Does anyone know if there is a way how to install and use the xposed framework on EMUI 3.1 based on 5.1.1?
The same question.

Those who doing xposed app can't be arsed doing anything ..
Maybe supporting Samsung only ?
To be honest there is nothing interesting anyway..
I have it done I successesfully installed xposed on my P7. But I had to disable some processes they causes a bootloop...
But after disabling those processes some important functions won't work anymore...
There is no status bar anymore and no keys. So if you are in an app, you can't go back cause there is no key to go back or to homescreen...
So I successesfully installed xposed but I can't use my mobile phone anymore :/
So we have to wait.
If you want I could post a logcat.
Sorry for my bad English :/
Could you please give instructions how you exactly installed it anyways? I'd really like to try.

1. Root your phone of course
2. Flash TWRP Recovery (2.8.7.0)
3. Do a full backup with TWRP, I had at the beginning a lot of bootloops so I need to recover my backup very often...
4. Start your phone normally and download an alternativ Launcher e.g. Nova Launcher
5. Go to Terminal Emulator (or some other app)
5.1 Type:
- "su"
- "pm disable com.huawei.android.launcher"
- "pm disable com.android.keyguard"
- "pm disable com.android.systemui"
6. Reboot your phone into Recovery Mode.
7. Flash the latest zip (I tried with v75) => Clear Cache an Dalvik Cache
8. Now your phone should reboot without bootloop
9. You have NO "BACK-Buttton" or "HOME-Buttton" so if you want to exit an app you need to reboot your phone!
If something went wrong recover your backup
Information:
If you are not disabeling those three processes your phone will be in a bootloop.
I hope this will help you but if you have an idea how to get it working, tell me

To make short, after root, you install the apk joined, and you can disable and convert any apps in your phone
it's easy to use.
you can desable Hw launcher from it ( and enable if you want ) ...
for me to test some other launchers and make them default, i have to desable Hw launcher.
Now for desabling " com.android.systemui ", ofcourse you will have no navbar, and bootloop, what is the utility if you can't use your phone ?

I know, but mudk1pz wants to know how I did it.
I know that if I am disabeling the systemui process, there will be no navigation bar anymore.
But you are not completely right, only if you are not disabeling one of those processes your phone will stuck in a bootloop.
So if you have some ideas what to change so we don't have to disable those processes, tell us
In my first post, I already wrote that if you are installing xposed on your phone you can't use your anymore
Thank you. But is it possible to navigate still by gestures? Because I am using gmd gesture control and have disabled the nav bar on purpose. So is this method still usable after disabling all these?

Yeah! Thank you soo much! It work perfectly
v75 is working if you are disabeling the following processes
- com.huawei.android.launcher (use instead e.g. Nova Launcher)
- com.android.keyguard
- com.android.systemui (Use GMD Gestues for NavBar)
Only Problem, you donĀ“t have a lockscreen...
If you have any questions tell me
I would really like to try but I am afraid of losing data. Is there a way beside cwm backup to save the data? My cwm backup is not working anymore.

If you want to try it, install TWRP. CWM may cause some issue.
TWRP backup work for me. But you can also try Nandroid backup.
Btw do you have root or an unlocked bootloader?
How do I do a Nandroid backup? I tried it and it worked but I have to have the statusbar. Do you know a way how to get it?
I have an unlocked bootloader and root.
I uninstalled it now.
I would recommend to use an external lock screen out of the playstore to solve this problem.
But without statusbar daily use is not possible for me. I tried to install busy box and it not even recognised xposed.

I never worked with Nandroid backup, I just know it as an alternative to the recovery backup.
Just flash the TWRP 2.8.7.0 version with adb/fastboot. There you can do the full backup. I don't know if it's really working if you flash it with cwm.
But before you start flashing xposed pleas do a backup, trust me. I learned it on a hard way... I lost all data. If you get once in a bootloop you are happy if you know that you have a backup.
I don't know how to get the statusbar back. The statusbar is the same like the navbar... You disabled systemui process, so it won't work.
The next few days I have no time to try something out, but if you fix the problem post it
Maybe the next version of xposed will work without disabling those three processes.

I sometimes have to be "on-call" throughout the night when sleeping. I therefore need to be reachable by phone.
I do not however want alerts from facebook, youtube, whatsapp, eBay etc going off in the night.
Is there an app that can turn all notifications off and just leave phone calls on? Its an effort to go to settings>apps>turn off notifications from each app only to have to turn them on the next day when I wake up.
I dont mind having the flashing l.e.d. or the visual indication on the top bar, I just dont want to hear the alert.

