Keep getting "Internet Connection is Established" Message - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Q&A, Help & Troublesh

I'm not sure when this started happening, but I'd guess the past month or so I've noticed it. I constantly get a "internet connection is established" message popping up on my phone when using it, especially when I first wake it up from having it in my pocket. This happens on both WiFi and my cell network. I'm not sure how to get rid of it. I already wiped the cache.

One thing to check is to go into Setttings/WiFi/Advanced and make sure "Always" is choosen for "Keep Wi-Fi on during Sleep".
The cell network I don't know about.

I did try that but still getting the message.

I am guessing this is one of your apps because no one else appears to have this issue. Try uninstalling or freezing apps for a few days to pinpoint which one.

Did you ever figure out the problem? I am also getting the same message on my nexus 6

No I'm still trying to find the cause of the issue. I too think it may be one of my apps, just have to narrow it down now.

It's definitely an app. I just ended up flashing another ROM and since then no messages coming up. I've installed lot of the same apps so I'm not sure which app caused this.
But either way, let me know if you ever figure out. I'll stay away from that app.

Do you have an app from QNAP? Qvideo can do it.

Do you use kik friend finder? i think that's the issue.

Cannot Connect popup

Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to disable the popup saying that the connection cannot connect?
Its getting really annoying now, comes up over the top of TomTom and doesnt automatically disappear so have to keep clicking 'dismiss' when I'm driving and either take phone calls or just driving through an area with crap/no reception.
Any ideas?
Are you talking about that stupid QuickQPS prompt that never works? If so, I'd like to know also. QuickGPS seems to drain my battery as well. I have 3 seperate batteries (2 samsungs, 1 dyna pak) and I'm lucky if I can go a day on 3 batteries.
no, i mean the stupid pop up that comes up if for some reason that the internet connection cannot be made. ie if on phone or in bad/no signal area.

In settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications---> "Connection Disconnected"
I uncheck all of my boxes to stop problems like that. does that solve your problem?

I'm guessing this can't be changed (unless perhaps maybe with some registry tweak) because any option other then "Play Sound" and "Vibrated" are disabled.
Maybe it's some safety or "covering our behinds" mandated feature so the user will know if service is lost.

[Q] D3 Wifi will not turn on, help?

Title pretty much says it all, everytime I turn wifi on, it tells me it's turning on then after a while it'll say disconnecting, then turning off and repeat teh cycle. I have tried restarting, I am rooted but it had this problem before root. Also, please dont just respond "take it to verizon" cuz they won't like my root.

Sounds like a hardware problem. Has it ever worked?
Network issue? It might have a limited connectivity situation going on and trying to continuously authenticate with your router.
have your checked router settings?

Yeah, it used to work fine, could it be an app I downloaded, or some superuser privelages messing it up? My phone used to freeze regulrly when too many apps requested superuser privs. No sure if same issue...

Is it possible to try connecting to a different network and see what happens? My D3 did the same thing and it turns out I just needed to reboot my router. I figured it out by going up to Starbucks where the phone connected just fine.
Definitely hardware. I had the same problem on my previous stock droid 3. Just went out one day. Took it to verizon and they sent me a replacement. Unroot and get a new one.
Also, gps stopped working around the same time. I wonder how widespread faulty hardware is now considering a lot of people with gps problems and if they might see wifi failing soon..

Google Talk won't stay signed in

Google talk will not stay signed in, or is randomly disconnecting and reconnecting later. I've checked my sync and power settings it shouldn't be an idle issue or data connection problem because i have full signal. I didn't have this issue with the Aria?
anyone else having this?
So am I the only one? Did I get a defective device?
Sent from my HTC Vivid
is it giving you any kind of error message? I had that problem ALL THE TIME with my blackberry torch. It kept logging me out saying internal error. That's honestly one of the reasons i got the android. So google apps would work right. I've not had any issues with my google talk. Have you tried logging in with another account just to see if it makes any difference?

no error at all, i lauch the app and it either greys out and i have to back out and lauch again to get the signing in message or i get the signing in message.
I never had these issues with my Aria, i wondered if this version (with the camera/voice options) might have a bug?
tried multiple accts same issue.
i called HTC and the guy said hit home screen instead of backing out of the app to force it to keep running but that did no good. he also asked if i had a task manager and I said only the htc one that came with the phone. He said android comes with that now???? anyway i told the htc one to not start on startup just to see if that was causing any issues but no change.
i still randomly get disconnected from gtalk.
I don't know what to suggest then, that's strange Until we get root it'd be kind of hard to "mess up" an app like that. So I have no idea why it won't stay connected. Maybe take it into an AT&T store, show them, and ask for a new one? IDK if that'd work or not...
Do you have juicedefender? Cus it will disconnect it when u lock ur device

no, i don't use that.
in fact, i went through all (i could find) htc/android setting making sure it wasn't a power setting turning off my data or something crazy like that.
Been having the same issue on my inspire for months. Annoying as hell. Tried clearing data and everything else. Just have to live with it.

