Cortana for Android Beta - ONE Themes and Apps

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4PACBShYExcbjdtUlVPTWRUX1E/view?pli=1

I take no credit, just something I found. It works mostly.

Not voice activated, otherwise neat.

Why re-host it on Drive? Could have just sent people to the official download link.

Cortana is OK, but I still won't change Google Now for it.

I paid for tapatalk just a while back. But when I try to get it now they want me to pay again.. I paid for this one that comes up when I put tapatalk inn the playstore right now. I had it just days ago before I did the update. But here's the response from them. Pathetic. What would you guys do?

I had to buy it again too with the new update. Idk why they did that, was really Pissed but had to have it.

Looked the reviews in play store, this app is doing a self-destruction update ...
Sent from my Nocturnal Google Edition CDMA 5.0 using Tapatalk 4
Yep the old one is free (classic whatever that is)
But I have paid for the old one and tapatalk 4 and now they are both gone wtf?
It didn't do that to me. I purchased it a long time ago and was able to install it just now. I'd be passed to.

I just had an update notification that Tapatalk needed my permission to update itself. So I let it. Now my old Tapatalk 2 is gone and I'm stuck with the ****ty new version that's slow as hell. Might as well go back to the xda app

Yep the paid version of Tapatalk is now free.
Oh well, I have ad-away so it doesn't matter to me.

Yes but did you pay for tapatalk?
The one you have installed now is the free one..
Sent from my device with tapatalk who I feel is a dirty underhanded greedy ripoff software company that keeps asking for money for the same product. I'm not paying a third time (tapatalk, tapatalk 4) for tapatalk pro
I don't use taptalk I hate that app I tried it once and it sucks

Yes I did. A long time ago. So now I'm also using the free on as well? That's a bunch of crap.

Money hungry.
Here is a better explanation: http://m.androidcentral.com/tapatalk-now-free-hd-version-renamed-pro-additional-features
I bought it when they had the 99 cent sale to roll out the new one with Holo UI. I'd heard enough about it I just bought it to try it. Now I have the HD Version in my App pool, so I'm good here.
I still don't use it though. I appreciate the easy access to some things like "participated" and "subscribed" but maybe I'm doing it wrong... or not on enough forums that it supports. For the light forum use I do, and since it doesn't cover them all, I'm still just using my mobile browser.

[Q] Can I play movies from my phone?

I just bought the Chromecast assuming I could also play movies/TV shows I have saved phone.
Is there any way I can do this?
I would also include home movies and/or photos I want to share.
Not at the moment.

You can put the video on your computer, then open the video with chrome browser and cast. I haven't tried this yet, and I hear it's not great quality.

I thought I saw someone that was working on doing this. There was an apk also, but it seems to have expired.

[mod][tutorial] add your own apps to spilt window

I used root explorer for this the pics pretty much say it all
Go to system/etc and open up with text editor the com.lge.splitwindow.default.apps.xml
Now look for the google apps it will say gms
Now you need to know the packagename of the app you want to add has you can see in the pic I added my cache app and facebook. My app packagename is com.DFUSE.gflexcachewiper.com,but for this you need to leave off the .com. Save and the reboot
Then BOOM added your apps
Brilliant mate. I think tomorrow is going to be an XML reading day to see if what else we can add to the q-shiz.
Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
Awesome! There's also a line in build.prop about adding all apps type multi window set to false. I changed to true and made several other changes and got a boorloop...do not sure if it worked or not. Haven't tried yet again because dont have time for a loop this weekend

If you scroll down on the xml file you will find this:
Code:
<!-- 3rd Party -->
thats maybe a better place to add 3rd party apps also you find there outcomment apps like facebook. Simple remove "<!--" at the beginning!and "-->" at the end.
For all who forget to make a backup (special at the autosplit config):
Btw don't use Mi File Explorer for editing.

No I haven't, but I'm kind of holding off until the recovery is available. I'm tired of lgflash tool and now it's an even bigger pain to restore to stock thanks to LG

They upgraded the lgflash took so it tracks your info and won't restore it. You now have to spoof it to a server on your computer telling the tool that your already upgrade. So you've got to edit host files and set up local server. Not a huge deal, but definitely more if a pain and I did not realize it my last brick so my phone was dead for a day until I looked at the new instructions in the guide and was able to get to my development computer with time to fix it

Post what App you use to browse XDA

Currently I'm using xda premium , but I'm not sure if it is the best way . Anyone have experience with forum apps and could possibly direct me to a better one . Seems like the premium app gets updated less then the free version. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks

XDA premium
Tapatalk here as well. Word of warning though, the ui on it has really gone downhill on it lately; super clunky and convoluted.
Xda premium is just tapatalk that only does xda. The name is even com.quoord.tapatalkxdapre.activity
Xda premium only updates after tapatalk does. Thats why xda free and premium update intervals varry.
So i would say if you dont like one, you wont like the other any better
I really used to like Tapatalk until the recent up change and am on the lookout for a suitable replacement as well
Went back to the XDA premium app. Tapatalk has turned into an absolute mess.

Chrome Beta
I also have the XDA Premium app, but I find it very uncomfortable to use and basically I can never get where I want with it.
Chrome
Mixture of modified Tapatalk 4.9.5 (Wont update to latest Tapatalk mess) Browser and XDA one Alpha
Chrome is the best solution for me...
Definitely worth checking out the new in house developed XDA app called XDA One. See the following link:

Chrome because Tapatalk is an awful app.
aosp browser only. its fully featured, and very easy to use via the browser. apps are only partially featured(especially for posting)
Tapatalk 4.9.3 here... The latest updates to Tapatalk I just can't do. I've tried a few times and nope!
TBO Clear Tapatalk is where I'll stay.

Main browser issue for me is the latest theme hogs half my portrait screen. Wish XDA listened to feedback and made it collapsible.
