Bug in Facebook app - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

When I receive an email from Facebook (for any notification such as Birthday reminds, Login alerts, etc.) on my phone (whether to Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook), and open Facebook via any link provided in the email, I am shown the option of whether to "Open with" using "Facebook", "Chrome", or "Internet" (because I have never set a default). If I choose Facebook, it opens a Facebook app, but it is slightly different than if I open the Facebook app directly from App drawer. For example, there is no option to "Post to someone's timeline" in the version opened from the Email link.
In the following images, you can see for yourself that there is a difference between Email Link Facebook (left side) and Native Facebook (right side).
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Notice that they are clearly different. The Email Link Facebook doesn't even have a "Write Post" option.
Is this because it is sometimes launching the un-updated Facebook app that came preloaded on my phone? Can other Galaxy S6 users confirm this experience? How can I stop this from happening?

Try clearing data from the app and signing in again

I had already tried that. It didn't work. I can't uninstall completely, because FB came preloaded. But after removing updates and clearing all data, my phone requested to download FB after clicking on the FB icon in my app drawer. I allowed it. The outcome was the same as I've described above. I then downloaded the latest updates from the Play Store. The outcome was again the same as I described above.
Serio22, are you saying this does not occur on your Samsung Galaxy S6?

It looks the same as when I open it from the app drawer, don't use it much though, but links never open for me

What are you comparing opening FB from the app drawer to? I'm comparing opening it from a link.

Did you copy them from SIM to phone and not delete the original? I mean do you have them in the phone and also in the SIM? Are they duplicates?

Nope
all contacts are facebook or gmail sync
Try adding a contact only for gmail, if that is possible...
If after doing that you get the names in messaging app it could be a sync bug or something.
Post tests feedback, please.

De authorize HTC sense from accessing Facebook.

When I first got the phone and logged into Facebook it asked for HTC to access it for things, I press Ok but I regret it now, I'm trying to De authorize but not sure how. I deleted the permission from within Facebook but I get an unswipeable notification that there is an authorization problem in the swipe down. Anyone know how to get this done?
I really just want to remove Facebook pictures from my gallery app so if anyone knows how to do that, that would be great.
Go to gallery, click settings, click show /hide albums. Uncheck the marks on the albums that you don't want to show.

I'm pretty sure if you remove facebook from your accounts, and then just log in with the downloaded facebook app - if you want to be able to use it, you should be good.
More importantly - what is that cake that joslin is eating?!??

Text function doesn't work

Ok guys I've checked all my settings and for the life of me can't figure this out. Everytime I use the text feature from the watch it seems to work ok(tells me text sent etc.), if I go to the phone it appears as if everything is ok(shows text being sent from messaging app), but no one receives the text. If I go back to the messaging app and manually type it from the phone it works fine. Cant figure this one out any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.......
I have the same issue just on my phone when using OK Google

What phone are you using? I am on a Galaxy S5.
Note 4, Verizon.
Idk about on Google not working but the only way I can respond from the watch is I use Google messenger. On stock messaging app on my G3 to reply it tries to make me open on phone. Maybe try the same and see if it makes a difference?
You have to use google hangouts as your default text program or it won't work. Had same issue.

I enabled hangouts as my default and also made sure I enabled sms and it still doesn't work. The message is listed in my app but is never received by the recipient.

Also tried the Samsung default messages app as the default in Google now and it didn't work.
I think I'm the only person with this issue.
This fixed it for me.

Text message read pop up message

I keep getting a pop up asking me to turn on read confirmation option in settings every time I click on a new text message I want to view.
Is there a way to disable this? I currently already have the read confirmation option set to no in settings.
Thank you.
Same here.
I tried deleting cache/data in the messages app and that didn't fix it.
Not the same issue but related - every time I open a group message in the stock messaging app I get this notification at the bottom that "group conversations will be sent as multimedia messages". No idea why it has to do it every single time...

How to deactivate bubbles notification on MIUI 12.5

I have finally got the last MIUI 12.5 update alongside Android 11. Everything was fine except the fact that I cannot remove the bubble notifications.
I have followed all the workaround online but it seems that MIUI rom is slight difference and I cannot find this option:

someone has fixed this?
Download activity launcher, search (with the search button) for notifications, then under the settings app entry, tap on notifications, it will open the settings page.
Xiaomi apparently forgot to enable the page in the settings. There are a couple more hidden settings as well, such as interpolated frames on videos and something with more vivid/hdr like recording of videos.

this is interesting: where can I check these video settings?
anyway I have managed to sort with the bubbles stuff: there is written "manage" under the bubble, so tiny that was impossible to spot. Anyway Xiaomi have to implement the settings because if some are hide then are useless

Just go through the settings app section, I don't remember which setting you need to open, plus I think it only works on the xiaomi video/gallery apps.

hold on, you are telling me to go to settings app section, but earlier you were mentioning to download activity launcher. Is this a third party app? I wouldn't install additional apps but, in case I have to, which app is? I cannot find on Play Store.
Whenever any notification comes, there is More option and.notifications from that app can be directly managed for future

I'm talking about activity launcher, go to the settings app section inside the activity launcher app and open all subsections one by one till you find it.
Here's the app.
ehi, anyway I think I sorted: there is a "manage" option under the bubble which is basically invisible but is there. once you click on that command you can remove bubbles and check other settings.
