This keeps popping up each time I install an app and it's driving me bonkers. Has anyone seen this before or know how to track down the culprit? I can trigger it and provide a logcat if needed, just let me know what level (using catlog) of log you need.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I've been randomly freezing suspects in TiBU like my weather widget to no avail.

its an app that you installed yourself, 100%.
Update
Turns out it was my launcher "L Launcher" from the playstore. It was showing up on Google launcher even when the process was killed, it took freezing in TiBU and a restart to get it to go away.

other than this advice? is there anyone out there who knows wad is happening?! Pls enlighten me!!!!
Install 'Android Sytem Info' and go to 'Tasks'. Expand each task and you will see the UID of the task. Your UID will probably be in there somewhere.
I think all is in the title but i'll explain a bit more.
Everytime i'd like to upgrade my apps from the market or from the blackmarket, i have a notification of fail after the end of the download process. What can i do?
If somebody has the answer please help me.

You'd be better off asking this in the miui-dev forums, there is no official support for anything MIUI on xda, been stated a thousand times.
use titanium backup to uninstall the app, reboot, then get from the market
Basic stuff.

Oh, like you're the only one here that's NEVER downloaded an MP3 from LimeWire, or got a movie from TPB.
You ain't all that and a bag of potato chips!

Not sure if this will work on MIUI...
Sometimes with CM if I encounter such error, I enter Rom Manager and execute "Fix Permissions", and it'll be fine afterwards.
Seems like every day or so I get this random shortcut as well as a notification to download some app of the day. I can't figure out what's making the notification/shortcut. Any ideas of what it can be? I posted a pic and you can see the shortcut in the middle of my home screen.

That must be an app you have downloaded. Some of them have auto run when android loads, and then they 'push' a notification message (ad) , or put a shortcut on your home screen. I used to have an MP3 Downloader app that did that. There is an app in the market that disables the auto run from these apps but I forgot what it was called.
I figured that was it, just don't know what app it might be.

Download Adpush (I think that's what it's called) and it will scan for spyware-ish apps like that and tell you which one is doing it.

The image shows 6h20m of usage, my Maps app keeps starting on its own and is keeping my phone awake.
Even after I force close and remove all maps related services.
Does anyone have a solution to this that doesn't involve advanced task killer and the likes?
I'm on CM10, with 4.2.1 gapps.

Just uninstall it or freeze it using Titanium Backup
Hello there
I've always heard great things about greenify and I finally decided to give it a shot. This is how I set it up for now:

Does that mean that these applications will not run in the background anymore and I'd only receive notifications from them, for instance, when I run them?
And one more thing:
What does this mean and do?
Thank you very much. If this is not the correct section and that Apps and Games is more appropriate, please let me know and I'll edit/delete this.

thats ok but i would not hibernate facebook ... i want to get messages or notification
i would asphalt moto hibernate too... and some others i dont need
Thank you for your reply, but AsphaltMoto and other games aren't actually running in the background, are they? I mean when I check under Settings > Apps > Running I only see a few applications which are basically system ones but I don't see the ones listed under "May slow down the device when.." so do I really have to hibernate them as well?
