Hello everyone,
I tried looking for a solution to this problem, but either can't understand the suggestions or it doesn't really fit with my situation...
For some reason I managed to soft brick my TF701, trying to go back to stock after a CM install.
Anyways, I get stuck on the ASUS logo. I can access fastboot buf if I select RCK I get an error message. I can also connect in APX.
Any ideas on how I could flash a ROM on this device?
Many thanks in advance and sorry if there was an answer somewhere I missed...
I feel a bit ashamed now, I actually found a solution on my own and it wasn't that hard...
My main issue was not being able to access recovery. So I ended up doing the recommended steps here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425581
up to the flash part and instead flashed this version of CWM
http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=3568
This actually got me a working recovery, which I used to successfully flash a rom and my tablet is running again, as well as recovery mode.
Sorry for the thread, I could have managed on my own. If there's a way to delete it?

Hello,
I have a nexus one that isn't working anymore. I was trying to install the cyanogenmod, but I guess I didn't do it correctly.
I was following the clockworkmod way from this: h t t p ://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Nexus_One:_Full_Update_Guide
When flashing the rom something went wrong. After step 6 my phone didnt reboot, it just stayed off. Now it will only give me the nexus sign if i turn on the phone.
I can still acces the recovery menu when holding Power + volume down.
People told that I should go back to the stock rom.
Can anybody please help me?
*don't know if i've posted in the right category
When you get to recovery is it still clockwork or stock? If clockwork then try and flash cm6 again. If not you will have to download a stock rom push it to the sdcard as an update.zip and boot into the boot loader.
Sent from my Galaxy Tab, that makes phone calls
Since you can boot into recovery you have NOT bricked it for sure
As mentioned in the earlier post try to flash the CM ROM again
If you are unable to access the custom recovery (as in, the stock recovery is still in place), you can follow the manual instructions for installing ClockworkMod: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Nexus_One:_Full_Update_Guide#Manual_Method
You can then follow the procedure for flashing the appropriate radio image: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.p...ll_Update_Guide#ClockworkMod_Recovery_process
And you can even install the ROM without using Rom Manager using this process: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.p...Update_Guide#Second_Method_.28via_Recovery.29
All of this is, as I'm sure you've noticed, posted on the same page that you linked. Hopefully this information will help you, now that you have been assured that your phone is not bricked.
Thanks for quick replies. I've contacted a guy with a lot of knowledge about these kind of thinks and helped me fixing me phone. I dont know exactly what went down but I will give it a try.
My first mistake was thinking that I rooted my phone (using the one click method). Don't know if thats the right way to do it, but in the end it wasn't rooted and I tought it was.
The guy rooted my phone, did the AmonRa recovery install and installed the Ethernom Rom for me. Great to have my phone back to working and great Rom btw.
Hello, I know simulair threads have been made. But this problem is more specific.
A friend of mine has bought, even I told him not too, the ACE-i. He was very happy with it and looked for a way to root it. He did it by applying a file with his recovery. The phone rebooted and didn't start (stuck on bootscreen). He can't get into download mode, withs sucks. However, recovery is ACEssible, so I tried (after he did) to install a custom rom. It didn't work. Then I tried to format system, but there was a mount error. I discovered that the system isn't accessible. Is there a way to fix this guy's phone?

