Has there been any info on how to get accepted into the Samsung Pay beta trial that's going to start on August 25th in the US?
It was my understanding that the closed beta is underway now. The 8/25 date is the Korean roll,out of the full version.
No, the Korean beta test has been happening since last month. The full Korea roll out is 8/20. There's a "limited beta test" for US beginning 8/25 as OP stated. I haven't been able to find any details either tho about this beta test. 9/28 will be full US roll out.

I've found the link to be able to download the Samsung Pay Beta .apk file but I haven't figured out how to get it to install. Does someone else want to try? I'm stuck on a Samsung S6 Edge running 5.0.2. I wonder if you have to have 5.1.1 to run it.

I tried both of those links and neither one will allow me to download an APK file.

Did it let you do anything? Samsung Pay app is already on Note 5 but won't let me do anything, just says coming soon.
Cool! it would be great if somebody in the US had a good way to get this going early.

The app that is already on the Note 5 or Edge+ is just a place holder. Download the attached .apk file above and you'll be able to at least get to the screen with a start button, but no one has gotten past that as far as I know. It seems like Samsung almost has to authorize your Samsung ID before you can use it.

I called them this morning and they told me the beta starts tomorrow and that it is by invitation only. So it may not work unless they allow your Samsung ID to have access. Guess we should at least have a few people that start to have access tomorrow sometime.
I called again today and they told me to download the Samsung Plus app from the Google playstore. I downloaded it agreed to the terms and logged in and then inside the app there was a link that said "Join Samsung Pay Beta". So far it doesn't do anything, but it seems promising that it might work tomorrow after the beta has officially begun.

Maybe you'll be picked! I have that app and don't see anything about Samsung Pay Beta. Even searched for Samsung Pay and just a result that says "What is Samsung Pay" comes up.

Where was the link? It says I am a "platinum" member for whatever that means
So I called the hotline and after I gave them my account ID he said sometime tomorrow the server should switch on and let me continue with the app.. idk we shall see

I'm only a silver member. I originally saw it under the Discover section. Then it popped up on the homepage under the HELLO NAME, STATUS: SILVER, but now it seems to be gone. Maybe it was only there by mistake and then got taken down similar to the https://us.mpay.samsung.com/apk website. I'll keep watching for it again but that's strange.

I believe warez falls under programs/apps you would normally have to pay for. Just because beta isn't public, doesn't mean its an application that usually costs money. Releasing it isn't doing the company any harm financially.

Got the update and it's quite an improvement in speed and accuracy over the leaked versions downloadable everywhere. I would be careful about posting it to any sharing sites, as it is licensed to your individual phone and your beta agreement likely contains some language that can get you in some serious trouble. Swype is great and is being included with more and more OEM handsets, which means they have more to gain from going after pirates. IMHO...
I hope this won't make it any problem. :O I already gave the app out to some people. Does anyone know how to remove personal info and trial period limit?
someone in the nexus forum hacked the beta so that any phone with the same resolution can use it. if someone can upload the file, maybe we can do that here too. PM me if you want to be more discrete.

Yeah, I just posted on the Nexus one thread how to go through the process of hacking the beta that I received. If someone here knows how to do that I can always provide the new version. I have a CDMA Hero but it is the same screen resolution as the G1. I am trying to get it on my wifes hero, my firends G1, and my bros Mytouch 3g since all are same resolution.
I plan to get the samsung galaxy s but in the meantime a 320x480 version of the new beta with no expiration would be amazing.
I managed to get the latest beta for hvga. Im not sure if im allowed to post it though

I did but the only place that seems to have it is some site in another language that I do not understand. I went thru the site to find a link, and think I found it but I have to register to get the link. Since I dont understand the site I wont know how to registered. I will keep looking thanks for the help
Nope thats the site Use google translate although i had problems with it, it worked flawlessly if i just went straight to the site and let chrome translate it for me
But yea u gotta register and confirm in ur email n then download it But works flawlessly, i even themed it.
TIP: the captcha box, i guessed and added the 2 numbers n put the answer n it worked

pro tip: you can find it on the various interwebs, or as i heard it is available to download a new beta directly from swype's website. try here beta.swype.com. my internet at work is being slow, or i would try and find a link. or there is a swype thread on xda in the android app section.

disclaimer: i got in before for the swype beta program, so they just email me new versions, so i hadn't had to go search for one.

