Good evening everybody,
Since a few days my Z1 with stock 5.0.2 rooted/unlocked, the Facebook icon doesnt show the badge count anymore,
My wife has an LG G3 (unrooted) and it has the same issue, we also have a Galaxy Tab 4 and a S5 and they still show the badge.
All devices use the same version of the Facebook app.
Does anyone know why and can someone tell me how to fix it?
I liked the badge because i could easily see that there was an notification.

I noticed the same issue with my Z1 !
Is the new Fb update responsible for for it ?
I think so, but on Samsung devices it still works.
After the update from FB problem solved.

I purchased my gear yesterday and after finding and instaling the gear manager via samsung's app store I am happy to report that the only 2 things i don't have working at the moment is Svoice... seems to be a bug telling me to accept a disclaimer on the s4 itself but I have already done it and am using Svoice. Two is Notifications of txts and some others... got google now notifications to come thru but most others won't push to the watch. Contacts list... Phone dialer and speakerphone call log and apps work GREAT!!
Thanks guys.. now lets get this thing rooted and fix these two problems cuz id love notifications... a custom rom and my google now to replace the svoice please... Im willing to donate NOW. lol I really want handcent notifications and a way to respond by voice to a handcent txt on the watch..
People look at me like I'm :cyclops: but I could'nt care less cuz I'm walking around looking like Capt Kirk on his communicator.

Working on GS3 too
Bought the gear today, hoping it will show the time at least until 4.3 update is out for gs3 in December, but happy to report that it's working with the gear manager downloaded from the Samsung store. Also notifications aren't working, same message for S Voice as above, can't download new apps and weather isn't syncing - everything else is working great! Call quality is surprisingly good, camera fun... really happy Samsung customer here
With the recent release of the MJ7 update for the S4 have either of you seen any issues fixed with notifications?

Recently switched from GS4 4.4.2 to Note 3 now running 4.4.2
There is a check mark in the stock calendar settings that when checked displays AccuWeather graphics in the month view (i.e. sun, clouds, rain, etc) on a day to day basis.
This worked on my GS4 but not on my new Note 3.
Any help on a setting change elsewhere on the phone or a workaround to enable this feature would be appreciated.

This is another feature that worked fine on 4.3 and which no longer works for me on 4.4.2. I too would be grateful if anyone knows how to reverse this unfortunate reversal--there are too many valuable functions lost in KitKat and not enough benefit to warrant the supposed "upgrade."
Mine works.
This is what I did.
Open calender, open settings, check AccuWeather, close settings, close calendar, allow GPS to find location and close itself, close calendar in recent apps, open calender again and it should work.
Thanks for the suggestion--it still doesn't work for me. Any other thoughts?

Sorry but I have nothing else for you. Mine still works. Even after a hard reset it works just like it should. If you are running anything but a stock ROM then perhaps try the thread for that ROM. Good luck.
Hello guys, i got myself a Huwaei P7 a couple of months ago and i am facing a problem since then which i cannot solve.
I recieve regular message and call notifications just fine but i rarely get any app notifications (sometimes i recieve a notification after like an hour and only if i'm inside the app) like FB, whatsapp, Sport24 app etc etc. I have tried factory resseting my phone, giving all the proper permissions to the app s, downloaded push notifications fixer but nothing worked. If you guys have any insight on how to solve this i'm all ears (or eyes in this case)
my phone is not rooted or anything and the curreent version number is P7-L10V100R001C00B609. I also use nova launcher if it is of any importance.

Hello Internets, new poster here.
After many hours of trawling through the internet and coming up short I thought I'd register here and see if I can't get to the bottom of my issue. I have a Galaxy S6, and a friend is lending me his Galaxy Gear original as he doesn't have much use for it anymore (switched to a Nokia running Windows). It's been fun to have and play around with, apart from one small problem; no notifications aside from SMS'. None whatsoever. I've gone through the gear manager and ticked every box for every notification setting and still I get nothing apart from texts and calls. Does anyone know why this is and how I should go about fixing it? I'm aware that it's an older device, but I see no reason why I should have these problems, its a watch DESIGNED for Galaxy Smartphones.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
I should also mention that my phone is running Android 5.1.1 and the Gear is running V700XXUBNC1.
Coincidentally, I might put this forward, am I better off trying to flash Tizen? I've seen a couple videos on it, and it seems far far better than the Android software.

I have a Galaxy j5 device (also a 5.1.1) and was also wondering if it will work with my gear1, did it work for you on your S6 ? Did you stay on android or switched to tizen, and which gear manager did you use, the one in the Galaxy App Store ?

I still don't get notifications for anything but SMS, but it "functions" with me S6 fine I suppose. I've kept everything stock android so far, and the gear manager I'm using came pre-installed on the S6.
On my J5 I can download the latest Galaxy Gear app from the Galaxy store and it works but don't know if it will pair with gear 1, will be getting it next week, for sure the google play Galaxy gear app only supports the s2 and doesn't work on 5.1.1.
Also if I remember well for notifications to work on 5.1.1 the is an option in settings that needs to be flipped.

I have the original gear working on my note 3. It has a null rom. I just purchased a note 5 and will not connect. Any suggestions?

I've noticed that ever since the last official OneUI updare for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 I get two options for opening facebook links that point to the same app. Is this safe or is my phone hacked/insecure? Android security patch level is July 2019.

humm maybe something having to do with dual messenger or something?
i dont use facebook but check that menu none the less.
Hi man, that was a good suggestion, I had no idea what Dual Messenger is, but after some digging I know now that it's used to access different accounts for some apps that would normally use just one login. Unfortunately it's off for both facebook and (facebook) messenger. So there might be something else, also the name of the app itself is the same.

maybe 1 old preloaded Facebook from stock and another from an other source(sideload or from an store like aptoide). just go to system /apps and delete/disable/uninstall it). if you see 2 then theres ure issue. uninstall both and get a fresh copy off of playstore. then check if it is still there 2x in ure choices when u open a link. if yes then i suspect you might have some other app maybe faking it? idunno...
i have the same issues. as we know that facebook came pre installed in our phone, so my guess is that one is the pre installed version and one is the version that got updated in playstore. this issue needs to be addressed by the samsung. hopefully in next update.
