Quick question about charger - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I've just ordered my 3rd battery for my S3 mini as other two got very swolen and phone starts to power off at 40%. Can someone please tell me the output power (in mA) of the original charger as I've lost mine and been using chargers of other phones (heard that using incorrect amps can damage battery).

it's about 500 to 600mA

5.0V - 0.7A (700mA)

And I bought a new battery, because the stock one became weak after a year of use.

What if I use a 2A Car Charger ?

Dear Friends,
I have a car charger @2A for my old Galaxy TAB and dont wanna waste money if it is usable for GNote... Can i use it for my note or can it harm to my usb port?
Thanks in advance...
Kind Regards,
For recommendations I think you should change the charger to 1A one. But using the 2A one still possible, quicker charging time, shorter batt life and hotter while charging!
Use at your risk!

[Q] USB 2.0 battery charger?

Do any of you use the older style charger to charge your note 3's? I just thought id see if it works and it does work to charge the phone just fine but I was wondering if there's any side affects to using the older style charger.
yesterday mine charged fully in 2 hours with the phone charger (USB 3.0) and later drained to 2% then overnight using note 2 charger (USB2.0) after ~6 hrs it was 87%.
Both are 2 amps btw.
so there seems to be a difference.. maybe someone can answer why?
I am not rooted and looking at Battery monitor widget, it charges about 35% in an hour vs 12% on note 2 charger.
Mine seem to charge at the same rate with either charger. I'm not using the stock note 2 cable though, its a 10ft usb2.0 I bought off amazon and its supposed to charge the phone faster they claim
This should answer your questions about usb 2.0 vs 3.0 charging.

You need to use a micro USB 3 cable or you'll never see the two amps the stock charger can do. I've tried this with a random micro USB 3 cable and an Asus prime charger.

Slow charging, even discharging

I don't have the iriginal charger, so I use a 1amper charger I used on my Sensation. The charger of the One seems to be the same, so why does my phone charge so slow? For the first time today I played a game and the battery discharges while the charger us plugged in. Maybe the input is limited, cause the phone knows it's not the original charger? Please help

Any app to perform a charger test?

I got too many USB cables and chargers, just trying avoid the the slower one. I downloaded a couple popular app from play store but couldn't find a good one, anyone got a suggestion? Thanks

Battery monitor widget. It's free and shows the current charge in mAh and graphic. Note that the phone charges faster when on low battery and than slows down. Anything over 900 mAh is a good charger

So the +370 is the charger right? Just wondering because all my Chargers is about the same thanks

[Q] Charger EP800 5v 850mA, is it harmful for battery in Z?

Hello, I have Xperia Z C6603 and I have charger EP800 5v 850mA (original one EP880 is broken).
My question is, is it harmful for battery in the phone to charge it with 850mA instead 1500mA which is in EP880 (the original one).
thanks
You should be fine. It will just take longer to charge.
Our device can be charged by connecting it to a USB port on a computer and they only supply 500mA (USB 2.0) or 900mA (USB 3.0) and that doesn't harm the battery.
