Disable and re enable in settings. It fixed this for me
I'm looking for the perfect daily driver. Currently on da-reeseboy's Pac-Rom. I like it, but just wondering if there's anything better. Considering this or Euphoria. Which has the most bugs ironed out?

Does anyone else have baseband unknown? I have lte, 3g, phone signal. So no real complaints accept my baseband is unknown.. Is this worth caring about? (Thanks to the Aug 20th build) I do show a IMEI and everything else under phone status. I came from 39A using freedom tool from micromod after rooting. Worth flashing new baseband?
I'm suffering from the same issue on 8/20.
I get LTE, 3G and phone signal but once I loose LTE I have to toggle APNs and/or airplane mode to be able to get it back.
I flashed the 39A bootstack from xdabbeb resource thread and then the stock 39A before I flashed this official build. Everything works perfectly except that, which is slightly annoying.

Thanks dude I thought it was just me. I do the same APN toggle trick when things go wonky switching networks. I just saw that rashed uploaded bootloaders in the development section http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3173715
LG G2 Bootstacks . I wonder if those are any different. Xdabbebs always downgrade my twrp.. Have you tried these?

I saw those earlier. I have not tried it. And to be completely honest I'm slightly hesitant right now simply because its taken quite some time to get to where I am and since its working I don't wish to mess with my setup. If your brave enough to give it a go and and it works please report back with your steps.
I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm in the same boat as you. If I find the time tonight (and have my lappy available just in case I'm toting or kdzing back to stock) I'll post. Do you think all vs980 users have the same error? Hate to go thru all that just to find out.. CPU z also reports unknown baseband, but I really don't know if it's just simply reading the cm stats.

I'm not sure. I went thru the official thread right now and didn't see anyone post that issue. Guess we will just have to take a chance to find out. I doubt I'll get around to it tonight. But once I do I'll report my findings as well. At least there is at least 2 people suffering from the same thing.

Alright so I said screw it let me take a chance.
Downloaded his bootstack and flashed normally. Rebooted back into recovery to see if it changed twrp but it didn't. Rebooted into ROM which booted just fine and everything seems to be working just fine but unfortunately still shows unknown baseband.
I wonder if that has to do with the LTE cutting out the way it does. Hopefully someone is reading this. I wonder what logs have to be provided.

Lol! You beat me to it. Well, at this point at least we know it's the ROM and not our bootstacks. I can live with the APN toggle crap, but I agree it is extremely annoying. That bug has been around since cm12 to my memory. I went stock for a total of 4 months. I cannot go back. Not sure if the bug is on other ROMs and I doubt it. It's just nice to finally have official support. I'm sure that they are working on it. I see about 3 yahoos in gerrit that seem to be focusing on the g2 (rash included of course).

I stayed on JPC cm11 ROM up until earlier this week and essentially the only reason I came to this now was because I got a replacement device and for the life of me I couldn't get cm11 to work smoothly on this replacement device so I said screw it what better time than to upgrade. So here I am.
Thanks for the heads up tho. Appreciate it.

Anyone else running into this wifi issue? Basically, I cannot connect to WPA2 AES networks.
https code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=78702
(fill in the blanks - apparently I can't post links yet)
Same networks worked without issue in CM11. I tried upgrading to CM12 and then 12.1 over the weekend and ran into this issue on both versions. None of the workarounds in the bug tracker worked for me.
update:
WPA2 AES at home doesn't work (Ruckus R500 AP)
WEP at home works (Ruckus R500 AP)
PEAP MSCHAPv2 at the office works (Cisco hardware)
I'm getting random reboots with this ROM, and every time it boots back up, I lose my data connection. The only way to get data back is a manual reboot. Is there a known solution to this? Thanks

I tried flashing the latest 8/31 nightly, but now I'm stuck in a "process.gapps has stopped" loop and I can't use the phone. Any idea how to revert so I don't have to factory reset?
live GSM/CDMA switching
Has anyone know how to switch between GSM and CDMA in CM 12.1 without reboots?
Personally, before I used XDABBEB's VS980 v3.1.2 and this function works perfectly directly from menu.
On CM 12.1 the only way I manage to switch - by *#*#4636#*#*, and then select "GSM only" or "CDMA only" but it very far away from a stable method since my phone are constantly switching over GSM/CDMA/GSM/CDMA untill I reboot it
P.S. I have GSM SIM in slot, and CDMA are flashed into nvram.

