CyanogenMod Installation Failing - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I've made an attempt at installing CyanogenMod 12.1 (and later 12.0 to see if that would work) onto my GT-I8190T.
I've been following the instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400123, the only difference being I am using the clockworkmod for recovery.
After reaching step 11 (installing the rom). It will load and eventually fail. I've transcribed the messages that come onto the screen below.
Installing: /external_sd/os upgrade stuff/cm12.1_golden.nova.20150723.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Warning: No file_contextsdetected filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk0p22
detected filesytem ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk0p25
detected filesytem ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk0p22
Then after a few minutes of installing it fails. Unfortunately the entire message is not left on the screen but what I do see is:
r:system_file:s0 failed: Operation not supported on transport endpoint
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error in /external_sd/os upgrade stuff/cm12.1_golden.nova.20150723.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated thank you.

Had same problem yesterday but google told me that possible cause is outdated/old recovery kernel so I decided to update my old CWM to TWRP. From this recovery kernel I had no issues at all upgrading to CM12.1.

Tip: Never use CWM to flash Lollipop!

Clockwork FRF83

Flashing from CM 5.0.8 using Rom Managers FRF83. It downloads three files, ERE27, FRF50, and FRF83. I get this error when installing part two

From what I'm reading, this means that the updater script from Rommanager doesn't release the mount on system after the first flash, because I can easily navigate to the directory after I receive this error and install it manually. I figure the way it works is after install it umounts.
Just as an FYI, if others are trying this, this is what I did to overcome. 1.Using clockwork recovery
2.mount SD
3.find FRF83fromFRF50
4. copy to /sdcard/update.zip
5. manually install ERE27toFRF50
6. let it boot
7. reboot into stock recovery
8. install update.zip through stock recovery
BOOM FRF83
Ooops, sorry MODs. It originated as a question, but I figured it out mid writing this. Please move to general. Sorry

[SOLVED] update-binary in update.zip???

Well, I'm trying to upgrade my rom's update script to be an updater-script/update-binary combo, like cyan's roms. I keep getting errors when trying to flash. I've included my recovery.log below.
Code:
-- Installing: SDCARD:WD40M0D.zip
I:Set boot command "boot-recovery"
Finding update package...
I:Update location: SDCARD:WD40M0D.zip
Opening update package...
I:Update file path: /sdcard/WD40M0D.zip
Installing update...
I:Trying update-binary.
1 parse errors
line 1 col 29: syntax error, unexpected BAD
E:Error in /sdcard/WD40M0D.zip
(Status 6)
Installation aborted.
I:Set boot command ""
I need to know how to get the update-binary to work. I have tried using the stock FRF91 update-binary from the OTA update.zip, and cm's. No dice.
Thanks!
SOLVED
Ok, so the issue happened to be that TextEdit or Console for OSX was adding invisible characters to the end of every line in my updater-script. All is well.
Thanks to Leonnib4 for setting me straight.

[Q]Install CyanogenMod 10

I would to install cyanogenmod 10... I started from GB stock firmware(overcome I think)... I rooted device, then I put the zip file on internal memory... I started device holding power on and volup key... I wiped data/factory reset, then wiped cache... I finally chose install zip card but I received this error:
Installing /sdcard/cm-10-20120908-NIGHTLY-p1.zip
Finding update package
Opening update package
Installing update
assert failed: run_program("/tmp/updater.sh") == 0
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-10-20120908-NIGHTLY-p1.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.
I did a sho log in advanced menu:
I:Can't partition unsafe device: /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
I:Can't format unknown volume: /external_sd
I:Can't partition unsafe device:/dev/block/mmcblk1p1
I don't understand what I should to do... Can you help me???
My device is a p1000(gsm)... Now is accessible only in download mode and in CWM recovery...
I solved with one more step... First I returned to stock GB, then installed CM9 and updated to CM10 with cdesai instruction... Installation finished...

[Q] Error Installing Latest CM10.1 (7/19) or CarbonRom (7/15)

I've been running verygreen's CM on my nook for a while now and wanted to try CarbonRom; however, I ran into an error and thought I bricked my device as it would no longer boot and wouldn't flash the latest CM ROM either. Restoring to a backup worked though so I then tried seeing what the latest version of the OS would work. I was able to install both the 7/16 version of CM and the 7/10 (B8) version of CarbonRom but any later and it would give me an error:
set_perm: some changes failed
(Status 7)
set_perm: chown of /system/bin/netcfg to 0 3003 failed
set_perm: chmod of /system/bin/netcfg to 2750 failed
I appreciate any assistance you can provide for this issue.
Also getting this error
I'm also getting this error message from 7/19 and I'm having problems getting it too boot once its failed. Just goes to a black screen.

Carbonrom B11 (7/23) seemed to work so maybe the next CM 10.1 update will also work.

How to install Stagefright fix on rooted XT1068

Hi,
so I'm having a little bit of a problem with my Moto G 2nd Gen. Dual SIM 2014 (XT1068). I got the notification for the Stagefright fix update a few days ago, but every time I try to install it the installer throws an error after the progress bar is at about 40%.
Now I've found the cause. In /cache/recovery/last_log it says that /system/bin/app_process32 has an unexpected SHA1 sum. The log:
Code:

The phone has an unlocked bootloader and was rooted with SuperSU but otherwise unmodified (I needed the root for the Sixaxis Controller). Some forum posts I found mentioned that the "Xposed Framework" is probably the cause, but I did not install that.
... I've found the original file in /system/bin/app_process32_original but system-recovery.sh also has a backup and was definitely modified by SuperSU
So I guess the question is: how can I install the Stagefright update without losing root?

Thanks, but that was exactly what I didn't want to do. But well, I still did it.
Unrooted (that reverted the necessary files back to normal),
Installed the update,
Rooted again with CF AutoRoot.
I need help!

Hi,
I'm using SuperSU which has an option to remove itself.
SuperSU -> Settings -> Cleanup
There you can choose between "Switch superuser app" or "Full unroot".
I used "Switch superuser app", that was enough for me to install the system update.