Ok first thing that you have to do is root your phone
After that install xposed framework from here http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
after installing it open xposed installer on your phone ,then in framework click on install/update after that reboot your phone
then go back into xposed installer click on download and search for ringer notification volume unlink ,download and install it then go back to modules in xposed installer and enable this by pressing on the tick mark
and then reboot your phone
After all this go to settings then in sounds you will find different volume slider for ringer and notifications

I have given up on this, it will now be a project for a different day when I have more time to read into it.
Now if I try to update to 4.3 I get "could not install new software version. Try again"
What is the process for restoring the phone back to factory settings. Is it a clean flash I need to do?

Looks good, you might want to start over with a clean install of safestrap...
1) verify you have root access https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck&hl=en
2) uninstall busybox
3) uninstall safestrap recovery (in the app)
4) uninstall safestrap app
5) reboot
6) redownload (just in case of bad download) and install safestrap 3.71
7) open safestrap app and grant root access
8) install safestrap recovery
9) reboot
If you get any errors then you may need to reroot or head over to the MJ5 restore thread

Hey, my friends of the L90 Discussion Forums.
I know there was already a previously made text guide for this, but since some people like visuals, I made a quick video tutorial for it.
All the instructions and download links are in the description of the video. I'll paste them here just if you are too lazy to get the YouTube video open from the YouTube site.
Here's the video:
(Sorry for any wording mess-ups I made. I'm a better script/speech writer than I am a presenter.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaGM-TtlRbM
__
I did not originally come up with how to get the bootloader. Credit to Quarx from XDA and his friends at 4pda.ru.
Ok, So, here are the instructions if you did not find it clear enough from the video, and got your **** stuck in a ceiling fan:
Requirements:
1. Root (Use Towelroot)
2. Terminal app (I used an app called Android Tuner Pro. Remember to enable SU when installing Recovery and rebooting or it may not work)
3. twrp.img - http://bit.ly/1IZ2BRn - download from google drive
Instructions:
1. Ensure that your phone is rooted.
2. Download and move twrp.img to internal sdcard (/sdcard)
3. Open up terminal app, ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE SU ENABLED, and type in this command:
dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17
3.5. If the command works, it should take a few seconds and it will say "11 MB has been transferred in so and so seconds"
4. After that, type in:
reboot recovery
It should then reboot into the newly installed TWRP recovery. Wait now, Why isn't anything working when I touch it? Well, TWRP has a small error that doesn't recognize touches the first time around, so wait till the screen times out after 60 seconds, turn the screen back on, and unlock. Then it should be usable. Remember to change the screen timeout to 15 if you don't want to wait.
There you go, that should be about it.
Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not take responsibility for damage done to your phone. You do this at your own risk.
See original instructions here: (go down to quarx's post) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2770938&page=31

Can I flash CM11 using TWRP after installing TWRP using this method, ? Is there a way to access TWRP Recovery by pressing a combination of buttons when the phone is rebooting? I tried to load TWRP Recovery by turning off the phone then pressing the volume down button and the power button, but I got the factory hard reset instead. I didn't do the factory data reset.

I have not tried flashing any ROMs or anything yet on it.
Also, I found a key combination, which is exactly the one you said. Problem is, the guide I read it from said you need to go through with the Erase Phone and whatever, and then it will load your recovery, but I'm not risking what I've done so far just to try to get into Recovery.
Instead, I made a small app that uses the Shell and Root to simply perform a reboot into Recovery by the press of a button.

Yeah, I do believe there should be, mostly, ability to switch root apps.
Is it safe to flash CM11 once you have recovery? Would that take erase towel root and root access somehow and then TWRP along with it? Or would TWRP recovery survive?
I am unsure. I am the kind of guy that enjoys Stock so I've never bothered to flash anything. Best off asking someone who is a heavy flasher and active user.

Towel root is only used for the rooting process, it can be deleted once you install supersu and busybox, or like you want flash a custom rom, any thing is safe oto do once you have a custom recovery as long as you follow op's directions on flashing their rom. Always read directions and as much info as can first. Recovery will always be safe unless you flash a kdz with lg flash tool which is used to completely return to stock, recovery, system and all. Also always back up while in recovery before flashing. Its always good to have back up stock rom, or any roms you like in case you decide to switch back or between them.

What does busybox do? I installed it and every time I open the app it says "Smart Install is loading ...You may go ahead and install Busybox or wait for Smart Install to finish loading". There are boxes to tick under "Smart Install" that can only be used in the PRO edition. The boxes are: "Enable Smart Install", "Replace All (Symlinks all)", and "Clean Mode". I don't know what these options do, but from the reviews I've read the PRO edition can break WIFI and even break the phone. If I do buy the PRO edition, and I flash CM11, it would wipe out the app. Would I have to buy it all over again from the play store?

Just open the app and click install once rooted and supersu binarys are install. Rooted apps use the commands and things busy box installs to run. Never had an issue with it, like said just hit install and leave the app on the phone for updates. When you install a custom rom they're s already built in, really only use for rooting the stock rom.

