I bought a new back cover on ebay... It comes with all the antennas, but, in my case, it didn't help

My gps didn't work and after exhausting all software attempts I came across the antenna issue. On mine I put 3 very thin pieces of vinyl electrical tape under the antenna connector pads. You might want to start out with 1 or 2 pieces to start. When putting the cover back on that section required the most force to snap back into place. But it works like it should I'm glad to say.

that one should work, but this is the one i have it even lets me move the phone around for either view mode.

Cheapie case from Target

I was looking for SOME kind of belt case for my Streak (until real accessories are available) and I found this one at Target.
I ripped out the clear DS slip cover from the inside and put a few drops of gorilla glue about 2 inches down the side (the long side) of the zipper to keep it from opening too far... just so it is used as a slip case.
When clipping it to my belt loop via the caribiner it just looks like a "tool case"... It isn't the best, but for $10 it will do until something better comes along

Very innovative, some good information to know. Unfortunatley though everyone will think you are a ds junkie.

[Q] Seidio Case Question

Just bought one for the IncS & now looking at some other cases I notice they have extra holes for the ones on the phone while the Seidio cases doesn't. Does anyone know if these holes serve some purpose that they should not be covered?

I never even notice those wholes. I have a case that covers them and I never really had a problem. Although I find that if I have a week wifi signal and I take of the case it improuves a little bit.... but that might be in my head heheheh
remove the back cover, you can just see these holes correspond to the gps, radio module,
I guess these holes should be improved for the signal role of some..

Tetded case's smart cover feature does not work with Z3TC

So.. I got my new case from Tetded.
Upon my first try, I noticed that the screen didn't turn off when the flap is close.

}
Instead, the screen was closed when I open the flap all the way back.
and open again when I removed the flap from the back.
Also, you seems to be able to pry the leather open at the edge.
I believe this is due to the magnet position in the case. Not sure if it's because it was incorrectly positioned or they weren't designed for the smart cover function at all.
Anyway, I contact them and they issued me a refund via Paypal and another apologize email. They didn't explain anything though so I'm not sure if this happen on all units.

[REPAIR] Need help identifying a part + soldering

Hi,
I've a defective Google Pixel 4XL lying around I'd like to fix, however I can't figure out what what the part bordered in red is supposed to be. Anyone got a clue? I can't tell if it's a a capacitor or resistor and the value it's got. Tried to see if there are schematics for the motherboard, but so far no luck.
As for the part bordered in green: I know that's where the female connector for the battery (FPC) belongs. Would soldering it back with a good soldering iron be possible? Any clue where I can order these for cheap?
