I've been reading XDA developer for years but never register because I hate registration.
But this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/4200mah-nexus-4-internal-battery-t2239829 really moved me to register here.
I want to share what I found about nexus 4 and we can mod the nexus 4 without doing too much damage to the original phone.
Tools needed:
1. Soldering iron
2. cable
3. drill
First, disclaimer, I only gimp-'ing' an image of Nexus 4 teardown I found on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZDAIgwbXk4) & ifixit (https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus+4+Teardown/11781) website.
1. There is a GAP in nexus 4 internal that we can put a small cable to/out the phone.

}
We can put a cable along this gap and drill a hole in nexus 4 backplate to relay the cable to outside the phone.
Then, we solder the cable to this contact point marked in blue.
We drill a hole in a blue mark, and put the cable like in the red line.
2. On the outside of the phone, we double tape the extra battery to the back of the phone.
The final product looks like this.
The second battery were double taped to the phone.
with a wire coming from inside the phone to the battery (red line)
the wire is going through a drilled hole (blue)
You can even put 2 battery on the back glued to each other with another double side tape.
Ammm you done this?

Wiring Lithium Ion batteries in parallel like that is probably not a good idea.
Seriusly?
This has already been done

This is what you get on a boring Friday night.
Parts:
DVD case
White cardboard
Whiteout
Ducktape
Glue stick
I took a spare DVD case I had lying around (bonus points cause it's white and matches my desk). Then I fashioned it into a tablet stand. You do this by taking off the plastic and bending the tabs outwards. Then you secure the case in some way so that it doesn't slide. I have no string so I ducktaped the case open.
Then I took some cardboard and bent it into the proper shape to fit the Galaxy Nexus. I took an even smaller piece of cardboard and used that to make sure the Galaxy Nexus wouldn't slide out of place. I secured that using the glue stick.
Then I painted everything in whiteout to make it nice and sharp.
Obviously this could be much cleaner looking if I had the right parts but this is what I could make due with in my new apartment which has basically nothing in it.
Enjoy

step 1
take apart the box like so:
step 2
fold the box and tape at desired angle like so:
step 3
get another part of the box that you are not using that you cut in step 1, cut the length of it to what you think could withsatnd some pressure by the tablet (I cut about a half inch)
step 4
now with piece you just cut, tap it to the outside of the box where the tablet will sit, be sure the tape is the length of the box. it should look like this so far
step 5
ok your almost done, now reinforce the the places you taped it with more tape. when you think its good your done!
congrats! you have made it. now you can customize it with whatever you want, i used flame duct tape (FTW!)
more pictures!
Post your results and pictures of your stand and leave thanks if you like
nice creativity with the cardboard. To stiffen it up a bit more (since once a crease gets in the cardboard it gets pretty weak and useless) you might want to do some paper mache over it so it stays stiff longer.
Here's the one I made.
I just thought I'd share mine.
I still need to trim off the glue, cut off the excess cardboard and paint it.

I got this case because I needed some protection for my note 2 and nothing was available locally .
I was just looking for something cheap and multifunctional .
For $11.99 I really was not expecting much but it turned out better than I expected. It works well protecting the phone , (my wife dropped hers with no damage ) and it does not make it hard to slip into my pocket .
It really shines when folded into a stand which really comes in handy .
The feau leather material is nice enogh and also comes with storage for license, credit cards etc.
The only negative is I have to take it off if I am using the Samsung media dock .
But for the price it is a nice item to have for sure

Got the same one . I like it especially because I can put my cards and ID in there along with some cash. Also, the price is decent.

My Z1 arrived yay! I ordered it from eBay and despite it saying it would ship from Memphis, it shipped from Singapore and came with a dock and an incompatible charger. Any how, can anyone tell me what this piece is for?

How thin of a case? My case is pretty thin (wouldn't really call it a case, more of just a back cover), and it doesn't fit matter which adapter I use

Couldn't say unfortunately as I don't use a case but the non-case adaptor won't fit my phone because it has a glass screen protector on it. the tolerance for the connector seems to be very small.

My battery is bulging enough that it popped the back off my transparent edition. I jumped on iFixIt, saw the wonderful tutorial, bought all the gear recommended on the page and the very first problem I have is that the screws in the instructions are phillips #00. Unfortunately the ones on my phone have 5 points, not 4. I need a screwdriver recommendation so I don't destroy these tiny things.

If you go to the tutorial, click on the photo detailing the 10 screw locations, the regular Mi9 they were working with is clearly phillips #00. I found a few other repair images online and all of them are the non-explorer edition style. I'm assuming they used different screws to make it prettier for the transparent cover?
easy, just use a flat screwdriver that fits inside with little play and twist. works like a charm

Isn't that going to destroy the head? The star pattern means you can't go straight across with a flathead. I assume these are like the Apple pentalobe screws.
Don't worry, I have done it many times just replace this line with your screwdriver.

I went ahead and grabbed a 0.8mm star(P2 Pentalobe) screwdriver off Amazon. I'm not sure what screwdrivers you have but my smallest one for glasses was too wide to fit like you pictured. Thanks for the advice though.