So, the real problem here is that you can't access Download mode, because if you could, you could reflash stock rom. I've found someone that had that problem, and solved it:
Here
There are lots of solutions there, hope they work!!
Press Thanks button if helped.
Hey guys,
Long time reader and flasher, first time poster.
I just recently made a huge mistake (lack of sleep) and loaded Android Revolution HD for i9500 on my i9305.
I don't know what I was thinking, like I said lack of sleep. Anyway I went through with the process and got to a prompt asking to install SuperUser from the Recovery after Android Revolution successfully installed.
The device then rebooted and has been stuck at the Downloading... screen, I have tried rebooting into Recovery mode, it just goes to the same screen. I can boot into odin mode.
I have tried using heimdall to flash the recovery with something else. But I keep getting the following error: ERROR: Protocol initialisation failed!
I'm having a stab in the dark but I am guessing I have stuffed the partition tables or lost the IMEI.
I have done about 3 hours googling and searching theses forums and can't find an answer.
I have given up and was hoping someone could help me.
P.s. I'm running Ubuntu on my PC and do not have access to a windows or mac system.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Please Delete, I have fixed the problem.
I have no idea why it all of a sudden worked... but it did yay!
Thanks in advance
Does it boot into download mode?
Thats good, i was just going to say that if you can get into download mode then you should be able to flash the stock rom back
I have messed my new Mot G 5inch 2nd generation phone up really bad
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I unlocked the bootloader then tried (unsuccessfully) to root. It just wouldn't take on any method I tried.
So I had the great idea to reinstall the firmware (in the hope that a clean install would help), following this guide here... http://techtrickz.com/how-to/how-to...irmware-on-2nd-gen-moto-g-2014/#comment-16531.
While I was going down the cmd list it failed on boot and recovery giving me the error 'hab check failed for boot’ (and the same for recovery.
I carried on down the list as I was stuck now and when I've rebooted the 'unlocked' page comes up but then all that happens is the screen flickers on/off with nothing else happening.
I got into recovery once (green man with triangle) and noticed that adb sideloading was there if that helps.
I'm in the uk.
any help would be massively appreciated.
i don't know anything about the phone in question as i have the first one. all i can say is have you tried going to @rootjunky;s site and ask him if maybe he can help you. i think he has already rooted and installed custom recovery. worth a shot. he is pretty good. any way good luck.
If you can boot into the bootloader, here is a guide that will help you out.

Kindly correct the title. Exclamation mark doesn't clarify what you are trying to ask. Some users may just ignore your post if you Title your threads like this.
Cam you boot into bootloader? (power + volume down) if yes try flashing a recovery downloaded from here. If that works too, try downloading a rom, copying it to USB storage (by mounting via recovery) and flashing that
Hi there,
I got a bricked G5S+, which I reported in another thread already.
It was booting, showing the blue Motorola screen but ended up with a lying down android with a red questionmark and saying 'no command'.
That happened after I rebootet the cellphone for a longer time.
I read through a couple of threads and finally decided, I need to flash stock again.
I did not have switched on USB debugging and so on, as the phone was quite new to me and now cannot access android anymore to do so.
Anyway I thought: fine: I will just flash the stock OS again taking care of the software defect.
After having had some issues I flashed Sanders (SANDERS_NPS26.116-26_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml) following that thread here:
https://animetrick.com/flash-stock-rom-moto-g5s-plus-locked-bootloader-2018/
It is quite similar as this thread, which deals with installing a stock OS to a bootloader-locked phone:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/solution-to-flash-stock-romfactory-t3691396
The thing is I followed all steps but still get the same error:
A lying down android with a red questionmark and saying 'no command'.
Does anyone have an idea what else to try?
I am not aversed to install a custom Rom, such as the official RR v6.0.0, but I have no idea how to do so with a currently bricked phone.
Maybe you guys have a solution for me to unbrick and finally use my phone again.
Thanks a lot!
Regards from Germany
Matt
Hey bro Im not sure if you still need help but, if so can you try to boot into a recovery?
Hi Carlos,
yes I still need help.
I can boot into recovery. And fastboot runs and detects the phone, too.
Any idea what I can do?
Go ahead and download twrp from the Roms sections and also begin the process to unlock the boot loader, we can see if it still can be done without having enabled the setting in the developer sections, and if so we can either then flash the recovery and a custom rom or install stock again.
Sent from my iDevice running Smoothshake v11.3.1
I solved my problem:
It was the SD card. I cannot believe it.
I got myself another G5S Plus and swapped everything:
Same issue.
So I removed the memory card and all good again.
There is no need anymore to install a custom rom (at least not currently )
I am quite sad though not having figured that out earlier, becoz all my data is lost now....
Thanks for your help though!
I have fallen into same issue, i cannot install any custom rom or recovery to it but i can access fastboot & one recovery that has update via adb sideload / sd card but nothing works, shows failed line 2 error / install aborted .
the device just showing oem locked in fastboot & rom install or recovery install fails & says cause too many links
the phone starts & stucks after the motorola logo
anybody with any idea?
