What is Omni?
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there. Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

I haven't been able to find any, but I'll test LED control apps to see if any work on non-stock ROMs.
Camera? Is the camera working as it is on the stock ROM? The only reason I am not going for the custom ROMs is the camera.
I didn't notice it at first because I do not make a lot of calls.
When I call someone, I hear no dial tone but the other person's phone rings. After a while I would hang up because I hear nothing.
There are no problems whatsoever with incoming calls.
I am only using sim1.
Did anybody else have the same issue?

A little over a month ago we made a promise, get us an HTC Incredible and we will give you a Rom. You, our fans and supporters came together and got us that phone. Today marks a major event for us and for you as well, for all of you that have donated and supported us we now give you Ruby, for the HTC Incredible! and for us it means we have now gone multi-device! We have been known all this time as the Sapphire Rom and this has always been incorrect, from here on out we will be known as Crystal Clear Roms(CCRoms), and each device will be its own specific gem in our lineup.

For Ruby we don't want to just straight port our original Sapphire rom to the Incredible, but that isn't a bad place to start. All standard features such as internal storage, camera, mms, sms, everything else you would expect to work does plus what has been added already to Sapphire. More phone specific optimizations will be added in the future, such as trackball wake, etc.

For all of you Sapphire users out there we haven't forgotten about you either. With this release you will see a refining of the volume rocker music skipping. We have incorporated the modifications from Alankila for Digital Signal Processing, makes for some pretty awesome music! Stagefright has been re-enabled, and all of the kernels now have the new interactive governer as an option in SetCPU as well.

Enjoy everyone!
With this being our first release on this forum, now that i have the time, i want to give everyone a little information about the best way to report bugs and get in touch with us , the makers of Ruby and Sapphire.
We release on between 8 and 10 forums for every major release, to keep up to date on what is happening at any given time you can visit our website or come chat on IRC.

we are working hard to produce a .1 release for ruby with the following fixes

No 720P recording
Emmc internal storage issues(may be fixed in a future release) (fixed)
BlueTooth (fixed)

Yup going to give it a try, sounds like a tump over CM 6.0.1 right now especially if you have internal memory mounted and reporting to where we can use it. Any news on the Kernel? Got anything special to pass along about it as far as OCing or battery saving features / performance features?
Anyone able to get GPS working? After installing maps, it won't pinpoint my location, closest I can get is to within about 1200 meters.
Great looking rom. I really like it. It has the same issues Cyanogen has for those keeping score: Apps don't scan the built in 8gb for files. (you can get to them through file managers, but your music/pics won't be found). Also BT streaming audio doesn't work. Otherwise though, top notch!! Also for some reason my phone think's it's Roaming?
Is Gmail FC for anyone else? I can't seem to access it at all... That is definitely not good for me..
I installed the Gapps and the phone stuck at the splash screen. Reinstalling the ROM / Apps now going to see if it will let me boot.

Oxygen v2.3 was released today. Check it out at the Oxygen forum:
Link updated for 2.3.2:
http://forum.oxygen.im/viewtopic.php?id=1476
"Well ICS is only around the corner now but Google has decided to drop the code for 2.3.7 GWK74 before it's release, this update mainly just brings a number of bug fixes to Android.
Work is still ongoing behind the scenes to bring new features to Oxygen which you will see in the next version, however for now we have applied the latest upstream patches and also updated Superuser to v3.0, the Theme Chooser is now gone as we have no plans to port support for it to ICS."

Added compact carrier
Added croation dictionary
Added customized Launcher2 with plenty of new options and enhancements
Added option to turn off volume button music controls
Added swipe-to-clear notifications
Decreased bootup time
Improved lock screen animation
Improved media scanner, now scans all external volumes (/emmc & /sdcard)
Removed FM support
Removed useless wallpapers consuming 6.5MB
Reverted back to old battery percentage
Device specific changelog
Device specific settings menu added for NS & SGS2
Fixed battery drain on SGS2
Updated kernels for all devices
I have nothing to do with this ROM, just alerting XDA folks of the update. Oxygen is one of the most stable Nexus S ROMs out there.
EDIT: Oxygen comes with notification bar widgets, reboot menu, etc. Thanks AdamG.

Nice new rom to play with.
Just a few errors in the OP, not sure if you noticed them yet...
New power mwnu from SlimRoms;
Lockscreen tragets and shortcuts from SlimRoms;
Lockascreen PIN key pad shuffler;
Regardless, it's great to see another ROM to play around with!
Ok will fix them., thanks mate.
In the other hand im having Internet issues and the upload got cancelled 3 times already for slow upload. Will do tomorrow if i dont get an update done before uploading with lots of more options to play with.

