Hello community.I have this cell that came with T-mobile android 4.3.I flash it to 4.4 stock firmware and then to 5.1.1 10.7.A.0.222 through OTA.The thing is that every time i put a sim on it the phone detect the new sim card and reboot after it boot up it shows like there is no sim in it i noticed too that the option "network operators" in "mobile networks settings" is missing. right now i have no clue of what could it be.I don't think that is hardware related problem because the phone recognize when the sim is plugged in or out, i try sims from At&t and lycamobile .Any idea? anyone in the same situation? thanks for read

Hi,
I recently installed CM11 (final official snapshot) to my stock rom slot (I had it on rom slot 1 before, but changed to stock because it is a lot faster). Everything seems to work, but the SIM is not recognized anymore. Calls, SMS and Data (2G and 3G, since I am in Europe, 4G does not work anyways) work fine.
The lockscreen says "No SIM Card, Emergency calls only" (or something like this, I am translating this). The signal strength is always reported as 0% or -120 dBm, even though the signal is fine.
When I go to Phone Status, it tells me that my phone number, MIN, PRL-Version and Serial Number are unknown.
Network Cell Info Lite tells me that "SIM Status" is unknown and that it can't read any info from the SIM, but connectivity is fine.
On the old installation everything was fine.
I tried all the usual things (rebooting, reinserting the SIM, ...)
Does anyone know what could be the cause?
Edit: SMS is not working. And a factory reset did not help.

you installed over the stock rom on the stock slot instead of another slot am I correct. Also witch version of ss are you using.
Ok, I finally had some time to test a bit more. I am using Safestrap 3.75. The problem also exists if I install the ROM (tested with the newest two official snapshots) to a clean regular ROM-slot (I used slot 2). It does not exist, when I load the old installation that I have on slot 1, which is based on some old version from mid-2014. So it does not seem to have anything to do with the slot or the phone. I will be trying other versions.

this usually happens when you change a rom and sometimes do mess with your modem files . try flashing then in fastboot
Unlocked N920P get "invalid card" error, NV says "Only SPR SIM allow"
I have a SM-N920P unlocked and refurbished to SM-N920F, and it's originally on LP(OI6 maybe?)
when I install official MM PC3 rom, I have to recover efs and radio partitions backed up at "N920F" in order to get network signal.(different IMEI)
Some days before, "Phone Info" app updated with some Service Mode feature, after I played with some functions,
and I got the "invalid card" after I reboot, and no carrier signal at all.
when I checked NV status in service mode it says
"Only SPR SIM allowed"
because it's been a while, I have no idea what changes are made, after Googled, I found a similiar victim here

Can somebody helps, plz~~

Flash stock rom then Insert sim then Dial ##786# and press yes then reboot.
After reboot wait for 60 seconds Hopefully you will get network.

Dial *#0011# and see if it shows "imei certi" either PASS or NG
If it snows PASS then everything ok if it shows NG then yoir EFS partition got corrupted. During flashing custom rom.
