Unlock Code Passed

I just entered the unlock code I received from ATT and got the message unlock code passed. I take it that this means its unlocked? Is it a permanent unlock?

I believe that it is a permanent unlock - however - please read the WIKI and do not confuse UNLOCK with HARDSPL if you are going to FLASH ROMS.

what was the exact code or numbers you used to unlock the phone...because some of the #'s for unlock just unlock the service providers branded lock but the other codes unlock the phone period

if the code is from AT&T, then its for permanent sim unlock and you can use other sims. no more, no less

Yes the code is directly from ATT. I told them I'd be doing some international travel and wanted the option of putting in a european sim card while there.

TMobile MDA Unlock, is it permanent?

I recently ordered an unlock code from TMobile UK and have successfully unlocked my phone. The question is whether it remains unlocked forever or will it lock again when I update to a new ROM (official or cooked).

as far as I know when you ordered a unlock code from T-Mobile then it is a sim unlock number to allow you to use other providers in the phone the CID lock is is still there .Still after a hard reset your unlock from T-moblie you should still be able to use other sim cards from other providers

So basically keep my code safe???
Is that what you are saying? That I will need to unlock again when I update with a new ROM?
If so, I'd better keep a note of the Unlock code!

I have a T Mobile HTC HD7. Can anyone suggest where I can get it unlocked at a reasonable price?

T-Mobile will give you the code for free, just ask.

I spoke with tmobile about the unlock code. Is it just to unlock to use any sim or will it unlock the phone to use with the new windows phone tool they have out now. I try to use the tool now and it says phone is locked, will this code unlock it. Thanks

The unlock code from T-mobile will only SIM unlock the phone (you can use with any carrier that has SIM cards).
To dev unlock the phone, you can register on create.msdn.com and use the tool there, or use something like ChevronWP7.

[Q] unlocking my phone

is there a way to unlock my phone just using my tmobile sim because i already got my unlock code for my phone but not another sim for it...is there any alternate options?

TMobile LG G6-If Updated to Oreo will Unlock App Work?

LG G6 7.0 H8721h locked to Tmobile, clean imei. Unlock app returns "unlock failed" repeatedly permanent & temp unlocks.
Not a tmo customer, looking to use it on an att mvno.
Called tmo, they gave me that I get to an LG center to have it flushed, then it can be unlocked. I don't believe them.
It has an available upgrade to an 8.0 Oreo. If I let it, do you think the unlock app will work? What options do I have to get it unlocked?

You have to be a t-mobile customer for the unlock app to work.
For anyone who want to unlock that are not T-Mobile customer, I have an idea to try:
Root the phone and install any custom ROM. Insert a non-t-mobile SIM, if it ask for unlock code, then you can purchase an unlock code from ebay or other 3rd party.
Would be interested to see result.