Soo... are you SVLan with a different name? I noticed SVLan is no longer the OP for PureSpeedX. Just curious. I'm running PureSpeedX and it is the fastest, best battery life ROM that has ever existed for the AHD, so if this is from the same guy, I can't wait to play with it. Can we expect that kind of speed? If we have that kind of speed and halfway comparable battery life along with customizations like you have here, this will be insane. I get easily 2 work days worth of medium use out of PSX. That's unheard of for any android really. Anyways, can't wait to test it out, especially the active notifications. Will be flashing ASAP.
Yes im the same guy.
About this rom, this version is not compare in speed and battery life as CM11 is know to drain battery faster the stock kitkat. But for the options and display animations this one have is very responsive. Will get way better on the coming update soon
The ROM looks good
Very nice customizations, smooth, can't say about battery life yet

Well, I figured that much. CM always uses more battery than AOSP, but when you get two days of battery life, I'd gladly sacrifice half that for customization lol. CM has never hit the battery enough to cause a problem, so if I can get two days out of PSX, surely I can get one day out of this easily. Still can't wait to try it out! Thanks!
Problems with keyboard with swipe and immediately closes with no error, problems with signal sometimes drops it all with no network. Airplane mode fixes it for a little. No vibration feedback anywhere except navigation bar.
Is it just me or is the gapps link not working??

Well i installed this ROM late last night and i have to say i'm really liking it a lot . Everything is quick and snappy performance wise and there are lots of customisation options. I think this could be my new favourite ROM! Only problems i have noticed is the ringtone preview doesnt work- when your choosing a ringtone there is no preview sound. Also, google play music and appolo wont play any music? Everything else appears fine but i will of course report back if i find anything.

I'm thinking about giving this a try tonight. I have tried both CM11 and Gummy through 8/1 builds and have been frustrated with weaker radio signal strength than stock, inconsistent wifi connectivity and not being able to use GPS for navigation. Can you tell me if these issues are also present in Spirit?

Thanks!
Now I'm curious as to whether or not the wifi and bluetooth strangeness persists...
Looks like the wifi issue is the same as well. I need more consistency with wifi so I went back to stock for now. So far, Gummy had the best wifi performance but still not great. Hopefully the radio problems will be corrected in later builds.

Totally agreed, this ROM is awesome and I'm sure it's only gonna get better. In addition to the bugs you mentioned, I'm also having trouble regarding the microphone not working when turning speakerphone on and off. I've read that this is a CM issue, but just wanted to confirm that it's also happening here. Nonetheless, great work on this ROM, just hope the microphone issue gets resolves sometime soon.

No public release is available yet soon though, after I do some more speed tweaks and stuff.
I was wondering; would a remap of the G button to a lockscreen thingy or something be of use for you guys?
EDIT: Done, remapped to POWER WAKE just because some of you guys have the power button effed up.
Sounds great !!

It would be great. My power button is so hard to press now that would be great.

Done, works flawlessly on the ROM, been using it for a day now Mine is screwed up too haha
Notice
Answering to PMs: I will surely not be adding entropy generators; they are no more than just a placebo effect. In fact, they drain your battery and keep the CPU awake. Entropy is barely used by any service, only ones I know are libcrypto and SSL, etc. Refer to this: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/entropy-seed-generator-not-all-its-hacked-up-to-be/
Update
I tried the A2 build... with many build.prop tweaks and moar loopy smoothness... AMAZINGLY FAST. No bias, it's smooth a'f. Now I'm going to add a mediaserver killer init script to stop the Downloads app battery drain and excessive CPU usage.
Release date 31/10/2014...???
Please provide before that if possible.
Please try to provide inbuilt power off, reboot in quick tile.
As my power button is also harder to press. Hope u will also try to do something, so that portable hotspot will work.
Thanks.
Sent from my LG-P970 using xdate app.
It will definitely release before seeing the speed. And I will see... Remember this is a lightweight performance ROM so the modifications/addons will be core/light.
I'll see.
Hey guys! I got great news!
Here's a teaser for what's coming.
Tell me what you think's gonna happen... more lightweightness? If I pull this off most possibly.
This could be the ROM I was waiting for.
Hope you can beat Mystery-M
Mystery-M's rom is amazing
i hope you can beat it...
i like the idea of lightweight
always wanted something like that
Good Job
It is lightweight and fast. I will see. I assure you it is fast. My phone averages at 170+ RAM free and I got some pretty good benchmarks.
When you give us download link?

RIght now I'm working on porting clean CM11 and rebasing the rom with it. So it'll take time... Meanwhile, looking for 5 testers, that I can TRUST. They will be given Aeroi A2 for testing. PM if interested.
NOTICE.
Here's a little announcement:
To all those who are annoying me, rushing me, and pissing me off privately,
I am not your slave. I am not paid for this. I am spending my weekend to develop this for you.
Look at all the work I've done on a f*ckin' Saturday:
https://github.com/Alphapixels
All this trying to make CM even compile. So don't dare send me a PM again (you know exactly who you are), or I'll stop developing this and move on
to another device (I have a Galaxy Tab 2 and I'm pretty sure they'd love an update to KK with Aeroi).

These kids, they never really learn. They've done the same to to Evi, just block them. Just go on, no need to rush things up as long as you end up having a perfectly lightweight KK rom, been waiting for this kind of ROM for years.
