Help me to fix a Hard Brick! - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone. I'm here to ask you one thing. Premise: I have a Samsung S3 Mini GT-I8190N
Last week I flashed a kernel that my phone is not supported and then it went in hard brick (I know I'm a sucker ).
Then I searched on the internet various guides on how to fix this brick and I saw guide on the JIG and JTAG.
By JIG I bought one but was not compatible with my phone's model and now another that I'm waiting for it to arrive (it should be compatible). Instead of JTAG I saw the various components that serve and the total price close to 130-140 € then I don't want to talk.
In the meantime I get the second JIG I found by chance a guide on how to fix the hard brick without JTAG.
The problem is that there are only three/ our similar guide to another model i.e. on a S3.
An example is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369125
An another example is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166
I'm coming to the point. In these guides are listed several things which are necessary and the only thing I miss is the debrick image.
I tried getting on google a debrick image for s3 mini i8190/N and there is nothing.
Exasperated, I always find by chance a guide on how to make this debrick. image.
This guide is here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f60...samsung-debrick-files-only-bootloader-1885507.
I do everything it says and the program tells me that there isn't ATF box which would be similiar a Riff Box for JTAG and this also costs about 110 €. I leave it alone.
After all this I ask: is there another way to create this damn debrick image? Or has anyone found a link to download it?
Or someone know how to fix this damn brick without SEND IT IN ASSISTANCE?
Meanwhile thank you!
P.s. sorry for bad english. I'm a italian guy that know very little english

Hello. I have the same problem. How did you fix it?

If you bricked following an official upgrade, contact Samsung.
If you bricked because you didn't follow a guide properly, or did not know what you were doing, then your mostly on your own.
I highly doubt your the 1st person to do this, and I would take a guess that there exists a guide or method to unbrick.
My advice to you is strangely the first rule of XDA, Search. The information is there, you just need to find it.
Hard Brick?
Is it hard bricked or soft bricked?
Can you get to the download screen by pressing power and vol down at the same time? Or can you get to the computer / exclamation mark screen? If you leave the phone to charge overnight?
That would be soft bricked.
If you can't get to either of those then you are prob hard bricked and will need serious help. But there are people who can help you out on these forums. I remember seeing someone in the U.S. who had a JTAG and charged $50. If you're in Europe that's probably not a solution though!

Any chances of resurrecting my Galaxy Tab?

Ok! I bought a Samsung P1000N Galaxy Tab from ClaroPR this week. Like always with every android devices i have i rooted it with superoneclick. Yesterday i was trying to update the tablet to gingerbread since it had Froyo. Follow the tutorials in here to flash it(I guess i didnt read the warnings about the secure bootloaders or something like that) but the thing is that i ended up softbricking my device. The gingerbread i was trying to flash was the JQ1. Anyways, i tried to flash it using Odin 1.7, it ended up failing and now i just have the cell triangle and computer logo of dead on the screen. Thing is that i know its not supposed to be totally bricked. But then in the device manager it doesnt show as samsung composite device or anything like that. I need help from someone who has gone thru this already and knows what to do. Or is it just a brick and thats it? Thanks...

If you get anything on the screen at all (Triangle, Download mode, Samsung logo, etc...) It's not bricked, just sponged. Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the P1000N, but in general, try reloading the samsung drivers and try another USB port. Once you get it to show up in device mangler you can push the right tar with Odin and you'll be cooking with gas again. Sorry I can't help with this specific model, but sammy devices in general are hard to truly "brick"
Okay i think now its dead. It turned off when it lost the charge and now not even Heimdall recognize it. So if someone knows about a good tutorial on Jtaging this i will appreciate.
Edit: Found useful guide in here to resurrect it so i will give that a try...
The Unbrickable Mod works like a champ! I know, because I had to resort to this over this last weekend.
However, it does require mods to the mainboard that require some skill. Once accomplished, it is virtually impossible to brick your Tab.

Why you want to go for Jtag just becoz battery is dead. Get the Tab Opened, Recharge the battery externally (Repair/Service Center should help). Follow the Team Overcome Guide to install the Stock Safe Rom and then you can either continue with it or move to any other ROM of your choice.
I would keep JTAG as the Last option.
If it's new Tab, it should still be under warranty.
wow, impressive post (the unbrickable mod).. Not sure I'd have the guts to do that though..

Brickbug Warranty Replacement Questions

I basically brick bugged my Note by accident by formatting in recovery while on stock ICS.
I live in Canada and bought the phone while I was in Spain. I sent a message to Samsung Canada and they said to contact Samsung Spain. This is the response I received from them, I don't know how to respond to make sure they fix my phone. I don't believe ICS is out yet in Spain and I used Odin to flash it.
"Thank you very much for contacting us regarding your Galaxy Note.
Please, in order to give you the best answer, please inform us how did you exactly the upgrade to ICS and what do you mean exactly with “formatted” and what steps have you taken to make it.
Then we will back to you as soon as possible."
If you could help my figure it out it would be awesome of you guys. I'm also wondering what other options I have. Buy a USB Jig and a new motherboard I think I read somewhere? Can you even get the motherboard?
Nobody has any input on what I should say to them to make sure I get a warranty replacement?
I know it was my fault for not reading, but I came from the Galaxy Nexus where I formatted at will with no issues.
just tell them you connected to kies and did a factory reset via settings menu, and you got bricked. and install the angelom kernel (search for it) guaranteed hardbrick after you make sure you get a replacement.
had the same situation
but was with my insurance
dont have to lie just dont tell the truth
so say that it has stopped working no more info
it worked in my case
good luck

What exactly does the Angelom Kernel do? Make it just go blank and they can't tell anything that's happened?

I tried to flash Lollipop 5.1.1 (Carbon) 20150701 on my S3 via odin and the cable failed and hard bricked my S3 mini. No download mode,No recovery,No Bootlogo,No Vibration…just dead. Is there a debrick img available so i might be able to save my phone? I cannot afford JTag right now. Please assist. I think it has to be the bootloader.

Why not the S3 8190? This one in the link above has a corrupted bootloader too.
I wish someone would help a brother out and upload an img instead of making remarks. Anything worth trying is better than getting a Riff Jtag. It seems as if this forum is all about reposting stuff from other sites or members are smartasses.
1. I'm trying to get an idea of the status of the device.
2. I'm just a guy that has the same phone without any android development knowledge who is trying his best to help.
3. There are some real geniuses on this site.

I apologise, I had been scouting every forum possible with no solution in sight and no hope of finding one. I was frustrated. The device has been taken to a repair center and the technician looked very confused but said he would try. As a south african you will understand my lack of confidence in the device being repaired as he was hired due to AA.
Apologies once again.
PS: I have bought a J5 brand new and I hope i dont kill it. Trying very hard to keep it stock...

I see that there is still nobody on this forum that actually knows what they are doing. ****ing morons.
Flashing phone via JTAG port could be a solution. You need a JTAG debugger ( Riff Box, Medusa, Z3X etc.) which supports your phone. The trouble is, this devices is not cheap so its better to send it to a phone service.
