i discover that i run any app i create a "hello world" in android studio and surprise it run in my phone stucked in safe mode trough but i need help to open whatsapp in android studio

I'm trying to run Android studio project, but when I run (clicking the run button) it show me the developement phone with an old version of another app I have made before.
Why? how I can view the actual app I'm working on?
