Downloads keep deleting themselves - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, this is my first post here.
Like I said in the title, my downloads keep disappearing. For exapmle, If I download a PDF File, I can see and open it in the normal "Downloads "application. But the next day all my downloads are gone. I couldnt find a setting to change this.
I have the xperia z3 compact running the newest Lollipop.
Thanks in advance

See if you can find the files in the Download folder of your internal storage

App location question?

Hello,
I have not been able to find a direct answer on this. Hope I am posting it in right section.
Some time ago a friend gave me an .apk file which was an app that is/was supposedly no longer in android market.
I have two tab's and downloaded an app which I can no longer find in the android market.
Where are the app's located and can I copy it and email it to my self; the .apk file?
Thanks.
Moving to Q&A (the clue was in the title )
PS.
Welcome to XDA
Apps get installed in either the system\app folder or the data\app folder.

GS3 4G Aussie

Hi guys wondering if anyone is able to help ....
I just bought a SONT head unit with Mirror Link Tech ... Unfortunatly Samsung in there infinite wisdom have not release Drive Link to Australia yet ( nor USA and Canada i believe ) ....
I have managed to find the APK file and get that onto the SD card. I downloaded an APK installer however this is where i have no idea ...
I tries to install however i can an error that says " X Application Not Installed "
Do i have to "mod" the phone first ?
Any helkp in resolving this issue is greatly appreciated
This should be in Q&A but I have installed drivelink. You need to download it from the samsung app store its available in there and you don't need a modded or rooted phone to download it

Youtube issue unsupported video format

Hello, guys/gals
I recently installed Omar-Avelar Rom update from 6/9/2013 but now it is giving me an issue with youtube. I am new here so it will not let me post in the development forum just yet, I am hoping to get some help here.
I did an upgrade from the previous Rom and also a fresh install but the issue persist.
When I open up the youtube app, it'll either give me an " Unsupported video format " error or if it does not give me that, it'll just encounter an error and close before the video plays.
I am able to view videos through the mobile site, just not through the app.
I have installed the apk (delete the origina/replace) but it is still giving me the issue.
Would someone be able to help me figure out what's going on here?

One: its set to private, so we cant check it out anyway.
Two: if its Kingoroot dont even bother posting it here.
Otherwise id be happy to check it out, I have an old pc I use as a sandbox for anything shady, I let the viruses have it then just format and imge restore it periodically.

Its just KingoRoot.
The .exe has a different name, but it does the same thing: it tries to send info to another country, and it wont proceed with rooting unless you allow it internet access. Sandboxing it to a local network doesnt work either, it has to confirm contact with the mothership.
This same program is being promoted on forums and sites all over the net, it shows up with the name changed, even packed in zips with padding files so it shows as a different size. Someone is trying real hard to get this into wide distribution.

it just want to download drivers and so on.
however, here is ripped and repackaged kingoroot, anti-Ric included too : http://rghost.net/50376561
just unpack archive in any directory, enable usb debugging, install adb drivers, then run root.cmd
it looks like this stuff working on most ( if not all ) latest 4.x firmwares
Kingoroot....This has been removed before because of suspicious activity!

I found this out yesterday...you need the NFC services app
You can get the app from another rom - I downloaded existanz (as I plan to try it at some point) and got it from there.
Use a root file explorer to navigate to system/app and paste the app there. Set it's permissions correctly (the same as every other app in this folder) and reboot.
Sorry I can't help with the file, it's on my phone but I used a buggy recovery today and have wiped my boot.img - won't be able to repair it until I get home.

I've tried yet, but didn't work for me. I really think this app is deleted because it doesn't appear in the settings menu too.
@ Parkside : goode idea, i will try to find it in other rom, thanks
Edit : my problem is solved, just take the NFC app from another rom and copy this with a root file explorer with correct permissions