Hey,
I have the snapchat connection issue and I heard about probleme with xposed framework
My problem is how can I disable it ? or uninstall the framework ?
When I go on the xposed interface > framework, the button uinstall is grey-out.
I also tried to go on recovery, but I don't have the "install from sd card..." to flash the uninstaller script

Hey,
I have the snapchat connection issue and I heard about probleme with xposed framework
My problem is how can I disable it ? or uninstall the framework ?
When I go on the xposed interface > framework, the button uinstall is grey-out.
I also tried to go on recovery, but I don't have the "install from sd card..." to flash the uninstaller script

Well, one of the first things mentioned here on XDA related to Xposed for Lollipop is the need for a custom recovery How did you manage to install the framework if you have no "install from SD card" within your recovery? If there is a custom recovery available for your device, flash it (TWRP recommended, tutorials available on Google or XDA).
You could have searched for "snapchat xposed" or "disable xposed" and would have found those threads.

How to Disable Xposed on Lollipop when stuck in Bootloop
I forgot how I did lol, it was some months ago
But i think it was with an install script on windows
Edit: yea I justfind the tut, it was with adb (method2 here)
Ok so if there is no other method I will try to intall the TWRP but I remember there were risks of bricks :S

Sure, if you don't follow the instructions for the installation of TWRP, there is a risk of bricking your device But it is rather easy as step-by-step instructions are available.
Hey guys, I am trying to use an application called XMODGAMES on my Samsung Tab S2. If you are not familiar with the application it is used with games to make them automated (i.e. perform tasks that would if done manually waste hours of your time).
Yesterday, I was able to root my device using the following techniques: I downloaded odin, cf_autoroot, and t810 5.1.1 boot. This actually ended up boot-looping my device so I used odin to flash to a stock firmware, installed twrp, and then installed SuperSu (yay root). Then I downloaded XMODGAMES and it is failing to work with the device, upon troubleshooting I found that there is an issue with "Enforcing" with Samsung devices that causes the application to not work. There are a few workarounds (given by XMODGAMES) that I attempted but I can not get it to work so I am looking for your advice and help.
This is the link to their workaround and videos: http://www.xmodgames.com/faq/64.html
TLDR: You use Lucky Patcher and SD2LINK to move the XMODGAMES application to the system/app directory and use ODEX as well as a few more actions. The issue that I am having is when I move it to the system directory the app icon disappears and I can no longer open or remove it. When I go to the local storage I can see the folder for the app but I cannot access it.
Seeking your expertise, and a HUGE thank you in advance.
I think I know what u problem is... u can either flash a different Kernel with Permissive SElinux or Search XDA for an app called SElinuxChanger that will allow to modify ur stock kernel on the fly, also I think U might need to install busybox not sure though.. I would Install it anyway but it seem u might have it already since u are using lucky patcher.. please let me know if it worked.

I downloaded SElinuxChanger but whenever I change the mode to Permissive it does not last long before it is reverted back to Enforcing. I have also tried to reboot several times and the mode does not stick. When I rooted my device yesterday I followed these rooting instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/general/guide-root-tab-s2-t3205019
I thought I already flashed a permissive kernel, I am not sure why it would still show enforcing? When I downloaded the stock firmware would it overwrite the kernel? Can I simply flash the kernel from the root guide again and will everything work properly? Or will that total mess everything up?
Maybe @ashyx and/or @DeeXii can help, they know their stuff.

upon reading u OP I notice u encounter the same issues I did and then rooted the same way I did, and to answer ur question yes u need a new kernel with SElinux Permisive since using odin to flash stock does overwrite everything now I dont know if that kernel is good for ur build... since u came across the same Issue as me I'm guessing that u're currently on PB1 build which is the latest correct? so at least for now stay away from now.. I use that app as well and I'm working on getting it to work as we speak as Soon as I get it working I'll share my method with ya..

Hey Jay, why does Samsung have to be so difficult? Ahh! I'm sorry to hear that you're in the same boat as me but it is somewhat relieving to know that I am not in this alone. I will have to look at what build I have when I get home and get back to you. Getting this app to work is very important to me, so important that I will return the tablet if I cannot get it to work in the next 10 days and get something compatible. I'd love to help in any way that I can to get us both up and running. Please let me know!

It's weird bud I had never came across this problem, til now not only that I was having difficulty keeping root while on Stock rooted, but anyway to what's important I got the app to work yesterday after experimenting with kernels and what not, I couldn't get it to work on stock rooted so I move to flashing roms that is how I go it working. So flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/rom-neked-nook-oj1-5-1-1-710-t3317823
follow this instructions:
1- Full wipe
2- Flash rom and Flash second file
3- reboot, here's where it gets tricky most likely u will encounter the same issue I did u gonna get a distortion on ur screen and blinking screen don't panic just let it boot once u are in the language selection screen turn it off now boot into recovery.
4- Flash last kernel.
5- Wipe cache/dalvik
Profit. Good luck.. let me know how it goes.

