How do you transfer photos from Android to Apple? Specifically I'm trying to move photos from the S6 to a macbook. I've tried all the common answers that come up on google but none of them work. E.g. Image capture, android file transfer, etc..
p.s. I'd like to thank the assholes at Apple for making this a problem in the first place t('_')t
Why not just keep them in the cloud?
Use Android file transfer,, it's free and I think it's made by Google

all you have to do is connect your Android and use Android File Transfer (basically mount it as a drive) then drag your music to music folder and pics to pics.
now use Mac to add your Pics to Photos (iPhoto if older) and import your music into iTunes and now when you hook up your iPhone you can tell iTunes what to sync.
shouldnt be hard
Apple has a new app called switch to apple or iPhone or something
If you use Google photo as a backup, you can log in and download them. Depending on if you said to upload full resolution or not, that might not quite work out though.

I love Dropbox, but I use it mainly for photos.
Unfortunately it seems like the droobox app doesn't show thumbnails for my photos which makes it very hard to navigate.
Anyone know a seamless solution to this (not including going through the Dropbox webssite)?
The gallery will show them also only after you downloaded. Maybe you have to wait for an update from Dropbox? I think the reason is that as long as you have not downloaded them Dropbox wants to preserve memory/space on your phone and only shows basic info. If the devs realize the tablet market is increasing with devices offering more memory and computing power they might offer a more "Explorer-like" UI.
Dropbox on iOS has 2 features that I know of Android version doesn't, one is the thumbnails and the other is password lock. both were working on the ipad. Why the hell are they different I have no clue.
While I do use dropbox for a lot of things. I prefer using Picasa if I want to manipulate my pictures. being able to sync easily from my desktop and having access to the pics in the gallery on the xoom is pretty awesome. That is just my opinion. I paid $5 to have 20gb for a year from google. I hated to have to move the files to dropbox since picasa will detect new photos or changes and sync them without me thinking about it.
I like them both but I find dropbox better for files and with Quick Office HD integration it is awesome for that.

I use picasa for my normal photos but for patient photos that I want to update on both my computer and xoom dropbox seems like a better option. Also allows me to organize those patient photos into folder albums...
Ok, so we all know how Google music currently only uploads from your PC, and I'm sure we all hate the fact that when we download new music to our tablet or phone from some other source (like Amazon or MP3Downloader) it doesn't upload to GM.
I know the work arounds like Drop Box and setting GM to search the USB Drive connection of your device for new music, but both require either the PC being on and awake 24/7 or the phone being connected to the PC. I think that defeats the purpose of GM's sync design.
So here's my Idea: (Mind you I don't have the know-how to even begin this, so if it's impossible forgive me. )
Couldn't one of the amazing DEV's on XDA decompile the Google Music Uploader program that runs on the PC and take what's needed from that (such as the upload urls or commands or whatever) and use it to create an Android App that will do the same? Then you could have a standalone app that monitors your /music folder and uploads new files to your GM account. Similar to the way G+ uploads new pics.
Again I have no idea how or if this could work but I thought it was worth mentioning... Any takers?
As per title really,
Im looking for some way or managing / organising my music playlists, Possibly by my computer.
I have a lot of music on my phone and creating and editing each playlist separately just takes forever. So does anyone know of a quicker way ?
And finally, When i have organised my playlists, Is there a way i can back them up ? So that when i do a full wipe I do not have to re do them again ? Over in the HTC forums, users say that TB can back up playlists, However i tried this several times and upon a restore it didnt work.
So looking for an alternative for that too ! :good:
Thanks

Samsung have released a new app for seamless transfer from iTunes (if you're a fan).
The reason I say this is I find creating playlists on iTunes very easy and they're always hosted on your PC.
The apps called easy phone sync, free in play store, only for galaxy owners. There's a separate app for the PC, link provided on the play store page. Haven't actually used it yet, but reviews are promising.

Thanks man I'll look into that.
Swyped From My Galaxy Note
Hey guys, got my N7 yesterday and I absolutely love it! I'm currently running Glazed JellyBean (but you don't care about that). I bought the 8gb version, knowing full and well what I would be getting into, so I synced all of my music and pictures with Google, and am looking into Google Drive for other storage options. What are some other ways that you guys have found that save you some storage? You never really know what you got till it's gone (a pun, I'm referring to a sd card lol)
If it comes to it you can squeeze a bit more by moving user apps to system. Think stock has about 200mb free in the system partition.
I've got a 32gb sd card on my phone I can access with wifi file explorer while tethered

Although not ideal for most people I have Samba Filesharing installed on my Galaxy S3 (requires root) that turns my S3's 32GB SD card in to a Samba share, and I use ES File Explorer on my tablet to access it, so with large games (like Gameloft games) I move the assets folder over to my S3's memory card when I am not going to play them, and just keep the assets for the game I want to play on my tab. Takes a minute to transfer but faster by far than downloading the assets every time I play the game. Rarely do I find myself in a situation where I don't have my phone close by, especially since I tether to my phone when Wifi is not available.
I also have a share on my Windows PC. AndSMB will allow to access your shares over 3G\4G but obviously this is only useful for small files.
For music I use Amazons MP3 cloud service. You can store 250 songs for free, or 250,000 songs for $25 a year, and songs you buy from Amazon don't count toward your limit.
For pics, docs, and other things like that I use Google Drive.
I use Google Music to store all of my music on the cloud and Plex to serve up movies from my PC at home. Pictures are all stored on Google+.
I have pretty much everything I need on my 8gb and I still have around 4gb (of the 6gb available) free

For storage, I'm using Google drive for all my ebooks and Google Music for all my music. As for movies, I leave everything on my PC. I bought Splash top HD to stream everything directly to my tablet. I haven't encountered any problems so far.
Yeah my pics are synced with Picasa and my music w/ Google Music, I just want to play some games and unfortunately, most of the graphic intensive ones require around a gig of data

Forgive the cross-post, but I'm trying (and failing) to transfer mp3 files from my PC to my new Galaxy Watch 3. I know I can use the Wearable app, but I don't want to duplicate the files on my phone and then upload them to my watch. Also not wanting to do it through bluetooth, which will take forever.
I want, but can't find the simple "Music Manager" wifi function as seen in the vid below and the Samsung support articles:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3v54WyNbQg
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00078019/
https://www.samsung.com/hk_en/suppo...er-music-files-from-iphone-to-gear-s2-s3-fit/
I've tried the Teleporter app, and it's never worked for me. I even tried out this crazy solution using the Tizen Studio:
https://www.reddit.com/r/gearfit/comments/5pww1w/music_transfer_with_no_samsung_device/
from which I managed to upload an mp3 file into my watch after launching the device manager, but my watch's music program couldn't recognize the basic mp3 file (though I saw it in there using a file explorer).
How can they make it this impossible? Why can't we just upload files straight from our PC?
What am I missing?
As there is no way of physically connecting the watch to the PC (unlike the original Gear watches of years ago), you are stuck with the only real way, as painfully slow as it might be, using the wearable app. I don't think Samsung envisaged people loading 1000's of music files to a watch, maybe things will change now they are adding more storage.
Maybe you should contact Samsung support directly.
As you are using an iPhone your choices are also more limited. unless you finally work out that "Music Manager" solution you mentioned, but that only seemed to be compatible with the S2/S3/Fit models. Maybe Apple have blocked it in some way as sadly they have form for things like that.
I guess you will just have to bite the bullet - maybe do it in batches!