They advertised that a new public beta would be released today but if the website doesn't show it yet go ahead and sign up for the beta invite because the imminent public beta they are inviting at least new registers almost immediately. It took less than 12 hours for me to get invited after I registered yesterday. I'd share the apk but it requires your invite info to get it working. Try registering, even if you registered before.
FYI I typed this with the new beta.

Is there a way that I can use Google music in Canada? ....I got the new music app from the internet (it was not on the market) but I can't sign in....pretty lame for Google doing that....is there any work arounds?

Right now, the music beta is by invite only. You can go to the website http://music.google.com to sign up, but if you are out of the US, they just display a message that it is only available in the US. You can get around that by using a proxy like http://hidemyass.com to sign up, but if/when you get the actual invite, I don't know if it will still work.
I am still waiting for my invite to come through to test this from Germany.

Heh, listen, I don't like it either, but Google does it's testing under the conditions they set, which is often keeping it just in the US. With music laws, and data usage being so different, it's hard to blame them.
That being said, if you get an invite then yes it will work in Canada.

As brettbellaire mentioned, due to licensing terms, google has to limit it to the US right now. I am hoping it eventually gets lifted, but being in Germany, I am really used to country restrictions (even if I hate them). But as long as they have the US market, I doubt it will "fail" based on country restrictions alone. It will depend on their execution of the app and the storage and the eventual prices once it leaves beta status.
It works if you use a proxy to hide your ip. I did that and asked for an invite on the first day. Just recently got it. Have uploaded music, live in canada and works on my phone too. Just like Shivammcool said.
I can confirm it works in canada but I requested my invite through a US proxy at work...also to get it working on my nexus s and xoom I hadto install version 3.0.336 which allowed me to link my devices to my account and then I could install thev latest music apk...I dont know why but the latest version of the music app wouldntlet me register my device...

Hey folks. I got around the US-Only bit by proxying my way to the site. No problems there, and I could download the manager and upload my songs.
The problem is that I can't get the app for my phone. It identifies my phone as Rogers, and states it can't be installed.
Anyone know of a workaround for this?
You need to be rooted, and you use an app called "MarketEnabler" to make your phone appear as if it is on a US carrier, and then you can access all the US only apps. (you can also make your phone appear to come from other places and access those apps too, although there aren't many).

Be careful if somebody does post one. Your Social Security # is valuable to a hacker if you know what I mean
The developer needs to update for compatibility. That's all.
FWIW, I sent a complaint email to Ubisoft about AC4irates not being compatible with Nexus 6/Lollipop, basically told them "Hey, I know it's hard work, but seriously. Come on now." and got emails back with blah blah blah, but a week later it's now compatible and on my phone. Also, I really want Credit Karma back, too.
Never, never, never install bank related apps from unknown sources.
Check your DPI, that might be the issue. I am using a slim based ROM and mine is 493. I am able to install it just fine.
Edit: my apologies. Turns out I cannot install it. Weird, I did have it working before...

Beta just went live this morning here in the USA. Joined via the Members App and am installing the beta now.
As a side note, after joining, then trying to download the updated watch plug-in via the members app, it tells me I am not authorized. However, going to the Watch plug-in and checking for updates does in fact download the beta update. Certainly not very intuitive, but it is a beta after all.

After joining, I also got the bot authorized. Go to the galaxy wearable and hit 'software update ' and it installs.

It's still there in the 5 ad cards at the top. The last 2 are for Watch beta. One for Watch4 and the other for Watch5.

Mine was a Verizon phone, but I flashed U1 unlocked a long time ago.
So, just out of curiosity, I checked the members app on my tablet. Sure enough, the beta cards are there. BUT, it won't let me join. It says I'm not authorized or the entry to the program has expired.. Might be because it's on my tablet. Either way, LAME!

I got that same error message after I clicked the join button and answered and submitted the survey questions for both my Galaxy Watch4 and 5 Pro. I then went into the watch settings and did a check for an update in the download and install update part of the watch. You can so do it via the Wear app. If you complete the survey and get the error message, the update will be there.
No beta for my country, so I can't capture the update link. But I'll be following this thread to see if anyone can.
Please I still need update.zip for study...
