I just got my Nexus 6 about a month ago and I have started experimenting with root and roms. I have tried a couple roms but I decided I want to return to stock with root just for the best stability. Is there any way I can add tweaks like the circle battery or free wifi tether to the stock rom? Thanks
Or if there is a rom that is stable that you recommend I may look into that as well
Chroma is a nice rom with just the right amount of features.
SinLess rom is extremely stable also, based on stock.

With the exception to cm, not really heard of anything being unstable.
Use xposed

Alright, I will look into it when it becomes more stable because I do miss it from KitKat. Maybe you or someone else could help me out with one more thing. Im trying out BlissPop v2.0 currently and for the wifi hotspot, everything works as it should, but it says "no connected devices". Is there a way to fix this? I know the hotspot is working because I'm using it to post this lol.

bro sorry, im out of customs roms i dont find any du rom can give me a link?
my YouTube works perfectly. it did have an issue, but its not android related. its issue was caused by tmobile binge on service. I disabled binge on, and now it streams perfectly. with binge on enabled, it reduced video quality and it was constantly buffering.

Anyone facing any issues while on the ROM?
Can I just flash it if I have cm12.1 already running.
Any other update of bootloader etc needed to get it work? Don't want to get stuck in boot logo etc.
Thanks

No, you'll need to kdz to stock M, ensure Enable OEM Bootloader unlock is checked, and then reboot into bootloader mode to 1) do OEM unlock and 2) boot into TWRP in order to permanently install TWRP. It's pretty simple. I think I spent a grand total of 10-15 minutes setting it up: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/stock-h811-20i-images-kdz-flashable-t3308227

Same as I posted above. If you're not yet on M, you'll need to flash the M KDZ (or OTA update to M, if you're still on stock), unlock bootloader and re-install TWRP to flash any M ROM.

Wow lol you just repeated the same question that was already answered literally above your post. Like you didn't even read. If your on any 5.1 ROM you have to flash the stock mm ota update first before flashing any mm ROM. After flashing the stock mm always make sure OEM unlock is enabled. Unlock your bootloader, flash twrp recovery.
How is the camera on CM? Is is there a hit to quality?

There is some wanky nature to the ffc when using Snapchat. But I prefer the CM camera to the stock camera.

As with any non-stock camera app, I'm sure there is a bit of a hit to quality, since they can't access LG's closed-source camera, but honestly, I can't tell a huge quality difference myself. The Snap camera used in CM (as well as Bliss, which I'm currently running with Llama Sweet Kernel with some tweaks - I highly recommend this kernel so far for CM or Bliss, or just about any other AOSP-ish ROM) has taken some big steps forward since CM was first available for the G4. (Full disclosure, some people have had issues with the flash going at the wrong time, causing over/underexposed pics, but I haven't seen it on mine. Others have also reported a bit of a hit to video (some lagginess) but I haven't taken any video yet to confirm or deny.)

Honestly, and this is always my advice, I'd say go ahead and try it out. Just do a backup beforehand, and test out the camera first thing after flashing. If it's up to par, great! If not, 5 minutes later you're back to stock. Like I said, I haven't seen any of the issues a few others are reporting so far. Of course it's totally up to you. Just don't want you to deprive yourself of AOSP for something that may not effect you at all.

Hello. I when I click on download, it crashes. I get "unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped." So far that is the only app behaving like that. Someone else can confirm this or is just me?. I even reset whole system and same issue.
TURBO
Been rocking it for a bit over a day. It runs beautifully. I've installed open gapps as well. The only issue I have is that video playback will seem to pause for a second while the audio continues, so it'll end up lagged by a second. This happens every time you pause a video too, so it'll become increasingly lagged the more you do it, leaving the audio and video totally de-synced.
Edit: Running the 02/14 nightly. Will update later and see if it gets resolved.
We already have a support thread for our devices at the G4 Int forum. All you need it to do was link that thread in our general discussion forum instead. No developers for CM13 will see this thread at all. Lol

Im thinking of trying this out and wondering if the video call will be lost. Its tmobiles version of facetime but its suppose to be working on g4 note 5 gs6 edge + etc. And it does with this lastest update so im wondering whats going on.
I forgot to mention hows battery life on the rom?
Hey guys. I'm trying to figure out the most stable MM rom. I really like DU but it keeps random rebooting. Im new to the note 4 and I just want to know what you guys suggest. Thanks in advance.
So far, AICP has been the best I've used. It's been the only stable ROM I've run besides the stock one.
yesh im on AICP too, everything works great, but i miss the camera quality on TW roms
And the camera speed

My suggestion will be stock 6.0.1 +beastmode r56 kernel+ root+xposed. Aosp roms sucks in battery life and camera in my opinion
I been using broken. It's ok but not playing well with magick mask superuser zip so I can play pokemon. Right now stock rooted is what I'm running with no issuse but I wish it was lighter

I'll give it a try. Does it work with twrp or do I need cwm? Right now I'm just stock rooted with twrp.
Norma Note 7 Port is pretty good if you dont mind missing fingerprint feature.

On most custom ROMs for the nora the common bug is taking video with the camera but curious to see why exfat use corruption isn't mentioned.
Rotated among most of the ROMs and always get issues copying multi megabyte files if the microsd is exfat.
Reverting to just fat32 avoids this issue mostly but it's not ideal though.
Is this an issue even on stock? Could a fix still be done for custom ROMs? (Even if quite old)

the camera bug is already fixed here "https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/kernel-kernel-3-18-moto-e5-plus-linux-nora-correction.4539157/" this bug is due to the kernel. only variant xt1944-6 has not yet been resolved. because i am having problems with the kernel recipe. what is your variant??
the microsd problem is a problem in the custom rom! I still don't know if it's a kernel problem that happens. next week I'm going to check this problem in the kernel to see if it's there.

At time of my reply I was using stock Nusantara_LTS-10 kerneI which had both video issues and exfat issues.
Right now tried the kernel mod for Nusantara_LTS-10 and so far videos are OK on my xt1944-6.

Nah bro. You understood wrong. No issues related to camera. I had video issue before using your kernel & it fixed that.
The only problems in custom roms are-
1/ Inbuilt Screen recorder (PE rom's screen recorders are fine, they can be ported in other roms. So nothing serious with that)
2/ In game graphics glitches and low fps.
3/ Some apps just don't work.
So I am using stock rom for now. But I miss the wifi h★k, viper4fx that worked on custom roms
