Is there one yet? I did a bit of digging but haven't seen it yet and I'm wondering if I just missed it.

I've looked around for a few hours now, every root thread I've found for the N900A are for 4.3. So I unfortunately feel as if my assumption of not being able to get root access on my N900A with 4.4.2 is spot on.
Is this an accurate assumption?
I really just want to lower the screens DPI and remove the AT&T bloat.
I will never buy an AT&T branded phone again.

You are correct. Stock kit Kat can't be rooted currently.
Just look around in this thread. There's 25,000 threads created already about 4.4.2 root. (That there is no root)
Just have to be patient or get a different phone.

Friend of mine recently purchased the Galaxy S4 Active from AT&T here in the states. He asked me to root it, since I've rooted all his previous phones, so I sat down to do so a lil bit ago, and every method that claims it works for the AT&T variant of the GS4 Active running 4.4.2, doesn't seem to work. Tried Towelroot and Active root both. Those are the only two methods I've been able to find, both are from Geohot. What's strange is when I install ActiveRoot and run it, i receive an error saying this method is only for the AT&T Galaxy S4 Active....which is obviously what I am using. So I am at a standstill here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've never had trouble rooting a phone before, and it's bothering my very much so lol

I'm guessing it's on NH3 firmware. Start with the stickied firmware thread. The basics are in there.

Thanks that was very helpful.
Hello. I am new here so please don't hate on me. I have some experience with android phones, I've got a new phone recently, S6 at&t, and I would like to root it. Sadly there's no root method I've found for my base band version. My Model Number is Sm-G920A. And the base band version is G920AUCS4CPF1. I've looked up some root methods for this particular model. I cannot seem to find any. I've only come acrossed one so far, that involves odin, and seems to be a very sketchy website.
I can't post the website due to a prevention system. But if you look up mu base band version it will come up. It wants a premium account for one download. I honestly think this is a joke. If you can help me find a root method for this model then I'd be very happy. Listen, I also know it's very hard to root at&t devices because of how at&t makes the boot loaders. It's hard to impossible sometimes to do much with a at&t phone. Let me know if you find anything.
I'm new so I can't post links but the first one is on a website called Android geeks and I found it after searching att s6 edge root. The other one is on a website called tech chomps. Hopefully they can be found...
Found some website claiming to have hacked kernels capable of root in my annual scouring of the web praying that I can regain control of my phone...should I have hope in this?
Just thought id share my finding here, for anyone passing by please exercise caution when browsing these sites, I know nothing about them and just found them. I am hoping someone on here can drop in about the legitimacy of these sites before I test them.
I haven't heard of those but am doubtful there is root unless it's for devices that are on old software. I just got an s6 edge thats on 6.0.1, no root.
If you want root, don't buy ATT devices. Most T-Mobile devices work on ATT network (with LTE and all), and have unlocked bootloaders allowing root. That is my understanding at least and my experience with the Note 4.

Will a root ever be possible? I'm new to this and is there no chance that I will be able to root my 6.0.1 att s6 edge?

To be honest, I don't know, but I would say odds are better that you wont get root than that you will.
Tomorrow I am receiving the cricket S10 (cyber Monday deals). I can't seem to find much info to see how far it stands apart. A few months ago I briefly had the cricket S9 which I was able to quickly unlock through a third party and pretty easily Odin flash the the international rom. Is that possible or as easy on the S10? Can Anybody with a the cricket version tell me how updates are and if any features are removed?