I have had the same issue since day one.
Google Talk won't stay signed in except on wi-fi
I have a Galaxy S II w/ ICS 4.0.3 on T-mobile and have the same issues. I have done a master reset and have the issue still. I have 3 accounts on G Talk and all sign out when using network only but will stay signed in on wi-fi. It's annoying. I have also tried unchecking the "Away when screen off" box and still no luck.
I've moved on from the Aria, the Vivid and the S3 has not had this issue with me.

All WiFi profiles getting deleted periodically

My phone configuration
AT&T Note 3
Stock firmware, rooted with TowelRoot, few modifications with wanam.
Haven't changed/modified anything system level on phone other than few visual changes with Wanam Xposed
Problem
All the saved wifi profiles are getting deleted. Happened twice in last month. I do not see any reason why it happened. Today, I came to work, it connected to wifi. An hour later I saw that phone disconnected from wifi and was using mobile data. I went to wifi setting to find that all the saved wifi profiles were deleted. (It only showed one saved profile "attwifi" profile which I think is the default comes with the phone). Now I have to save all wifi profiles again for work, home, friends' homes etc.
Solution
This is where you come in the picture.
Has any one of you seen something similar?
Is it a known issue?
Can this be related to Google "Sync App Data"? Is Google syncing empty wifi profiles for some reason?
Do you guys know solution/workaround for this?
(I will update the solution section when there is a solution available, so all future readers don't have to pile through pages of comments to find the right solution)
Bumping
I've been having this issue. It's a PITA!
I am not rooted.
I assume this issue is very rare and only few of us are seeing it. That's why nobody is replying to this thread. A quick google search found a lot of similar forums but no solution
It's not particularly rare- in fact I have a different but similar situation: my phone will not discover new SSID's, thus cannot connect to them.
You'll find this website isn't always helpful; this thread has had hundreds of views, yet no responses.
Tis just tough luck
I have this problem too. Not only losing l the Wifi but also all my personal settings, such as sounds in unlocking, typing etc. Drives. Me mad

Mine does the exact same thing as yours. Every couple of weeks or so all of my wifi networks just disappear. I've tried googling with no success. I just can't seem to find an answer either. I even have general/backup and reset/backup my data unchecked. My Note3 did this both when I was unrooted and now that I am rooted. It is a real pain.
Well, lets hope that someone will have a fix for that in the future. The WiFi profiles are getting wiped like once a month so its not very annoying but I hope it doesn't wipe my SD card or my personal data.
I have unchecked the Google backup for now, lets see if it fixes the issue.
@K-Alzwayed has a great thread going with a bunch of fixes it looks like #2 in his thread might fix this, you might want to check it out and see if that works for you
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2793441
For a workaround (needs root), try saving a copy of the wifi configuration file and then the next time you lose your settings overwrite the file with the backup version
Code:
/data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf

Glad it helped

WIFI does not sync when phone is sleeping.

Hello everyone good to be back, havent searched these forums since the Galaxy S3 days. Anywho I'm having an issue with my S6. With wifi on after a while it won't sync any of my apps then after turning wifi off is when all my notifications start popping up at once. I do have "Keep wifi on with screen off" option enabled or w/e it's called so I have no idea what's causing this to happen. I hate it because I want to use wifi yet I don't want to miss any important notifications.
So nobody has a suggestion? :-/
i know this won't be of any help but i haven't seen a Lollipop driven device that acts differently, unfortunately.

btw, if you have access to your wireless router, try turning off IPv6. see if that makes any difference in your case.

I'll give that a shot, and are you saying this is a normal occurrence with Lollipop devices? Why hasn't this been fixed yet I'm wondering

nobody knows. this issue has been around for a while now and widely discussed around google boards, reddit and xda. some people blame providers, others google but disabling IPv6 either on your phone (needs root) or on your router fixes it for some. granted, not the most graceful solution.
I have the same issue. Did you try a factory reset too? Did you end up solving this? I've been trying to find more information about this.