That is awesome news! Congratulations. I am very excited to do this when I get home tonight. I am sorry for my newb-ness (I do not do these types of things often) but I just want to make sure I don't mess something up. I am assuming that when I flash all of these files I am just booting into download mode, using Odin, selecting the files for AP and hitting start (please correct me if I am wrong). Can you please answer the questions in the bullets below?
follow this instructions:
1- Full wipe
Is this just a hard factory reset or do I have to wipe a specific way? Using TWRP?
2- Flash rom and Flash second file
Is this the proper order from this link? http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/rom-neked-nook-oj1-5-1-1-710-t3317823
1) Neked_Nook-710/810 - 810 users MUST flash this ROM and the file below after installing this ROM and BEFORE rebooting.
2) Neked_Nook-810-file-2 - 810 users MUST flash this- Flash this file AFTER flashing the ROM and BEFORE rebooting
3- reboot, here's where it gets tricky most likely u will encounter the same issue I did u gonna get a distortion on ur screen and blinking screen don't panic just let it boot once u are in the language selection screen turn it off now boot into recovery.
When I boot into recovery, am I booting into TWRP? Or did the full wipe clean this out? How do you flash from recovery as I would think it would be done in download mode + Odin.
4- Flash last kernel.
Do I flash this kernel? Permissive-OJ1-kernel-810.zip It was the first response in the thread. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759882106
5- Wipe cache/dalvik
Do I wipe cache/dalvik before I reboot or can I do this after I reboot using SD2LINK or any app?
Again, I am sorry for my newbness but I just want to make sure I don't mess something up by accident. Thanks in advance.

At this point I'm assuming u have root and twrp installed, You will not need Odin at this point unless something goes wrong.
Before u start anything make sure u have all files inside ur tablet before wiping anything, also don't forget to make a back up of ur current Rom.
1-Everything is done in trwp recovery full wipe is System, cache, Dalvik, Data NOTHING ELSE DO NOT WIPE INTERNAL.
2- yes follow those instructions, FLASH THE ROM DO NOT REBOOT N THEN FLASH FILE 2. once that's done reboot. You will encounter a very glitchy system, don't panic wait til it fully reboots and then turn it off now boot into recovery again.
3- the full wipe will not erase TWRP u can't loose that unless u Odin stock. To boot into recovery just hold down Vol up+ home button+power when Tab s2 screen appears release after 2 or 3 secs now u will be in recovery. Once there u do what I already explained, flashing will be done with the install tab.
4- yes flash that kernel
5- Wipe after kernel finish flashing to avoid issues..
Good luck. Let me know if u have anymore questions

Awesome job! It works! Woohoooooo! I really appreciate our journey on getting us there , even thought you did all of the work. Thank you so much. I have a few more questions if you don't mind.
1) Samsung devices play games in low resolution so I downloaded Gamer Tuner (to max the res) but it says that the device is unsupported or not a Samsung device. I'm not sure what I can or cannot enable without confusing the system. I can't find a similar app out there either.
2) Now that my device is a Nook, lol. How do I get rid of all of the Nook stuff? Can I just start deleting stuff without consequence? Especially the main Nook page and preferable all of the buttons that say NOOK on them.
Again though, you did it and you're the man! Thank you good sir!

For ur nook app problem this is the solution
If you DO NOT want the BNN interface/apps, you'll need to use a rooted explorer and delete /system/app/NookAMV. Then got to App Manager and uninstall Nook.app.
For the game tuner app do you get a gameservice error? I think the solution for ur problem lies in the apps that were removed if go back to the thread there are two zips that u need one is removed appso and the add+apps flashable. U need to pick from the removed appso zip and placed them into the add+apps flashable zip into the right folder and then flash it in twrp.
As for me is not that big of the deal either app since I play on my phone, and i'm glad u got it working just giving back to the community as they have given to me.

Thanks for the quick reply as always. Everything you said worked like a charm! I added the GameOptimizer app back and it allowed me to use the Samsung Game Tuner app to fix the resolution. You're the man! Last thing that seemed a little weird was when I restart - the tablet does not automatically connect to my home WiFi, I have to manually re-enter the password and connect. I am wondering if I need to add more apps back. I'll play with it more tomorrow but thanks again for your time and help!

Thanks for the Kernel info u beat me to it. Reason I'm moving is because since there isn't much development for this tablet yet (I'm staying optimistic that it will pick up) I much rather stay close to stock as much as possible.
