
3.Extract the downloaded firmware file two times until you get the modem,boot,cache... files
4.Open downloaded DN5 rom (Default opens with Winrar)
5.Drag the boot.img file from the samsung official firmware and add and replace it in "eteam" folder of DN5
6. Do the same for the modem.bin (You'll have to flash bootloader manually)
7. Copy the modified DN5 folder to your devices internal storage or external sd card.
8. Flash rom, manually flash bootloader through odin and it'll boot
ENJOY THE FLAVORS OF THE S7
It takes about 10-15 minutes to boot
To save battery on the s7 rom use Grennify and Force Doze
Unfortunately there is no script to debloat s7 roms automatically. You'll have to manually download a system app remover from the play store grant root access and then uninstall or disable system apps.
ALSO ON THE N910S WHEN YOU GO TO MAKE A CALL THERE IS A STATIC NOISE (THIS HAPPENS ON BOTH THE S7 AND N7 ROMS) TO FIX THIS FLASH THE FILE BELOW IN RECOVERY all credits go to @tanthuychivietnam on making this fix
https://mega.nz/#!ohUmHJJL!FQB-6Ejt4KmmdICNfgbXPQ7CqBzE5xIGGqW8XQ06Qgg
HOW TO INSTALL N7 ROM ON N910S
To my knowledge every N7 port rom i've tried to boot up with this method has worked and this the easiest method out of the 2
1.Download your N7 port rom of choice
2.Download prime kernel. If you dont have prime kernel send an email to [email protected] and an automated email will give you the links to the kernel
3.move kernel and rom to internal storage/external sd card
4. flash rom and then kernel
5. DONT REEBOT, flash latest modem and bootloader and youre done
YOUR N4 IS NOW A N7*YAY**RIP N7*
Battery drain is quite significant on all N7 ports because samsung didnt update the software any further *we all know why* and also there maybe heating issues. If anyone does have a heating problem just delete system/bin/debug_interface_proxy Of course this differs from user to user depending on their usage and their preference of the rom
There is a debloat script available for debloating the N7 ill link it down below. credits go to @Near_07 on making this excellent script
DEBLOAT ALL N7 ROMS - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69891651&postcount=8829
To save battery on N7 roms use Greenify and force Doze as mentioned above and also go to Samsung under "Accounts" and disable all sync This is the main reason your phone stays awake even while the screen if off and it drains a lot of battery. Also try disabling "Enable Fast Charging" under the battery section, this too might help
In my opinion PIROBOT v6 is the best and most stable n7 port for the n910s right now, again this is my opinion and it may differ from user to user
These are the steps i followed to get DN5 S7 and any N7 rom to boot up on the N910s. Hope these steps can help you guys too. If it did all i ask for is a thanks, don't worry its free
If i forgot to credit any devs for their amazing work or if you want any edits drop me a pm and ill add/edit your name/work
Finally this is none of my work, just a guide, shoutout to all those amazing devs out there who make all this happen

Thank you for your help. My phone is n916k , a korean note 4 like yours. I flashed dn7 rom on it and it's working well except for the lockscreen security, pin, pattern and password don't work on mine , I don't know why, in can input the password, pin or pattern on lockscreen security setting but when I want to unlock the phone, none of them work. Fortunately i only have to flash Dr. ketan lockscreen security bypass v1.1 to delete the lockscreen security And get back my phone working without reflash the all rom. And about the heating problem, I don't have it anymore. A nice guy told me to delete system/bin/debug_interface_proxy and it worked, up to now no heating anymore.
If you have a fix for this lockscreen problem, please could you share with us. Thanks

I didnt experience any of the lock screen problems when i flashed dn7. Thanks for the heads up on the heating problem ill look into it. Have you tried using a third party lockscreen app. If not i suggest you switch roms. DN7 is not that good with the prime kernel. Im on pirobot v6 which is also a note 7 port and i get excellent battery life with the kernel plus there are no lockscreen issues either

Hi @vishudha98, I flashed pirobot rom v6 for n910c on my n916k, up to now everything is working fine, no heating, no laggy, deep sleep very good too. Only Samsung keyboard fcs, do you know if there is a fix for that ? On google plus I found 3 fixs and flashed them but they didn't solve Samsung keyboard problem. Actually I use another keyboard, it's working well but if possible I would like to have Samsung keyboard working.
Anyway thank you so much for pointing me to use this wonderful rom, I really like it. And by the way, the link on the OP for call noise fix for n910s doesn't work, please do you know if there is a call noise fix for n916k inside this file?
Thank you

Of course I did. I also checked the zip file and found that for each device inside system/etc there is only one file libsec-ril.so and I think that's not enough to fix call noise problem because I found another fix, darklord fix and it's the same as truongtan's fix and both don't work on my device. I also looked inside Dr. Ketan's fix call Noise for note 5 Korean and inside lib there are more than one file. Maybe only libsec-ril.so isn't enough.
Anyway thanks for all.
