Hi All,
I have the Dutch version.
I was wondering if someone did manage to get the spell checker and the word completion to get work
works ok on English version
Did you install the Dutch spell checker?
I have this one installed on my English MDA Pro.
Both option's are working fine.
On the Kaiser i don't see any thing...
I downloaded that swype 1.61 yesterday, but i can't run it on my htc legend because the screen is too small
Could someone fix that? and if you're at it, could you remove all language packs except dutch?
you should look for more apks. Languages and screen resolution are usually specified in the file name. I have it working on my legend with english and russian language packs. i'll try to remember where i downloaded it
Do a Google search for Swype_1.60.36.8214_HVGA.apk

Does this version work on my legend and does it have the dutch language pack only?

I think it has a lot of languages (the file is huge!), but it wouldn't install on my phone. Try downloading it yourself and trying it out.
Either way, it will ALWAYS have English...

Legend's screen is HVGA so it will definitely work, but it will have a big bunch of languages. In order to find version which includes ONLY dutch and english you must search local forums, i am pretty sure you'll find your version there
It's working alright, although i can't find a version that only has the dutch language pack included
Hello,
This morning I received the update (in Finland) for my unbranded Samsung Galaxy S (GT-i9000) from 2.1 to Froyo 2.2
Before the update, my Swype application is pre-installed by Samsung and it was version 3.x (I can't remember the exact version).
After the update to Froyo, the pre-installed Swype version is now 2.6.x, and it has less languages than before, including Spanish (my mother tongue, and the language I typically use)
I have written an email to my GSM provider, to Samsung and to SwypeInc, but nobody replies. I have tried to find Swype 3.9 (the latest version, I think) from the Internet without any result. Actually, I only miss the Spanish dictionary.
Does anyone have any idea? Is this happening to you also?
I am looking forward to hear your replies,
P.S.- I found Swype 3.9.x as a CAB file, and followed the instructions, but it won't install because my phone cannot open the CAB file.

The reason it won't open a .cab file is because they are for Windows Mobile.
I have 2.1 :-(
Swype 2.1 here too with the new 2.2 oficial update :/
Are u sure u had version 3.x?? coz mine is ver. 1.60 on eclair JM2..
and i think samsung using different languages on different regions to save space..
thats why u dont have spanish swype on finland firmware.. i guess
Hello,
Actually you are right. I had Swype version 1.6 on JM2. I was confused after reading many forums for Windows Mobile.
So, the situation is now this one: I had Swype 1.6 with many languages (including Spanish). Now, with Froyo, I have Swype 2.6.47.11856, which doesn't have Spanish.
I cannot find a way to add Spanish to the new Swype. In fact, I searched for the Swype 2.6.47.11856 APK and I tried to install it on my phone, but after installing the phone says: "Application not installed.".
So, to sum up, I have the newest Swype version for Android, but I don't have Spanish anymore, and I can't overwrite the built-in Swype on my phone. Am I screwed?
If you have Swype 2.6.47.11856, could anyone please tell me if you have Spanish language available for input?
Thank you in advance,

Spanish is included in the Swype that is shipped with JPO, the central european version (2.1.41.10155). The scandinavian versions don't have it.
As i said.. different regions = different languages
Thanks for the reply anyways. I am just so confused, because I bought the phone here in Finland, and it came with Spanish Swype (and many more languages). Now I updated in Finland as well, and there is no Spanish Swype. But I have vietnamise, korean, romanian and stuff like that..
Is it possible to install a Swype dictionary manually?
Why not upgrade again to the European version of the firmware, and automatically get the version that has Spanish? You will need to downgrade Kies to ....93 or earlier, then regedit kies version to latest to stop it pestering you to upgrade, then with the old version you can regedit the phone version to one that gets the European upgrade. It is all described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9043729&postcount=74
I can confirm, I used the registry hack to get the generic "European Countries" update by setting ProductCode="GT-I9000HKDXEU" and Swype has got spanish.
But I need romanian and it's not there Does anybody know which ProductCode should I use to get the romanian language in Swype?
Hi dear Forum Members
I have a small (hope) Problem with the DEV_SKIN_XBMOD_v4.cab from Xbmod
My Rom is ROM_HTC_HD7_FullyUnlocked_and_ISharing
I have installed the cab as usual, the Update was successful.
In English Region all works fine, but when I change Region into German (Deutsch)
the Custom Icons don´t appear
Anyone got an Idea ?
THX
P.s. sorry for my bad english
Hey there,
I was wondering if there are updates on supporting languages such as Arabic and Hebrew through this ROM either directly or by installing an app.
I tried looking it up, but couldn't find anything regarding this specific OS version.
Thanks!
