Google Cardboard VR kit - One (M8) Accessories

I bought a cheap v1 kit from eBay and I like it but been thinking if it's worth it to buy a 15 dollar kit made from plastic and that comes with a Bluetooth controller.*
Anyone tried those?
Cheers

I've got one of those black plastic from aliexpress. The overall feel of it was good, except for the plastic smell that lingered for quite awhile. I have a bluetooth mouse as well as the bt controller. It's kinda difficult to control. Or maybe it's just me.

I ordered a BoboVR Z3 yesterday for 17$+2$ shipping from gearbest. (It has good reviews on /r/GoogleCardboard and seen as best sub-50$ plastic headset) Will let you guys know about it when it arrives.

I got the BB8 Star Wars one and I really like it, but I'm wondering what apps/games am I missing out on for Cardboard?

Reccomend a powered car mount, speakers would be nice

I'm looking for a mount for the car for my mogul. I would prefer one that is powered, but I can always run my own power cord.
Ideally I'd like a mount with the built in speakers for gps etc..
I'm thinking about this one from iTrek and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it?
http://www.semsons.com/ipocrmowiins18.html
This one from seido looks nice since it allows the keyboard to slide out, but its $120, most other mounts are like $20-50whats with seidos pricing?
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=881
Don't forget that you'll have to buy a pedestal to go with the iTrek.
I've been thinking about getting this...
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=881
I was thinking about that same one but $120 seems kind of expensive. I've looked all over and can't seem to find it any cheaper. I also noticed that other seido car kits are about $40-80
even with the pedestal the itrek is much cheaper. the pedestal is only $8-10 so $40 total, theyre on sale for 29.99 plus say 10 for the mount. still way cheaper.
i think Seidio's are WAY overpriced like Proclip. $100+ for some plastic, no thanks

I just bought the itrek and it should be here early next week. Thanks for the links, everyone. I'll let you know what it's like once I have a chance to test it.
let us know if it has a mic and audio jack
Remember
I bought the Seidio for My 6700 back last year and paid 120 but I forgot I was using the tight plastic cover, and would not fit, I never used It. I used the windshield mount and put velco on it to hold it up for my GPS.
So I am just saying consider all your assy. when pick out a car mount. I winded up with a $120 windshield mount..
Feed me peanuts and call me Dumbo.

Arm band for running w/mytouch

It seems like there are a lot of good apps out there for exercise and what not. But it seems like that is going to be difficult if I carry it lose in my pocket.
Fitness Kit
Tmobile is coming out with a fitness kit for the sapphire..... comes with arm band, waist band and a bottle i believe.......
yeah, any idea When that is coming out?

I just saw an armband for the mytouch at a Tmobile, but it was still behind the counter, so I think it's almost here.
I'm also waiting for it. I've been running with the phone in my pocket, but I get scared that it might get jostled to death.
they have armbands at walmart for ipods, I use it for biking. the phone fits perfectly with it and I can still use the touch screen also. its in the fitness section and its about $8.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu6aPYICvPw
wait and see what Tmo got
I have just ordered
iGadgitz Neoprene Gym Jogging Armband for Apple iPod Classic 80gb,
120gb & 160gb
Will post my findings, it got good ratings though.
Compared to ipod the Magic is like 10mm higher, 20mm thinner and not much slimmer. I THINK. Erm
EDIT: fits in well enough, feels secure, I like! I feel the need to mention Buddy runner here, awesome app.
t-mobile price tag $40.00, no thanks !

They charge a lot for just about every accessory...
The rep at one of the t-mo stores here gave me the white charger and red gel for the price of the kit with the black charger and black gel...but I didn't get the mug included. Oh well, my wife got what she wanted for $10 less than I paid for them individually.
The store did not have the fitness kit. Wonder if they'll start selling the arm band separately. $5 arm band + $5 belt + $30 water bottle...lol.
There is a solution right now. I've used it for months on my Dream, but now that it's gone to that great cellphone store in the sky (phone died while flashing new rom) , I plan on using it for the Magic.
It all involves a case made by a company called Krusell. They make very high quality leather cases for both the magic and the dream . On the back is a mount that allows you to use your phone for running, bicycling, in your car, or just clip it in your pocket securely without the ugly clips that other companies use.
All of this is purchasable through Amazon.
Here is the link for the case for the Dream
http://www.amazon.com/Krusell-75431...12?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1256415764&sr=1-112
and here is the link for the sports pack
http://www.amazon.com/Krusell-Multi..._1_1?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1256416577&sr=1-1
Now I'm willing to bet with a little bit of creative effort (and some superglue) you could pick up a less expensive case , and just scavenge the mount off the back of it. (for example the blackberry pearl case uses the same mount, but its 1/2 the price off of Amazon.)
had pretty good experience with this armband
http://www.staples.com/Griffin-Streamline-Sport-Armband-for-iPod/product_792628?cmArea=SEARCH
It has some flaws: back is not insulated so I had to wear it over my sleeve, a little hard to operate through thick front skin. But in general it's inexpensive, fits pretty well and does it job
I bought this Tunebelt. It is for the iPod Touch but fits the Magic like a glove. There is a hole in the bottom for headphone connector and you can control your touch when running.
I also use Cardio Trainer from the market and it is great.
SAMBO, Do you still like the iGadgetz armband?
Any new good Arm Band?
Or
Is Tune Belt AB5 worth the extra 7 £ compared to iGadgitz Neoprene?
amazon.co.uk/iGadgitz-Neoprene-Jogging-Armband-Classic/dp/B000WBDD56/ref=dp_cp_ob_ce_title_0

