I was wondering if anyone was inrested in getting a thread together to start a bounty to try to get our AT&T Note 3 rooted.I'm in for 25.
I am in for 20. I had the original Evo and I remember how it was locked but the developers found a way.

We definitely are, but are expressing a desire for root.
I am thinking of returning my At&t note 3 , However I would like to know if the possibility of the At&t note 3 bootloader being unlocked is really hopefull?
I don't know about the bootloader but I know one of my main reasons of me possibly returning it was that I did not have root to remove all of the unwanted garbage. But now that I have root I'm not too worried about the bootloader

wow thanks for the fast response! Yes I see, could you possibly give me a guide of what is good to uninstall after root? and if I need a special program to remove the bloatware? thanks!
I personally use titanium backup and I freeze a lot of the apps... Mostly Samsung and all att let me see if I can make a list of ones I removed. I know I may have to put some Samsung apps back if I get the galaxy gear. But I actually thought about returning it as well then when I saw the root come out, I did the root and it was perfect. And now I love it. Have you found the root for it?

yes I understand there is a root de la vega, but I am waiting for the developer to post the new root method so I dont have to downgrade. I will try titanium backup app once I root.:good:

Maybe they should make it an optional install, because I know I'll never need it.

hmm that's a bold statement Samsung should be more humble or they might end up with there foot in there mouth so to speak the group off ppl that find exploits for a hobby are not ones to be temped! most major companies have learned the hard way. I just hope that's not how this plays out...at the same time... I hope Samsung sees the benefits of playing nice with developer's

I'm less worried about knox than I am about how vulnerable Basebands are to outside manipulation, eavesdropping etc. Seems to me that if a criminal enterprise wanted to be super successful they would exploit all phones vs exploiting only one brand.

Does this open the possibility of rooting without tripping Knox or perhaps removing the Knox bootloade?

I got one for Christmas and am kinda disappointed so far. Got it connected but the functionality sucks without all of Samsung's bloatware. Lack of weather no camera uploads no extra apps. Whatnot.
I'm not sure if I want to ROM the watch it give it the full android feel. Plus I love gear managers watch faces.
Is there way I can give the full functionality on 4.4? I'm even willing to download a little bit of bloat.
I just found a ROM that really works for me and it makes me sad to have to lose it.
Please help. I need some direction!
Got one from my wife for Christmas... Haven't really had any time to set it up... Any pointers? (I will read the forums a little later)

I'm loving mine, had it 4~5 days. I'm not sure I want to run null. #1, my eyes are too old to make it worthwhile, xda or g+ on that screen...really?
So while I'm not opposed to rooting and I'm amazed with what Fomey has done with null, can you give me a good reason for null? I'm looking for a good reason, lol.

what do you like about touchwiz? everyone use their gear differently, but i really hated these black and white icons, and you couldn't change how many icons at the same time are displayed.. so if you want to go to voice memos for example, you had to swipe so many pages just to get to that app. i can't stand that. to this day, there is only one custom rom by fomey (bless you). i wouldn't even consider keeping the gear if not the custom ROM. samsung ****ed up big (not the first and not the last time).
As for the face and font colors, I'm sure Samsung will update it with more colors in customization in the future.
Adding more color plates....it is a piece of cake from the technical point of view! :silly:
I got mine a week early and have been loving it since I got it. I think more would get it, if it cost less. It is a very cool and useful watch.
I was browsing and found this article... not sure how reliable the source is but has anyone else heard about this? If so has anyone tried it out yet? I'm guessing we somehow use Kies to install it...

Yeah, I saw there was another thread in the Gear 2 forums (they should probably combine them!). They said the same thing about it being international or something. I read one post saying they installed it with Odin, not sure if that was true but I will just hold off installing it.
Thanks!

I have no issues here in US. I flashed the Greek firmware in Odin and all is well through a normal day of usage and apps install as usual via Samsung Apps. I'm about to try reverting just for shiggles and see how that goes, for no reason other than curiosity.

Ditto... somehow no one has posted anything about what this build has to offer. I find that sort of strange.
I honestly haven't noticed anything much. I did notice that the occasional artifacts left behind by a previous screen when scrolling through my apps seem to have stopped. Other than that no visible changes to me.

Hi guys, there's a new official BTU firmware available via ota. Change log lists s health improvement plus ui improvement. Will test and report anything extraordinary. Personally I'm hoping the pedometer learns to count steps and the heart rate sensor to stop jumping from 70 to 140 in a few seconds.