Bluetooth media audio issues
I have connected to multiple Bluetooth devices and I can't get any of them to play media audio. They work fine for calls they just won't play audio through Bluetooth. I clean flashed 10/5 from 39a and I'm currently running 10/14. Same problem on both versions. Any ideas?
Is it me or is next word prediction not working on the keyboard? I get spelling correction suggestions and so forth, but I cannot figure out next word prediction. I toggled on/off with no luck.

I share this with you, I found a rom here on xda, Hybrid Rom, code name "Paranoid" is not a rom with all the options that my rom is AOKP, but focused on the tablet.
This rom is a very interesting option, you can "set" any app to have an individual appearance tablet / smartphone, this is phenomenal (I love it!).
Of course, I included my installation aroma, with applications black and some other options (the same as AOKP).
Personal, remembering that my focus is the segment AOKP original, then things can go wrong, I have not tested for a long time, and will not give much support to this, but I'm sure the majority is working perfectly
I can not stop thanking these guys:
Spleef;
T3bill;
ATRIXXIRTA;
D4rKn3sSyS;
Paranoid Team;
hear everything these guys say, are behind all this too, always helping me with what I need!
I am grateful to all of them, are always where you need them ....

That's a SII rom, why posting it here ? If it's not ported, it's not development.
looks very useful, can you add (or port) this feature to your AOKP?
Nice, will test this out!

I flashed Spleef's version last night and most things seemd to work great.
I have my sim card in another phone so I cant test cell, and data connectivity, but wifi and UI are good.
I noticed that the rom was never going into deep sleep.
I tried flashed the bluesleepfix.zip that usually seems to help with this, and I kept getting System UI force closes.
Im gonna flash leo's and see if there is any noticeable change, mainly with the ability for the rom to "Deep Sleep"
But awesome work guys!
Make me love my atrix more and more!!

Here are some tips and tricks ive figure out on this rom.
1: Stay away from "Global Density" "Default SystemUI DPI" and "Default SystemUI DPI" settings in "paranoid settings"
Messing with these settings caused some systemUI force closes that caused my notification bar to disappear and the only way to get it back was to do a full wipe and re-install. Now to be fair this only happened to me with Spleef's build, and I have yet to test these settings in Leo's build, but I find them pointless, as I will explain.
2: Any change to the UI you want to make can be made easily through the "list apps" setting. Just navigate to the "settings" apk and make the LAYOUT "Tablet." Set the Dpi to 190, and it fits perfect. Any app the you want to be "tablet" moded can done this way as well.
3: Enable "tablet" LAYOUT for nova launcher. Set the DPI to 220. Navigate to "Nova Settins." Go to Destop/Width Margin and set to none. Same with Height Margin. Now go to "Dock" and change the "Width Margin" to none as well.
Now we are able to use all the space on the screen instead of it all being squished together, and you will get the neat tablet "3d blue cube" effect when changing home screens.
Hope this helps, and anything else I figure out ill post.
Good job guys!

Android 4.3.1 - ParanoidAndroid 3.99 RC2
I just wanted unaltered Paranoid Android for my tablet like I have on my phone, but it wasn't available. So, after some hair pulling, and some very gracious guidance from HumberOS and Androguide.fr I built it from source. I've been running it for 3 days now, and haven't noticed anything except the menu soft-button doesn't appear on some apps, but that is an app issue not the ROM, so without further Ado:
Screenshots Attached
And here is are the download links for both devices (make sure to download your device):
AOSPA 3.99-RC2 FW:4.3.1
-MIRROR-
older build: AOSPA 3.69 FW:4.2.2 no GT-N8000 - MIRROR
GApps - MIRROR 1 - MIRROR 2
GApps are not my work, I am merely listing them here for convenience.
WHAT WORKS:
Everything so Far including the S-pen (hence the use of the word Everything).:silly:
BUGS:
NONE:cyclops:
MANY MANY THANKS got to:
ParanoidAndroid Team
CyanogenMOD Team
HumberOS
Androguide.fr
(hopefully thats all if I forgot anybody whose work got rolled in, PM me and I'll add you)
..and of course thanks to anybody who chooses to hit the donate button!!!:highfive:
my source code is here
ParanoidAndroid source code
I am also building for th GT-N8000 before anyone asks it will be at the above link in a few days.
If you like to play with "developer options", go to "About Tablet" in settings and tap build number 7 times to unhide the option,
but it is not necessary for any normal function.
ALL SOUND ISSUES FIXED!!! Now compatible with Awesome Beats v5+
I will be updating ONLY for security updates and version updates. There will be NO NIGHTLY builds. I want to stay married! LOL
Updated to latest version as of 10/27/2013
PLEASE!!!!!! NO PM's ABOUT COMPATIBILITY OR QUESTIONS!
THIS FORUM IS FOR ANSWERING QUESTIONS and the other users can and often will answer your questions faster than I will. Also I ONLY have the GT-N8013 so asking me if it works on any other version of the note 10.1 is futile. I support the N8013 and N8000 because there is official support at Cyanogenmod for them which is what most of PA is based on. any other N80xx device may or may not work. Try if you want it is your risk. If it works I am glad I could give you PA as well and others would love to know SO POST.
Most things seem to work fine but I had no sound.