I have one question about the Igadgitz. Is it possible to connect your headphones i the center-bottom, where the usb is placed on an Magic? I cant find at picture that confirms this possibillity
I use this one for some months now and I am totally happy with it:
iarmbands.com/LARGE-ARM-Universal-fit-Arm-Band-uab-010.htm
You can connect your headphones through a hole at the bottom but I prefer a stereo bluetooth handsfree. I bought this one from ebay:
dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.8422
Definitely it isn't the best around but it is very handy when running because you can easily pause/skip tracks/adjust volume.

List your Recommended HD2 Accessories

So I've decided to make one thread for All HD2 Accessories.
The idea is for users to list or suggest some of the best accessories you've owned and used during your time with your HTC and give a brief recommendation.
Car chargers, cases, screen protectors etc.
If an existing thread of this nature already exists - I apologize, my intention was not to create another needless one.
Please just simply re-direct me to it by the link of the preexisting one and close off this one - No hard feelings...
I think it's a better idea for a thread than the stickied film protector that sucks.
Anyway, my recommendation is the Otterbox Defender Case

Same. I'm pretty tall so the size doesn't bother me at all. If I were tiny then I could imagine the extra weight might be annoying, but I enjoy having the ability to clip it quickly to the holster. I'm also now really fast at removing it from the case in order to get to the microSD card to load up android builds directly to the card.
PS3 Controller, better and cheaper then most bluetooth pads.
In car holder, I use a cheap chinese one works fine.
THB bury bluetooth connection / HUD, good in car, read your messages/call lists/make calls/contacts ect.
here is my suggestion...
I got the first Hard Gel-case that was available and did not quite like it because it was not really perfect fit. Than at one occasion I've read I think here at XDA a post that was pointing towards this case (pics attached along with ebay item number) that was really good good fit for tmobile US HD2s ... and - ordered, and have it since... the best fit so far and serves me well.
ebay item number is: 330485183615
Hi,
Would you kind forumers give me some good suggestions on possible physical keyboard accessories that fits the HTC HD2 on an Android ROM?
I have been looking at a few and am still looking. I bought an old Freedom Pro Keyboard and found it a bit unstable to use (keys not registering certain presses). So please recommend what you are using if possible. Thank you!
My phone never leaves it's £3.99 Wallet home!
I'm already on my second one (I decided to replace it after six months as it was getting tatty, and at this price I can't complain). What's great is that it serves my need as a wallet, keeps all my valuables together, adds little bulk to the device (in the sense that it's also your wallet ), and my phone looks as good as new despite my occasional clumsy droppage. Definitely a must-have for me.
While on eBay I just saw a smarter one for £9,99 which I'm a little tempted by...
My DREAM accessory would be a genuine, larger-capacity, same physical-size battery, ah but we can only dream...
So after watching a couple reviews, I'm liking the otterbox defender case and I'm giving it some consideration... Just thought I drop a line, see if any feedback is given on this (positive or negative)
1. mugen 2600 mAh extended battery (must have...GET ONE !!!)
2. skull candy ear buds nice and loud for 13 bucks on sale!
3. 2 16gb's + 1 8gb for music
4. zagg screen protector
5. when not using the extended battery i use a thin rubberized 1 piece hard case mine is actually navy blue not black
Otterbox Defender..a must have for my work. very tough but makes the screen a little less sensitive, a small price to pay for good protection, i wish it was a little more dust and waterproof though.
HTC Oem flip case simple, cheap and works well
Desk Genie Non-Slip Charging Desk Stand..brilliant love this stand, again cheap but works well, bought this for my TP2 and still using it
Vikuiti (TM) DQC-160 best screen protector ive ever used, easy to install, would buy another if ever i needed to but 6 months and so far i dont!
Andida "1600" battery, so cheap i dont care if its 1200, good enough for a spare.
Motorola HT820 Bluetooth headphones...Old school but work flawlessly
IO Play bluetooth music streaming car kit...got mine for £60, pairs first time evertime, good voice quality and full A2DP, which is more than ive heard said for more expensive alternatives of the feathery kind!
HTC Car holder i got free with my TP2..tight but just fits
If i didnt really need to use the Defender everyday, I would have bought and extended battery, probably the offical one, but hey...
I'm looking for a soft rubber case like the case I have for my i900 Omnia.
I've just ordered an HD2 and I find this sort of case is ideal for satnav because I change cars a lot and I can plug the charger in and the phone lies flat on top of the dash without sliding off.
I haven't got the time or space to carry a proper cradle, but this works just fine.
It's made of soft, stretchy rubber a bit like the inner tube out of a tyre, with some texturing on the back which helps it grip - does anyone know what I am trying to describe?
my pocket.
^ What he said + Vikuiti (TM) screen protector.
I know I'm going to regret asking this but who or what is "my pocket" apart from the bleeding obvious?
Music Bluetooth headset
My recommendation is Bluetooth music headset ''MW600'' from Sony ericsson.
Its also been called or well it is a officially accesiore for the Sony ericsson Aino.
Cant remember and find the exact typenumber that the MW600 have for the Aino, so its has 2 type numbers.

