I AM NOT, AND DO NOT, CLAIM TO BE A DEVELOPER OF THIS APP, AND/OR ANY TYPE OF ADVERTISING AFFILIATE. I FIND NEW AND INTERESTING THINGS, THEN I SHARE THEM, SIMPLE AS THAT.
I have installed this myself and it works fine. Not the greatest app in the world, and most reviews on it suck thus far, but it does have potential IMO, I suggest you try for yourself.

Q:Why MapQuest, when we already have Google maps
A:Some people don't like Google, some may like the interface better, may want to use it as a backup for searches (in case you get some bad results from Google Maps), may get better performance out of it (lighter than Google Maps), there's no end to the possibilities!
Q:Wouldn't this slow my phone down? Especially being I already have G-maps, and several other navigation apps installed.
A:It's way smaller than you think AND moves to the SD card, so it's not much of a commitment or memory hog.

I'd specifically like to hear what you'd like to see in this app. My future plans are currently:

improved report sighting page
improved FAQs - maybe a "What is the aurora" page
in-app Flickr pool photo browsing
improved Twitter feed
I will hopefully (once I have permission from the appropriate sources) be making locale specific versions for the US, Canada (and Alaska), Australia and New Zealand. Other European countries are unlikely to get a different locale since they're either too low in latitude or can just use the UK data.

Positional is a location based app that utilizes the phone's GPS hardware and fetches various details of the current latitude and longitude data like Altitude, Speed, Address and similar other information and show it in easily understandable format to the user.