What flashing process did you use, so that others might follow? Did you do a complete wipe, or just flash over an existing ROM. Several people are telling me they have no sound. I am checking the source code now to find the bug, but a work around would be nice in the meantime.

Those without sound,
Please check under sound settings you have a notification tone set.
I have a M7, and on PAC when installing now it does not have a default set, so when my mobile rang, had nothing...lol
Learnt that the hard way,

The only sound problem that I had was when i do video recording (the sound not recorded) and the 2nd problem my battery level not working..and when I plug in the charger there is no charging status...anyone with the same problem...

Sound issue
@Tattoo_Paul,
Sorry for delay.
I will check the sound issue today later.
Btw, nice work dude!
Congras!
------------------
Edited:
I saw that you solved it!
Nice!
Sound IS working on all build!
Sound is working on all n8013 builds now! Redownload the rom. If you have no sound you have an old copy of the rom.
As for the n8000 builds showing a question mark for the battery, its a kernel issue, that should be resolved shortly.
As for n8010 compatibility, I DON'T KNOW! Usually n8013 and n8010 roms are mostly compatible, but I take know responsibility for your device should you choose to flash this rom.
Just for the knoeledge base, the sound issue was caused by a misnamed file. system/etc/sound should contain a file named n8013 (or n8000) when compiled it was named GT-N8013. Rename it to n8013 (with lowercase n) and all sound turns on. If that doesn't turn on all your sound, you have other issues not caused by this rom.
Paul
I hope that clears things up, Because people keep PMing me asking sound works now. I thought the big bold red letters saying sound works would do it.
Halo is a pain if you accidently turn it on

Battery display issue
I am experiencing the same issue with the display of the battery..
As you mentioned that this is a kernel issue, will it be a workaround to flash another kernel or am I wrong ?
Cheers !
BTW : testing the ROM, so only this little glitch noticed for now... SOUND IS WORKING (in case people still do not know...)
My issue with the new build is that nav bar at the bottom is like a centimeter big, no joke. Also the keyboard fcs on boot. Idk if I installed wrong or what, some input would be awesome. Also, question. When installing, it says "installing update". Does that mean we can flash the new builds over the previous ones?

Don't know if this is related, but on my GS3 I installed a 4.2 gapps on a 4.3 CM 10.2 rom and had wonky problems like that. Make sure you are using a 4.3 gapps. Especially F/C keyboard issues. Only problem I am having with this rom is the battery percentage not working.
Hey guys I am having alittle dilemma.
I had my Verizon LG G2 since february, and the phone worked wonders. I just yesterday had mahdi rom on my phone and everything worked great. i wanted to try something new So I put on Cloudy g3 1.2 and didnt like it much so I tried to go back to mahdi and kept failing. not sure why.
So I did a tot factory restore and for the life of me I cant get back knock on. I tried doing the tot a few times, and still no knock on. I put cloudy g3 back on and the knock code works great. I checked the screen to see if there are any dead spors. There are none. Is there a way to update my firmware for touchscreen or what could have caused this? could it be because I left cloudy g3 on right when I did a tot and some how messed it up because I had the knock code on? I am dumb founded this phone worked wonders. I called verizon and lg yesterday and they both said its a known issue and they cant really set up for a replacement because its a "known issue".
Any help will be helpful. Thanks.
*Edit: I just turned off the knock code to see if my knock on works, and it does. So now what I am thinking is that since I did a tot with the knock code on, it disabled the knock on. I will test a stock rom or aosp rom to see if its correct.
I'm kind of having the same issue. I flashed an aosp ROM and then decided to go back to a stock based ROM. None of the stock based ROMs have knock on working for me. It works fine on aosp or cloudyg3. But no others.
I've tried everything and am going crazy.
Any suggestions??
Me to idk. Worked last night till i did a tot last night and now it doesnt. So no stock rom works for you. Like no knock on?
No stock ROM has knock on working. I flashed carbon which is aosp and its fine. Even went to a backup where I knew it was working. I tired to update the touch software by using the code in other threads but its not workibf

Yeah I tried that too. Not sure whats going on. When did you get the phone?
I had an issue with my original and was just sent a replacement. Seems like that's when it started. Not a biggie. I guess I'll just stick with aosp for now.