1. OtterBox Defender (built in screen protector removed as below far better) £30
2. Vikuiti™ screen protector ADQC27 (Same as DQC160, but now anti-reflective too) £10
3. A couple of cheap spare batteries (never had problems with them myself) £3ea
4. Mains USB/Battery charger (replaces the HTC one and adds spare battery charging functionality) £3
5. Retractable Mini-USB cable (great for travelling when combined with above) £2
6. Komputerbay MicroSDHC 16GB Class 6 £30
7. PS3 Controller to work with FPSECE (PS1 Emulator) via CobaltContoller £30
£115 of accessories... blimey... it adds up!

S-line case, protector, iphone earphones

I have D415, ordered S-line case on ebay. It doesn't fit right, slightly smaller than my phone. I wonder if its a defect or made for 405/410 models? Cutouts don't align properly and the case doesn't fit. I like the case. Its cheap and grippy. The screen protector that was included with it is not perfect edge to edge but it fits ok. Ordered another protector from a different seller and its the same fit. Looking for seller recommendations for good-fitting edge-to-edge screen protector and s-line case.
forgot to mention got my hands on the original ipod/iphone earpods. mic works great with this phone. I use it to record phone conversations on landline. For some reason the same earpods don't work with s3. Also earpod buttons can control some 3rd party camera apps. Something i discovered recently after playing with bt remotes.
Is the LG Optimus L90 D415 bigger than the D405/410? I just bought a case and it seems to be too small for my phone.

same here. The seller i bought from says its not for 415 and 405/410 are different. Seller has a picture of what looks like 415 but 415 is not listed. Ordered from another seller that has 405/510/415 listed. That seller says they are the same. No separate option to order for different modes. 16 days after ordering received ebay notification my item has shipped. it'll be another month before i know if this case is the right one, if i ever receive it.

the first case that doesn't fit bought on ebay - seller hksanho. waiting for the second case from seller buyeasy-uk2. will post when/if it arrives. s-line tpu case.
Just in case nobody knows this, if you get some headphones, earbuds, or IEMs that are designed to work with Samsung Galaxy devices (since the Galaxy S2, iirc) they'll work perfectly with LG devices like the G2, G3, L90, L9, Tribute, and so on.
I have a pair of Koss Steel earbuds that I "transplanted" to a Samsung cord w/remote about 2 years ago, plugged them into my G2 a few weeks back and was happily surprised they functioned as expected: Play/Pause/Next works as it should and the Volume buttons work properly as well.
No additional software required... just wanted to toss that out there so other people know if they don't already. You can get Samsung Galaxy earbuds on eBay for like $10 or less these days, the cord quality is excellent and very difficult to get knotted up because of the way it's designed and the particular materials it's made of make it pretty much knot-resistant too. I keep mine in a pocket in my shorts most of the time, take 'em out and they're ready to go in seconds without having to fight to untangle 'em.
Just an FYI for folks with LG devices.

I will no longer order cases for this phone on ebay. S-LINE case from two different sellers did not fit D415. Its smaller than the phone. Sellers either don't know what their suppliers sell or play the "i refund you leave 5 start positive feedback" game selling defective crap. Very annoying. Always buy cheap cases on ebay, never had a problem before.
I hope someone can find a case online that fits and post the link.

The case I bought from cellphonecases.com fit. I didn't think that it fit at first. I thought that I had to make it fit in the case by pressing hard. Someone showed me that I had to pull off the rubber casing and then pull apart the plastic pieces, which go on the front and back of the phone. Then put the rubber casing back on and it worked.
Where can i buy original lg g2 earphones for small amount of money?
on aliexpress or ebay or amazon. there is cheapper than in any other store

Super Cheap $2 Galaxy Buds Live case

Figure with the trade in promos most folks opted to get a pair of the Galaxy Buds Live.
I needed a case but didn't want to spend too much so looked around on Ali Express and Wish and found some for $2-$3.
Anyways, video HERE of the one I got in.
Sticks great to the plastic case and doesn't lift off. I like it didn't require adhesive, charging port is still accessible and wireless charging works.
