Would anyone know of any method or app that allows you to debloat xperia z Lollipop?
Btw, if I'm coming from a rooted 4.4.4 and upgrading it to Lollipop firmware, do I have to root again?

1-if you mean to remove the bloatware, then yes but you have to root your device
2-yes you have to root but its very simple here's a guide http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html?m=1 first you root with kingroot(if you want you can keep kingroot) and then you follow this guide for supersu

the app is: System app remover
no since you have rooted your phone you wont be able to update via OTA, you can only use pc companion and flashtool
PS: kingroot is a chinese app and has quite some bloatware as well. I strongly advise that you install supersu, by doing so you will also be able to install a recovery later

Hi,
I would like to ask how can I root my Xperia zr with a locked bootloader and a stock ROM running Android 4.3? It was updated via PCcompanion without any previous root/unlock bootloader.
Thanks.

You can use the procedure described in this thread. You will need to downgrade to .310 to root your phone for the TA backup before unlocking the bootloader.
Or you can may be follow this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590174
so you don't need to unlock the bootloader...
I upgrade my 5503 following this thread and everything is fine.:good:

Hi,
Do I still need to downgrade to 310 to root my phone .and then use flashtool to flash my phone?
No! Google for towelroot, download the apk, run it and install supersu from the play store and you are done!
towelroot
Install towelroot better google it and download apk
Hi everyone,
So i have an xperia z1 on 14.3.A.0.757. Vanilla, not rooted, havnt unlocked bootloader.
I would love to get Xposed Framework but i have been searching all over the interwebs but its so unclear.
Could someone explain to me EXACTLY what needs to be done to get from vanilla to xposed? And how i would go about doing this, the easiest way! Any links to good explanations and step by step guides which are safe would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Marcel
Root, then install it like a normal APK.
If you are unsure how to root, look in my signature

Is there any way to root the phone without it being wiped?
Not from a 757 firmware.
You can try excluding data when using flashtool, but I wouldn't do that.
However, if you can update to 4.4.4 via pccompanion you will not lose data and you can root that very easily without losing data using newroot

wait so i am on 4.4.4 and updated to it via pccompanion, does that mean there is alternative root method which means no loss of data? I heard bout some towelroot thing, does that exist for the Xperia Z1?
Yes there is, what build number are you on, you said 757, but that's not 4.4.4
Please post what it says in the build number and android version from settings/about phone

4.4.2 (woops thought i was on 4.4.4....)
14.3.A.0.757
OK, you will probably lose data when rooting then.
Flash a FTF from the FTF mega collection that ends in .108 or .118
then use the newroot tool to root it

Because you cannot root 757 FW
Either downgrade to android 4.2 (i.e a firmware ending in .534) or upgrade to the latest android version 4.4.4 (ending in .108 or .118) and root it.
Hi,
Is there anyone have lollipop kernel for Xperia zr(c5502).I want to root my phone through flash my phone to kitkat kernel and after rooting my phone I'll flash back to lollipop kernel. If anyone don't have the lollipop kernel then please tell me how to get kernel from ftf file.
If you want to root just use the kingroot new version. There a guide in this forum. is it really works if rooting with flash the kernel??

I have tried kingoroot's latest version and it didn't work for me.So I want to try rooting my device in old way. When my device was in Kitkat 4.4.4 version I couldn't root it because easy rooting method was only available for kitkat 4.4.2,So I used 4.4.2 kernel to root my 4.4.4 kitkat updated device. This is why I want lollipop kernel for my device.Easy rooting instruction-“flash kitkat 4.4.2 kernel>use towelroot to root your device>after that again flash lollipop 5.0.2 kernel", that's all.Now you can have root access in your device.
Don't think so when i tried to flash 230 "4.4.2" kernel to root it it failed i got boot loop after flashing it and even after flashing the 454 kernel it still there and i had to flash the L Rom again

So what to do then?I need to root my phone and there is no way to easily root lollipop. So that easy rooting method was only available for kitkat version only?

How can Root Xperia Z1 C6902 Lollipop 5.1.1 without pre-rooted rom. Is there other methods to root my Xperia Z1 C6902 Lollipop 5.1.1 . My xperia is installed with orginal Lollipop 5.1.1 stock rom. I want to root it. But i don't need Pre-rooted Rom, is there any method for rooting it. And also i don't want to downgrade it for rooting.
wait till kingroot
either unlock your bootloader or wait for a exploit
I really hope not.
Every Android version has a root exploit, that is a nightmare for security, this has to stop...
just my 2cents, in general you should be glad if there is none
Are you sure you have access to /system ?

No there isn't. towelroot is super old and doesn't work with 5.1.1, and there is no one-click method for 5.1.1 on the Z1. Only pre-rooted flashable zips are working right now.
Please don't give advice if you don't actually know what you're talking about ...
@ubrider you don't need to be rude - I suggest you delete your comment for your own sake.
As of the moment, there are no known 1-click root process for Xperia Z1 running 5.1.1 Lollipop. You can however downgrade your phone to Kitkat by flashing a Kitkat FTF using Flashtool. You can also downgrade to 5.0.2 and root it using Kingroot which is a 1-click rooting process. Once you have gained root access you can replace Kingroot with SuperSU if you want, install a custom recovery then install a pre-rooted 5.1.1
@ubrider, If you have solid proof that there really is an existing 1-click root process for our Xperia Z1 running 5.1.1., please share it to the community. This is what I get: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=Sony+Xperia+Z1+5.1.1+root
Please, stay on topic. If you don't have anything constructive or polite to contribute, do not post. If you have a problem with another user, please ignore them, use the report button and allow the moderators to handle it, or deal with it yourselves via private message.
You can create your own pre-rooted 5.1.1 firmware with prf creator, from yours ftf. Then flash back to 5.0.2 without wiping data root with any oneclickroot solution that suits you and have a superuser or supersu.
And install xzdualrecovery. Then flash your pre-rooted firmware w/o wiping data.
This way you won't lose your apps data and won't need to unlock bootloader.
That was what I did installed xposed etc. No problems faced.
Or you can wait till kingroot updates it's all up to you
Finally the one click method is here.....

If you have received an OTA dont install it. You will lose root. As suggested, download a custom ROM and install. Its more fun like that!