I just tested the knock on for g3 and it works great. I turned off knock code and the knock on works fine.
I am going to test tonight with rageRom and see how that works.

Did yoy freeze anything with titanium
Figured it out. I installed a themed google keyboard that I got from XDA. When I switch back to stock it goes away. Since I know it is just the keyboard I'm OK with it.

Awesome!! I've tried all the "fixes" reported online but nothing seems to have worked. Let me know what you come up with. fingers crossed!!
It's gotta be a software issue if it is working on g3 and AOSP roms

Nothing..It didnt work......i am wondering does a different kernal may fix this?
I found a repair but need to find a stock kit Kat vs980 kernel
Not sure. I'm using cloudyg3 now and its money. Might just keep that. If you try a different kernel and it works let me know.
I know it's not a hardware issue because knock on is working on aosp and g3 Roms.

Sweet. Downloading right now. Will post results.
Up and running and so far so good the ROM is amazing especially with a Lollipop theme on. For some reason the camera likes to have a greenish overlay with the front camera and crashes using the denoise function will try 3rd party.
Tried Google camera and also has greenish effect on front camera which is weird

I guess it just doesn't play nice with my in-dorm light. College dorm lights aren't exactly of good quality lol. This is the only time I've seen it though since I don't usually run CM based ROMs. I'll just write it up as a CM problem on this device since we all know the camera doesn't operate the same. Guess this ROM is perfect then good job [emoji1].
If anyone has problems connecting to sprint service go to mobile network and under Access Point Names change it to one of the Sprint ones. It switched to boost on its own once but hasn't happened since.

Just for u guys that are curious how battery life is, haven't been able to give a report on normal use since I start playing games on my phone and they destroy the battery on this device in general but I was using my phone for the passed hour or so without gaming and this is how it is so far. I'll try to limit myself tomorrow and only use my phone to browse the internet and Tapatalk but no games and I'll let u guys know how it turns out. So far looks very promising.

Holy crap. I usually only get around 4 to 5 hours of screen on time depending on the brightness even when only reddit/browsing. That is pretty awesome for 45 minutes of screen on time.
I might just have to flash this.
Been running this for almost a week now and am discovering it isn't tracking mobile data usage at all, only my wifi usage.
Is this a bug or some setting I overlooked?
Is there a specific radio that should be used with this rom? I keep losing data connectivity. I'll still be connected to the network and can make phone calls, but no 3g / lte data. I tried re-flashing the radio for the base I'm on, that has helped before when moving from sense or aosp roms but it didn't do anything.
I should note that data does work at first but after a half day or more sometimes it'll just be gone. I have not tried any other aosp roms lately, just this one.
It's very strange, it'll say connected via lte in the settings and show signal but no data....
I just restored a backup of a sense rom I did this morning and it's working fine.

Awesome.. Quick question. Has the camera been fixed? Or is there a fix? I've tried all the stock Android available for this phone even the latest nightly on cm13. But seems like when in camera and you toggle back and forth between camera and video the interface has a green line on the left side and discoloration. But when you take a picture or video it works fine.
Nice! Thank you! Had to flash SuperSU 2.68 to have root, no biggie though.

No Wi-Fi calling. Currently that seems to be a stock feature only. Looks like that would probably need to be built from the ground up.

Thanks for your quick response - I figured as much, but was hopeful
Do you know if there are any developers that are currently working on this function? I know it's pretty limited in it's availability per provider/device, but this would be a great feature to have. It's the one feature that CM or this ROM is missing that's stopping me from trying them out.

I'm not in a bad cell area - but my in-laws have 0 TMo signal out at their place. And we are there pretty often, so my battery drains like crazy while it searches for a cell signal. The only way I can make/take a call is via the wifi calling feature while there unfortunately.

Are they actually working on it? I keep seeing "you probably won't see support for this" - looks like they're only getting it to work for Nexus devices if I was reading correctly. Unfortunately i can't cite my sources currently.
Another bug I found was NfcService:mRoutingWakeLock. It's contantly keeping the phone awake. Looked this up and there might need to be a folder in, "/data/data/com.android.nfc" called shared_prefs but it is not there on my phone. I am not able to switch off NFC in settings as it is grayed out. I have stopped/disabled the three NFC services, "BeamRecieveService", "BeamSendService", and "PeripheralHandoverService". And this service still persists! Crazy!
Thank you. Other than that, I really like this ROM.
